I stayed here for one day before going to Cuenca and it was much better than expected. The most modern hotel I stayed in during my trip to South America. The Hilton Colón needs a renovation. They haven't done anything in 10 years, and improvements are already needed. The safe gave me problems, and I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast, as the raspberries had mold. Being able to make fresh fruit and vegetable juice is great. The power went out three times in one night, and the generator took a couple of minutes to start up. The airport shuttle works very well.

The hotel is located close to the airport and bus station. Taxi drivers know it well. A nighttime ride costs $10. The rooms are decorated in a traditional Ecuadorian style. The rooms are clean and cozy. There is air conditioning. The shower has hot water and necessary toiletries. We want to say a big thank you to Christian, who warmly welcomed us after midnight, helped with our luggage, and in the morning he fed us a delicious breakfast.
