Kumarakom Hotels with Free Breakfast

We found Taj to be an extremely good Hotel. The rooms were very neat and clean. Housekeeping staff were very helpful and gave good service. The administrative staff especially Ms.Priya was extremely hospitable a d very helpful in solving all our problems. The food was also excellent. Very good all-round experience. Even though we come from Mumbai and we have a great coast line in Maharashtra with lot of great places to stay at, CL is indeed a unique place. Its location is unique. With water all-around and boats to take people. We found the restaurants very cosy and homely and that’s not possible without food that is great and doesn’t feel like outside food. I liked the restaurant décor that ***** with our villa enhances the feel of being in a traditional Kerala set up. The staff are pleasant, soft spoken & prompt. I loved the dress code. Special thanks to Thomas for pouring filter coffee from a height and making it enjoyable. Am extremely indebted to Mr Dinesh for his valuable insights about temples of Kerala and his guidance to visit Shiva temple in Kottayam. He managed to make me skip eggs for breakfast (since we were visiting 4 Shiva temples). That’s a feat. My Mom will be pleased because she never managed to have her way with me in skipping eggs on imp festival days!!! Thanks to Akshay at your sea food restaurant for making our dinner memorable. And finally, Thanks to Ms Shiny for he hospitality. She has warmth written all over her face and a lady lime countenance that’s quite rare in the hospitality industry. We created one of the finest memories staying here for our 10th Anniversary. The property is simply heaven in terms of service, room quality, location, food and special mention to the staff here. They go out of the way to give you personalized service. Front desk team for us was brilliantly handled by Binisha & Gloria. Restaurant Food Manager Mr Johny was always very warm and affectionate and helped us to choose our Ala Cart items wisely. Mr Kavi was the guy who needs special mention for his Impeccable talent in mobile photography. Must get your pictures clicked through him. Overall everyone in the team were wonderful.

This place clearly is past its prime from the looks of it. Our Deluxe Lagoon view room is past its ‘best by’ date. The furniture is fraying, the mirror has big stains, the room had a stink when we checked in, the aircon works only at one setting - 19 degrees. The woodwork has been shoddily repaired, the glass door has turned yellow with grime. The maintenance and upkeep of the property evidently de***ds serious attention. Sadly, when I attempted to show some pictures of the room to the ***agement, it barely caused any concern. I was informed that the extended Covid lockdown - and the tropical climate and moist air, has taken a huge toll on the property. In other words, we really can’t do much! However, supposedly a revamp of the property is underway - doesn’t help us though. While the explanation maybe valid, the nonchalant response was galling and totally unexpected. And any way, why shouldn’t we, as paying guests, expect better? At breakfast this morning, the papaya was un-ripened, the pineapple was overripe and discoloured. And the best. - they couldn’t find decent, fresh and ripe local bananas to serve! At lunch, the Thai green curry was spicy - so spicy and none of us four could eat more than one spoon. We refused to eat it and asked them to take it back. Yet amazingly, it appeared on our bill - no apologies offered. Naturally, we refused to pay for the dish. Quite eventful first 24 hours.

My husband and I had a great experience with Niraamaya Kovalam Resort in February 2023 and so decided to try their Kumarakom location this year. We weren’t disappointed, and found the same beautiful surroundings, personalized service and comfortable accommodations as on our previous experience. Our private lake-view villa with small pool was the perfect getaway from India’s large, crowded cities. I enjoyed the Ayurveda massages on a near-daily basis, while my husband appreciated the range of western and Indian dishes in the restaurant. We’d like to give a special shoutout to Prasanna, Restaurant Supervisor, and Habilash, Housekeeping Supervisor, both of whom contributed greatly to making our stay comfortable. Although relaxing and enjoying the tranquil beauty of Kumarakom was our main purpose, we were also able to visit the centuries-old Hindu temples of Ettumanoor and Vaikom within a short drive of an hour or less, and take a leisurely boat trip to sites located on Lake Vembanad. We will definitely be back to Kerala and look forward to visiting Niraamaya’s other locations.

i recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful resort, and it was an incredibly relaxing experience. the ambience inside the property is truly pleasing and serene, with a nature-friendly vibe that immediately puts you at ease. the rooms were well-maintained, spacious, and provided a perfect balance of comfort and style. one of the highlights of the resort is definitely the pool—it’s stunning and adds so much to the overall experience. if you’re visiting, i highly recommend opting for the pool-view villas; they offer an unbeatable view and atmosphere. the food was delicious, with a wide variety of options, although slightly on the pricey side. that said, the quality more than made up for it. lastly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. overall, a wonderful place for a peaceful getaway!
