I stayed when visiting for a concert so I checked in, dumped my bags and left. The hotel had great décor and was very central. The room itself was a very nice. Great shower. Our twin beds were close enough that we were pretty much in a double.

This is a very well located hotel, and the parking is close by. Parking at additional charge but the hotel has negotiated preferential rates. The breakfast was excellent- quality and variety. The staff were helpful. The room was clean. I would stay there again.

Amazing view of the city! Requested for a high floor and thankfully was given one, front reception was friendly and informative. Location was great! Just few minutes away from the railway station and in the middle of many foods and cafes

Basic hotel but in an ideal location short walk to Sauchihall Street, great restaurants close by. Antipasti if you like Italian. Sichuan house, brilliant Chinese restaurant.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful. Free WiFi also a free drink from the bar. We didn't have breakfast we went out to eat but there is breakfast for an extra £12 per day if you prefer.
Found in an Edwardian building formerly home to the Anchor Line Shipping Company’s headquarters, this gorgeous city centre aparthotel draws on the opulence of a 1920s ocean liner. With original 1906 features kept intact, you’ll find glazed tiles, terrazzo flooring, timber wall-panelling, stunning fireplaces and even the original safes. The original façade details of nautical emblems, seaweed and shell details on this Art Deco building are not to be missed. With a 24-hour reception, concierge and on-site breakfast at the Anchor Line restaurant on the ground floor, you’re on the doorstep of George Square and couldn’t be better placed to explore Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

Cute boutique hotel in a prime spot near Buchanan St and with some rooms overlooking George Square. We stayed in a studio with a balcony on the 7th floor, which had a great view, but was a little unhandy when the only elevator went out of service 3 of the 5 days during our stay. The room was spacious in terms of hotel rooms in the city centre, and well equipped with everything we might need in the kitchenette, plenty of storage space, good quality linens and towels, upscale toiletries, and a roomy bathroom with a nicely tiled shower. The staff were all very helpful, and did a good job of communicating with us when my husband's golf bag we had shipped over from the US preceded our arrival by a few days; they kept it in reception until we got there. Parking is a good distance away, and there is no good place to load/unload, though if you follow the instructions from Reception, you can get a discounted daily rate at the parking garage they recommend. The shuttle bus from the airport, subway, and, train station are within a few blocks, so you definitely don't need a car to get places within (and to a great extent without) the city.
Honestly we loved this hotel, found it a good value for the price, and will definitely consider staying here again on a return visit to Glasgow.

Great location, super close to city centre and very convenient. Staff members are always helpful and super friendly. On my final night there was a storm in Scotland and staff was super helpful with trying to see if they can book me for one extra night just in case if trains don’t run the next day :) really happy with the service. Breakfast has good selection!
Room is okay, the AC seemed a bit old and broken but still works, temperature in the room is fine!

The room was very clean, spacious and bright. The staff was very friendly. I ordered breakfast separately and it was also very good, a classic English breakfast. The location is also good and transportation is very convenient.

Perfect Stay for GraduationI stayed here for a week for my Master's graduation, and it was a perfect choice. The hotel is incredibly convenient, with great access to everywhere I needed to go. The room was very clean and comfortable, offering super high value for the price. Most importantly, every single staff member was exceptionally kind and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel was lovely, I was a bit put off by the reception staff who spoke to me via computer screens. They never looked at me when asking questions I personally feel this is rude. However they were able to store bags for us until we could check in. The pool is lovely not overly big and there was lessons going on but for a quick dip it’s fine. The hot tub is tiny even with 3 adults in it we were touching knees so that felt a-bit awkward sharing with strangers. Gym was fantastic. Was very impressed
Room was lovely very spacious we had a twin room first time I slept in a single bed since a child so not overly comfortable. Bathroom clean and massive bath which was great, our room did not have a window that could be opened but a fan was placed in our room, it didn’t work but after notifying cleaning staff they quickly replaced it.
Breakfast was good just what you would expect. From a buffet breakfast and we were seated very quickly both mornings. There was water machines on our floor and reception which we used regularly and we appreciated that touch.
Over all it was a good and I would stay again. The red and yellow hop on hope off bus stop is just around the corner also so handy if wanting to sightsee.

Great
KKevinNMooreLovely experience from start to finish, the oversized coffee mugs was a great touch, thank you for that ☺️ and I got to see possibly the most unique sight just round the corner, pictured, as for the lobby and the hotel, a mix of modern, art deco and comfy seating downstairs.
Be warned the bed was HUGE!!! I could fit 3 full size pillows across, so no danger of falling out for me ☺️
I will be going back 👍
GGuest UserThe room offers a view of a giant mural. Downstairs, there's an outdoor restaurant, but the soundproofing is good, so it's not noisy at all. It's very close to the subway station and supermarket, and only a 5-6 minute walk to the train station. The room comes with a microwave and a fridge, and there's plenty of hot water. The air circulation system is also adequate.
GGuest UserOverall, the experience exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, and all the facilities were brand new. Housekeeping cleaned daily, and there's a gym and a bar downstairs – the environment is simply fantastic.
However, there were two minor issues. First, I requested ”no corner room” in my booking notes, but the front desk still assigned me an end room on the fourth floor. While this was a bit uncomfortable, I did notice during booking that special requests require direct communication with the hotel, and I decided not to bother, so I can accept this.
The second small issue was with the facilities. The room had a window, but it couldn't be opened. I suspect this might only be the case for end rooms, and other rooms might be normal. The booking interface stated ”inquire with the hotel about windows,” and again, I didn't follow up, so I accept this minor inconvenience. It would be even better if these two aspects could be improved.
Overall, my stay was quite good. Of course, the final experience varies from person to person, so this is just for reference.
VvicchenggWe enjoyed our stay at the Maldron and felt it was great value overall. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance but also slightly away from the main high street so it was nice and peaceful at night. There were also loads of excellent restaurants and coffee shops within a few hundred meters of the hotel, offering loads of cuisine choices. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived, I realised I had accidentally booked one of our rooms as a double room when we needed a twin. After just a quick call to reception the staff found us a twin room within minutes, and were even mindful of keeping our families on the same floor for convenience which we hugely appreciated. The rooms themselves were very clean, modern and spacious enough for the two of us and our suitcases. The sound proofing was pretty decent too, and there was minimal noise from the corridor/outside apart from a few doors banging in the morning as guests left. Other highlights include: a very good shower where you can switch between a rainfall + handheld head, plugs on both sides of the bed (an essential these days!) and a comfortable bed. The TV system is a little dated in my opinion, however it does allow casting which was a bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for a mid-low budget stay.
RRRosssWe stayed at Sandman for its proximity to Hydro for a concert. In that regard the location was good, an easy 20 minute walk. Glasgow is super hilly so be aware if you’re walking anywhere. The hotel was very good, excellent breakfast, superb nice staff. Clean rooms, fit my family of 4 well enough!
GGuest UserThe air conditioning was a bit tricky; it kept blowing cold air at first. It took a while following the instructions to finally get it to blow hot air. I guess most three-star hotels are similar. There were hairs on the sheets, and the room was small because it had no window. However, the location is excellent, very close to the train station, bus stop, and city center. It's fine for a night or two.
AAnonymous UserI liked the room which was very spacious, clean and the bed comfortable.
The staff were nice and helpful.
The hotel is very well located.
I think the breakfast needs improvement but this is really the only small concern
BBee HoonWe stayed during Christmas season and there was a Xmas market next door. The hotel is spacious and all the necessary facilities, including kitchen and washing machine are provided.
GGuest UserHave stayed at this place a few times now over many years. Great location, staff friendly. However comparing it to our other visits to (The Ponds) Leonardo we had a few niggles. Most of these concerned the bathroom. Firstly, when turning tap towards cold, the water came out like an explosion. We can only assume that it was some sort of air lock. The bathroom was very tired looking. The ceiling looked awful, like mould and the seal around the bath needed redoing. Lots of black mould, due to no ventilation. We knew beforehand there was no air-con, however the temperature was unbelievably hot. One of the lifts was out of order for all of our stay. The other lift was incredibly slow when called.
GGuest UserMuch more basic than expected. Bed was made up of two singles which barely stayed together through the night. Tea and coffee facilities were poor as were the toiletries. Not worth the price at all. Breakfast at £14 per head was totally overpriced. Food was luke warm and very bland. Will not be back.
