Great location, within walking distance to tourist attractions and plenty of food options nearby. The hotel is a bit old overall, and cleanliness could be improved. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast offered good variety.

The hotel is very near to the ferry going to Cijin Island.. the view is amazing from the room. Really appreciate the free flow coffee at the lobby and everything is great here!

The room is clean and spacious, facilities are great, and the staff are super friendly. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the train station though. Since it’s converted from an old commercial building, you have to climb about 10 steps through the mall to get up to the hotel, not the most convenient if you’ve got big luggage. Also, at night some of the mall doors get locked, so you might need to ask security how to get in, which is a bit of a hassle. Overall, it’s more suitable for business travelers than leisure ones.

The hotel was nice. The Bathroom was clean and nice hot shower. The water pressure was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the Air conditioning was nice. The staff were helpful. During my stay, I felt peaceful and there was no noise. The only thing I felt uncomfortable was the lighting. I felt the bathroom lighting was very dim. There were only 2 small light bulbs in the bathroom. I feel the bathroom should be well lit. The bathroom was dim and dark. 

Its location directly across from the ferry pier means its convenience is only average. However, the facilities are excellent (they have a beverage bar and a washing machine), and the breakfast is quite good. Considering the room rate, it's very reasonable, offering high overall value for money. If you don't mind being a bit further from the city center, it's a great choice!

The room was very clean and well-equipped. It had local outlets, USB ports, and even a multi-purpose socket that accommodates European plugs, including UK three-pin types. There was also a lighted makeup mirror. This hotel operates on a passive cleaning system, meaning guests need to request cleaning or replenishment of consumables. Most larger hotels, however, proactively clean rooms and restock supplies unless a 'Do Not Disturb' sign is activated. Check-in is at 4 PM, which is a bit later than the 3 PM standard at most hotels and inns.

The room was quite spacious and had a window. The price was very cheap, just over 600 NTD per night—even more upscale than a backpacker's room! The only downside was that it was a bit of a walk from the MRT station, which might be inconvenient if you're carrying luggage. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kaohsiung.

The building used to be a harbor staff dormitory and has been thoughtfully renovated into a boutique hotel. The design blends industrial elements with modern minimal touches, giving the space a calm and slightly artistic atmosphere that fits perfectly with the surrounding Pier-2 district. Our room was simple but very comfortable. The bed was cozy, the room was clean, and everything felt well maintained. While the hotel focuses more on design and location than luxury facilities, it provides everything you need for a pleasant stay. Some rooms even offer partial views of the harbor, which adds to the experience of staying in this port city. Another great advantage is transportation. The Light Rail stop is only a few minutes away, making it easy to reach other parts of Kaohsiung such as Love River, Central Park, or connect to the MRT system. Overall, PAPO’A Harbor Hotel is a lovely boutique stay for travelers who appreciate design, convenience, and a relaxed harbor atmosphere. It may not be a large luxury hotel, but its charm, location, and unique character make it a memorable place to stay in Kaohsiung.

From Exit 1 of Huchengpu Station, cross the road and turn right 2 intersections to find it. It is closer. You need to be familiar with the road. Otherwise, you can find it from the main road, which takes 2-3 minutes. It is in a small alley in the residential area. It is quiet. The rooms are big. The air conditioner is very cold.
