Hotels near Eastern District in Taipei

Right outside the hotel is the MRT station, which is super convenient! This is my second time staying here, and the hotel is as busy as ever, mostly with tourists. The lobby is always lively every time I visit, and the restaurant is also fantastic. The Sichuan restaurant upstairs is perfect for me!

The room is dated but location is centralised with a mall next to it. Escalator and walking distance helps to make luggages easier to handle. Rooms are relatively big. The lift system - you have to press both lifts for it to work and often a long waiting time. The dryer on 4th floor had a ”broke down” notice and when asked the reception, she gave me a nearby laundromat but it is not self-service coin operated. We booked with breakfast but i'll say, give the breakfast a miss.

The hotel is right next to the MRT station. After exiting, you'll see HM, and then just walk into the mall next to it to find the elevator. Even though other floors of the mall have a gym, e-sports room, and nightclub, it doesn't feel chaotic at all, as there are security guards on duty. The entire floor is occupied by Yunmu. The front desk staff are very polite, and the rooms are clean and bright. They even offer a service to purchase local specialty snacks for you. It's super convenient for getting around; Taipei Arena is just a 10-minute walk away. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The room facilities are outdated. The sofa was completely unusable due to a large sag in the middle. The towels looked dirty and old, and the slippers were paper-thin. I can't believe the hotel provides such low-quality items to guests – it's really bad! Luckily, the bed was decent and the shower had good water pressure. On another note, there was a constant machine-like humming noise in both the room and the hallway. This hotel is definitely not for light sleepers. The front desk staff weren't very friendly either, but the restaurant staff at breakfast were very kind.

Room was small but adequate for a single person. Was pleasantly surprised that it came equipped with a bar fridge and fixture to hang clothes. Toilet/shower was shared but extremely clean and tidy as seen in the photos, where the use was restricted to 10 guests from the single room. During my stay, I only ever encountered another guest using the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and pillow was firm enough (some hotels use cheap pillows which have 0 head support) to provide a good night's sleep. The location of the hotel was excellent as well, situated between 2 metro stations (Zhongxiao Dun Hua and Zhongxiao Fu Xing), with a direct entrance right at the entrance which leads into the underground mall which links to both metro stations. There is also a carrefour, family mart and 24hr McDonald's nearby. Overall this is excellent value for money at S$44 per night, will definitely stay here again in Taipei when I return.

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times. It's in a great location, just 200 meters from the Taipei Arena and very close to the subway station. The surrounding area has a well-developed business district, with Breeze Nanjing right next door, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient.

The staff was like a robot, asking the questions again and again. In just 20mins, he couldn't recognize me and do the check in process again. The location is crazily good with MRT elevator exit just downstairs. A floor below is karaoke so you will feel vibration and bass, but they provide ear plugs.

Free snacks and drinks are available on the ground floor, and the service is excellent, with a good location to boot. However, the hotel's biggest drawback is its outdated facilities. My room didn't have a window, and in a twin room, only one bed had a bedside light switch, and neither had power outlets at the headboard, which was quite inconvenient.

Booked two rooms for my trip, one for my parents and one for my wife and I. It's a cozy hotel, all rooms are located on one level which is the same as the reception. Room size is decent, enough for both of us to put down our luggages and open them at the same time. I appreciate the mirror and basin is outside the toilet, however no hand soap was provided and there isn't any rack or hook around to put a hand towel. Bathroom has a bathtub that doubles as the shower area, however there is a concern as there is quite a height difference and can be slippery when wet. I would appreciate if they would install accessibility hand holds for the elderly so they can reduce the risk of falling when climbing out from the bathtub. Water and snacks are readily provided, the snack area make way for breakfast in the morning and the food is quite decent. Though if you're in Taiwan for the first time you might want to go out and try out the various ********* breakfast like egg crepe, soy milk with fried dough etc. Location wise this hotel is just one of the best place I've stayed in Taiwan, it's close to two metro stations and there are tons of stuff to eat around. There's also two sogo shopping centres nearby, with NET and Uniqlo flagships stores along the same street too if you're looking for affordable fits. No laundry though, not even coin operated ones. I've stayed in similar style hotel in Taiwan which has those provided so I'm a little disappointed. All in all it's quite a nice hotel, I would stay here again if I come to Taipei for short stays (2-3 nights), though not with my parents until they improve their accessibility.

Hotel allowed for early drop off of luggage so we could explore the city before check-in, which was super helpful. The onset is closed for renovation, which was a little disappointing, but with our limited time at the hotel, not a dealbreaker. Mini fridge snacks were complimentary and delicious!! Love the decor, and would totally stay here again!
