"The hotel is located by the sea. The food tasted good. Nice room with air condition. Frendly peopel and staff. Balcony facing the sea. Quiet! The sun loungers nearest the sea were very expensive, not the hotels they were free. "

📍 Titov Trg 3/1, Labin

"We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. After checking into Room 10, we left for dinner and returned around 9:00 PM to a very strong sewage smell in the room. We immediately reported it to the receptionist, Sasha, who told us that previous guests had complained about the same issue. Unfortunately, the hotel had no alternative room available. We were left without a place to stay late at night with our two small children and had to find other accommodations. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this situation was handled poorly and I think future guests should be aware."

Boutique Hotel Adoral

Boutique Hotel Adoral ★★★★

📍 Obala M. Tita 2a, Rabac

"This hotel has a great location on the pedestrian promenade of Rabac, with numbered parking spaces allocated to guests on the road behind which is great (you're given a key for a padlocked space on arrival, if you advise them in advance that you will have a car). Breakfast (included in our rate) was a good buffet selection with particularly nice fresh sliced fruit and fresh bread to slice yourself. Breakfast staff were very helpful and provided hot drinks and were generally very on the ball. Our double bed was comfortable. Rooms feel rather corporate and impersonal but are fine. Standard rooms are below the level of the walkway so you only have a sea view when standing up but it was nice to have chairs out on our own section of terrace even if not private, given people can look down on you from outside! If you want more privacy, ie a room with a balcony on a higher floor, then you need to choose a more expensive room category. The terrace gets the sun most of the day so is very hot, with the glass screen by the walkway keeping any breeze away. There were no proper chairs inside our standard room, just one stool by the desk/mirror table. There is however a wardrobe complete with minibar fridge and kettle and supplies for hot drinks, plus a safe. A complimentary bottle of water was provided in the room on our 1st day but not replaced on our second day. It was a shower over the bath. Personally we prefer walk in showers, but it was a decent pressure and hot. Plenty of dining options very close by, plus a bakery next door. Just to note that reception was a bit odd - it was not obvious from outside as we approached. It turns out that the reception office is really just a cubicle inside a door marked with room numbers. Once inside, then there's a round table marked Reception immediately outside of the cubicle, but it would be good to have a Reception sign on the outside wall to help new arrivals know they've come to the right door! But once we were in, both receptionists we met were helpful. Beach towels are available on request from reception and we spent a day on the main Rabac beach which is 5 mins walk around the promenade. It's a pebble beach but we were pleasantly surprised to find that just a few metres out there was a lovely sandy bottom. 2 sun loungers and a sunshade were 25 euros to rent for the day. There's a decent pizzeria behind, belonging to one of the big hotels, where we enjoyed a pizza and Greek salad lunch. If you prefer small hotels then the Adoral is for you - there are some huge hotel complexes locally which seemed popular with families but they aren't our thing, so we were pleased with our choice! Rabac is a busy small resort but is surprisingly scenic, set at the end of a valley below Labin, and there's a nice harbour area just around the corner from the hotel with some bars and more restaurants. We used the local tourist "train" to scope out the local area on arrival - it costs 3 euros for an adult single ticket and r"

Hotel Hedera - Maslinica Hotels & Resorts
8.0 (25 reviews)

Hotel Hedera - Maslinica Hotels & Resorts ★★★★

📍 Maslinica 2, Rabac

"The hotel is part of a huge hotel complex (Narcis, Hedera, Mimosa). Parking is very tight. The renovated room is modern and spacious, with a closet and plenty of storage space. The couch had a table. The double bed was two single beds put together. The balcony overlooked the roof of the dining room, with a partial sea view. The air conditioning only managed 27°C when the outside temperature was 30-35°C. Cleaning was inconsistent: sometimes good, sometimes less so. Bath towels were sometimes replaced, sometimes just cleared away. Dining room: We were assigned assigned seating for our group – we liked that. Drinks were included at the table, even with refills. The buffet breakfast and dinner were plentiful and varied, always including local dishes and freshly baked pizza. Beach: A short walk to the beautiful, crystal-clear pebble beach. The front loungers are state-owned and subject to a fee (€25). The hotel's free loungers are located in a designated area behind the beach, very narrow and always crowded during the day. About a 15-minute walk to the beach promenade to Rabac. There, there are more swimming opportunities at the lighthouse. There's a small supermarket with everything you need at the neighboring Hotel Narcis. We didn't need the pools or leisure facilities. Summary: Very suitable for families with children due to the good infrastructure and leisure options."

"If you are looking for hotel worth its money it is not this one. We have paid a lot tor this 3 star hotel. Look like camp. Food is disaster ( mashed potato is not from potato), drinks are chemicals, beach is small and you have to pay. Find something nearby for twice cheaper and you’ll get fear price."

"All in all, it was 10 very nice days. We were the 2 times there and this time even in the first row and watched the sea every morning. We enjoyed it very well. Friendship TOP Cleanliness TOP Fitness studio TOP Pool for children TOP Price TOP Improvement proposals: -A little noisy for children in the evening - Entertainment music/ wedding ect. - Wipet disturbs the beautiful view of the sea ( I find inappropriate and artificial even if I have 3 children. :-) - Women's toilet smells to urine/fecals waste water pipes?? Cleaning staff cleans very well. I don't think that's what it is."

Hotel Hedera - Maslinica Hotels & Resorts ★★★★
"Croatia is a mesmirisingly beautiful country and it is really nice to visit it and enjoy its beauty. The hotel is situated in a small place called Rabac and overall I had a wonderful time there. The main highlights for me was the food at the hotel restaurant and its location. There was plenty of choice both for breakfasts and dinners and I would give it 5 out of 5 for it. The hotel also has a lovely sauna area where you can chill out ;-) and relax. The prices for massages were also of good value for money. The hotel is immaculately clean and it has the staff like cleaners from some Asian countries to do the hard work. And they are absolutely amazing, I do hope their pay reflects it otherwise it is not clear to me why the country with the high unemployment rates would bring people to work there. The economy rooms on the 6th and 7th floor which were overlooking the road are without doubt the worst rooms I have ever stayed in. They are tiny and they don't have a balcony or a terrace so the experience of having such a room is not great. I spoke to two people who upgraded to better rooms with the balcony/terrace and a sea view. So if you are picking up a room while booking this hotel try to choose wisely not to be disappointed. :-) The upgrade of the room is 25 euros per person per day when you are at the hotel. So if you are a couple you will end up paying an extra 350 euros per a week which I find to be too much as even better rooms are far from the modern standards in the hotel business. You can use sunbeds on the beach for free but they are a bit further away from the sea. It looks as if whatever can be sold in Croatia will be sold as you can't enjoy a view without paying for it. All these upselling of things which is a part of the hotel experience in the majority of other countries is irritating to say the least. On the first night at the hotel people were not allowed to use a terrace. The hotel doesn't have too many facilities on offer why to stop people from using a terrace with a beautiful view is beyond me. You cannot have your coffee in the morning there either as the only way to use is to buy something from very overpriced bar. When you arrive at the hotel there is no warm welcome or any welcome at al unfortunately. As it was a TUI trip for me with an early flight I was at the hotel at 10:30 in the morning and I was told to come at 14:00 or 15:00. It was raining cats and dogs and there was even hail on that day and to be sent outside in these conditions seemed to be more than unwelcoming. When I was leaving the hotel the receptionist did not ask how was my stay and I was not even was told "good-bye or thank you". In my opinion Croatia is way behind its competitors in the hospitality sector in comparison to other countries in the world. Its natural beauty helps it to attract the tourists I think. As Rabac is so tiny I do recommend to take a day boat trip which includes lunch and visit to two islands which I found to be a great value for"
