"After the Fawlty Towers start, where we were escorted to our 3 bdrm apartment (wow!) and then told it was a mistake, moved to a room billowing cigarette smoke as we approached, and finally, taken downstairs, then up again to a smaller flat with a bit of a dank smell, we weren’t impressed. But the room & balcony were lovely, though the shower needed some maintenance. The next door cafes all serve food until late and the room has a fully-equipped kitchen. We were delighted to have tvs in the bdrm & the living area. Staff were very helpful and we enjoyed our one night here,"

"It is not very convenient to take a taxi for half an hour from the attraction. I feel like there is nothing to eat around. But relatively safe, it is said to be a wealthy area. The facilities are nice, but a bit old Overall is very good, let us check in one hour early If you need to buy medicine, they will take the initiative to help run errands to buy, don't know if you want to tip"

"The room was so nice, cozy and clean. The view is spectacular. The room service is perfect. Everything was just very nuce. The only negative thing for me was the street noise. Would highly recommend if they can make sound proof windows. I was in the 11th floor and still I can hear every single sound in the street. Other than that , it’s perfect"

"This hotel is perfect for Chinese travelers... There's a Chinese restaurant on the second floor and a self-service laundry room on the third floor. The facilities are very new, and it has hot water, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. The staff are incredibly warm and friendly; as soon as you enter, it feels like you're back home. The only minor drawback is that the hot water tank-style heater doesn't allow two people to shower consecutively – you need to wait a while between showers (but this is common in Egypt). It would be even better if there was a mini-fridge in the room, haha. Overall, we are very satisfied."

"This older Hilton hotel is, on the whole, pretty standard—nothing particularly amazing, but no major downsides either. The exterior looks a bit dated, but the interior is maintained quite cleanly and tidily. The room size is moderate, the bed is comfortable, and all the basic amenities are available, including air conditioning, hot water, and free Wi-Fi. The staff are polite, attentive, and quite proactive in their service. Breakfast is decent, with average taste and no standout features. The hotel's location is fairly convenient, with good transport links nearby, and you can walk to some restaurants and convenience stores. Overall, for a short business trip or a stopover, this hotel can meet basic needs, but it's not suitable for guests looking for a high-quality or unique experience. Its biggest advantages are the nice view, quiet atmosphere, and reasonable value for money, making it a good fit for travelers with modest accommodation requirements."

Hotel facilities are old, but the service attitude is very good. Breakfast is basically Western food cold food, but a few breads are quite delicious. "Traveling with my parents, 3 adults in total, and the two 1.5-meter beds were enough. We were given a room on the 3rd floor with a partial view of the Nile, although I don't think we booked a river view room. The room was spacious enough, with a sofa and plenty of space. Facilities: Excellent, though showing a bit of age, and the bathroom fixtures are old. Cleanliness: Excellent Environment: Excellent Service: Excellent Would choose again."

"We stayed for 4 nights. The view from the hotel and all the staff were excellent. We arrived around 8 AM and were able to check in immediately and escorted to our room. This was a great help as we had a long flight and could rest right away. The Grand Egyptian Museum was about a 15-minute walk. The location is also great, as the entrance to the pyramids (visitor center) was a quick Uber ride away. The jacuzzi in our room was quite luxurious, and we used it daily while admiring the pyramids. For Japanese travelers, being able to relax and wash off the desert dust was a huge bonus. Also, on the morning of our day trip to Luxor, when we left the hotel around 5 AM, they kindly provided us with breakfast to go. There's a convenience store at a nearby gas station that had not only drinks but also snacks, which was very convenient. The elevator was a bit nerve-wracking until we got used to it, but it was fine after that. Thank you so much for everything. This is a highly recommended hotel."

"Right by the Nile, with great views of the river from the room. It feels very secure, with two checkpoints to enter and exit, and you even need to swipe your card after getting off the elevator to go to your room. Breakfast was good, a typical 'Western' breakfast, which makes sense as most guests are European. The staff are also very friendly. The room was clean, not huge, but very well-appointed."

BBensonHKTitle: Unparalleled Luxury and Impeccable Service at St. Regis Cairo Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) Review: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the St. Regis Cairo during my visit to this magnificent city, and I must say that it was an experience beyond compare. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the grandeur and elegance of the hotel, and every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations. The St. Regis Cairo is a true testament to luxury and sophistication. The moment I stepped into the opulent lobby, I was greeted by a stunning display of modern design blended seamlessly with elements of Egyptian heritage. The attention to detail was impeccable, with intricate artwork, exquisite furnishings, and a magnificent chandelier that took my breath away. My room at the St. Regis Cairo was a sanctuary of comfort and elegance. The spacious layout, plush bedding, and tasteful decor created a tranquil ambiance that made me feel instantly relaxed. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of the Nile River, and I found myself spending hours simply gazing at the mesmerizing scene before me. The service at the St. Regis Cairo was truly exceptional. The staff members were attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was taken care of. From the warm welcome at check-in to the prompt room service and personalized recommendations for local attractions, their dedication to providing a flawless experience was evident throughout. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at the hotel's exquisite restaurants. The culinary offerings were nothing short of extraordinary, with a diverse range of cuisines prepared by world-class chefs. Whether indulging in a sumptuous breakfast buffet, savoring a gourmet dinner, or enjoying a cocktail at the rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city, each dining experience was a culinary delight. The St. Regis Cairo also boasts an array of impressive amenities. The spa and wellness facilities offered a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation, with a variety of treatments and therapies to choose from. The state-of-the-art fitness center allowed me to maintain my workout routine, and the outdoor pool provided a serene escape to unwind and soak up the sun. The hotel's location was ideal for exploring the vibrant city of Cairo. Situated along the banks of the Nile River, it offered convenient access to iconic landmarks such as the Pyramids of Giza, the Egyptian Museum, and bustling markets. The concierge was always available to provide assistance and arrange transportation, ensuring that my sightseeing adventures were seamless and enjoyable. In conclusion, my stay at the St. Regis Cairo was an unforgettable experience of luxury, comfort, and impeccable service. From the stunning aesthetics to the outstanding staff and world-class amenities, every aspect of the hotel exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend the St. Regis Cairo to anyone seeking a truly exceptional stay in this remarkable city, and I eagerly look forward to returning to this haven of indulgence in the future.

GGuest UserThe Cairo Marriott Hotel has an old-money vibe and an excellent location in Zamalek's embassy district – it's quiet, relatively clean, and feels quite safe. There are plenty of cafes nearby, and all the gift shops and local specialty brands you could want, making shopping very convenient. Compared to the hotels I stayed at on the East Bank when I first arrived in Egypt, this one is much more convenient and comfortable. There's a subway station about a 10-minute walk away, which is great for getting to attractions like Khan el-Khalili – just three stops and less than ten minutes, much better than the hassle of a taxi. The room decor is an older European/American style, not very modern, but very clean. However, the Nile view from the balcony isn't as good as from hotels on the East Bank. I recommend ******* breakfast with your room, otherwise, it's $30 per person and not particularly lavish. The service was generally good, but there were some glitches. When I checked in, the key card didn't work, so I had to carry my luggage a long way only to find I couldn't open the door. I had to go back to the front desk to get it sorted, and they didn't offer any apology – classic Egyptian 'relaxed' attitude. Overall, compared to East Bank hotels, if I were to come back, I'd still choose Zamalek; it's just so much more convenient! Also, many people going to Marsa Matruh will visit Siwa. However, it's important to note that while Siwa is widely rumored to have a simple and honest local culture, there can be issues. I booked one night at Soléi old town, a hotel in the center of Siwa, through a certain platform. However, upon arrival, I was taken to another homestay-like place far from the hotel, with no hotel signage and terrible conditions. It felt like I was being scammed and was completely unsafe. The owner was incredibly despicable, knowing that the platform's ******* policy meant no refunds. He outright denied everything, wasting a lot of my time and disrupting my itinerary. Everyone should be vigilant when traveling, try to choose large platforms with refund policies and reputable hotels to avoid impacting your travel experience.

GGuest UserThe room had an access to the pool directly which is nice. Only bad thing was people smoke all over the hotel making it so unpleasant. Everywhere in the world, people are not allowed to smoke inside hotels. So clearly not for people who have wheezing or asthma. Management should seriously look into this. Other than that all staff were very nice. Ashraqqat and also bfast staff are all very nice. Excellent bfast.

RRaypanDon't go in winter if there's no heating; it was 10 degrees outside and 15 degrees inside. During my two-day stay, the first day the warm water was around 40 degrees. On the second day, after I kept urging them, they finally fixed it to just warm enough, but still not hot water. The decor looks like it's 15 years old. I came here because it said it opened in 2019. The service was indeed good, so I can't give a bad review for that. However, I spent two and a half hours over two days waiting for repairs and service. In summary, it's a five-star hotel with three-and-a-half-star facilities.

GGuest UserWhat an absolutely wonderful experience I had staying at this apartment! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The apartment was exceptionally clean, beautifully organized, and thoughtfully prepared. The decoration deserves a special mention - it is elegant, tasteful, and full of character. You can really feel that a lot of attention has been given to every little detail, creating an atmosphere that is both stylish and incredibly comfortable. The residence is located in Zamalek, one of the most beautiful and charming areas of Cairo, and the location honestly could not have been better. The neighborhood has a very special atmosphere: it feels safe, comfortable, lively, and relaxing at the same time. The streets are always animated, with cafés, restaurants, shops, and beautiful corners to discover. There is something interesting everywhere you look, and it truly feels as though every street and every corner has its own story to tell. I had the pleasure of staying here for five nights, and I can confidently say that it became one of the highlights of my entire trip to Cairo. One of my favorite things about the apartment was the beautiful view of the Nile from the terrace. Sitting there and enjoying the view was such a memorable experience, especially after spending the day exploring the city. It gives the apartment a peaceful and almost magical atmosphere that is difficult to describe until you experience it yourself. The location is also extremely convenient. Almost everything you could possibly need is just a minute or a few minutes away, whether you are looking for restaurants, cafés, shops, transportation, or simply a nice place to walk around and enjoy the neighborhood. Staying here made exploring Cairo much easier and more enjoyable. However, what made this experience truly exceptional was not only the apartment or the location, but also the amazing people working at the residence. I have rarely experienced such genuine hospitality. Every member of the team was incredibly kind, welcoming, professional, and helpful. They genuinely pay attention to the smallest details and do everything they can to make sure that your stay is comfortable and pleasant. A special mention goes to Mazen, whose name I remember, but I would also like to thank the entire team because every single person I interacted with was wonderful. They were always available whenever I needed something, always greeted me with kindness, and sometimes went far beyond what I would normally expect. Their warmth and willingness to help made me feel genuinely welcome rather than simply being another guest. Overall, my five nights here were an unforgettable experience. Between the beautiful and spotless apartment, the tasteful decoration, the incredible Nile view, the perfect location in Zamalek, and most importantly, the outstanding hospitality of the entire team, I honestly could not have asked for a better stay. I would highly recommend this residence to anyone visiting Cairo and looking for a place that combines comfort, elegance, an excellent location, beautiful views, and exceptional hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay in Cairo so special and memorable. I arrived as a guest, but I left with wonderful memories that I will carry with me for a very long time.

GGuest UserI liked the Hotel is in Proximity to the Airport. The Hotel offered us Meet & Greet service at the Airport to ensure our immigration & our transfer was smooth. Hotel has a very friendly staff. The checkin process was somewhat lengthy. However, we enjoyed staying there. Breakfast was great and served many options. Room was spacious and was overlooking the Pool. Hotel is currently going through expansion/ renovation. But we dis not feel any disturbances. I highly recommend staying here.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is very close to Cairo Airport, about a 5-minute drive. I emailed them in advance to book an airport pick-up. After landing, I called the front desk, and a hotel shuttle bus was waiting right outside the terminal. The next day, I took a taxi to the pyramids, which cost around 250 RMB. It's a good choice for travelers on a layover.

AAnonymous UserIn general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights. Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building. * Location & Transportation Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum. And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price. In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones. Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it. * Building and room conditions Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room. It is quite convenient a washstand in each room. However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler. It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel. * Cleanness & Safety Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this. * Services There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water. Wifi is too weak to use the internet. Other services like laundry are satisfied. * Others During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally. In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better. And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable. Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.
