"The rooftop pool and the view from the 12th-floor rooms were excellent!
The room size, however, was average, and the fact that the toilet in a double room couldn't be hermetically sealed is a no-go for me. Huge, very good TV!
Breakfast was okay.
The hotel's location isn't ideal for the city center, being a 25-minute walk away with no nearby public transport. However, there are discounts on Uber rides."
"The room was bright and airy with simple, practical furnishings. The bathroom was also quite spacious. It had a large balcony, but the door was locked. Given that a main road runs just below, there's probably a good reason for that.
Breakfast and dinner were included. Dinner was mediocre, not much variety, and drinks had to be ordered separately. However, there was one soup, a rich cauliflower soup, which was a local specialty.
Breakfast was excellent and very plentiful."
"I stayed on Sat~Sun, and there was a public parking lot diagonally across, so parking was free.
(Zagreb public parking lot: Saturday 15:00 ~ Sunday free)
The accommodation was much bigger than I thought. The facilities were also good.
The breakfast place was small, so it would be good to eat when there were no people.
Breakfast was delicious."
"It's a bit far from the center but the hotel is in good condition
You need to adjust your check-in time by phone or email in advance (*******************************************
I recommend a steamed beer restaurant nearby ~"
"The overall experience of the hotel is particularly good, the location is very convenient, and the travel and eating are very close. The room was clean and tidy, the hygiene was in place, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the sleep was very stable. The front desk service was warm and thoughtful, the check-in and check-out efficiency was very high, and the staff was gentle and polite. The toiletries are complete, the hot water is sufficient, the sound insulation effect is also good, quiet and not noisy. Very good value for money, full experience of staying, will choose this next time!"
"Hotel Madison in Zagreb is a great place! The hotel is very clean, and the staff is very kind, thank you Igor, very welcoming, and very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay in Zagreb.
I highly recommend"
"The hotel is conveniently located directly opposite the bus station, which is perfect for travelers needing to transfer, like us who did a day trip to Plitvice Lakes – it was very accommodating for our early departures and late returns.
The room itself was quite spacious, but there wasn't much surface area to place belongings, especially in the bathroom where there was almost nowhere to put anything, which felt like a waste of space.
General cleanliness was acceptable, but the details were lacking. I wiped down the heated towel rail and found a significant amount of black grime. The shower area only had a half-screen without a door, so the shower water completely soaked the bathmat, which was a bit unpleasant.
There aren't many amenities in the immediate vicinity, just a few pizza places and bakeries. The first one past the bus station, along the street, had relatively good food."
"The room is quite big, the transportation is convenient, there is DM downstairs, close to the city center, the scenery is beautiful, it is worth everyone to go, Sacramento is a romantic city, although there is no seaside hustle and bustle."
"Breakfast included. Coffee provided on request, food choices are more than enough for adult or kids.
Have local burger shops just 5 minis walk even at late night. 10 mins walk from the public transport."
"Good value for money
However, the bed structure is a bit disappointing
The shower door ring was broken
All the staff are really friendly
Breakfast was delicious
Overall, good value for money hostel"

Amazing
GGuest UserThis was a 5-star stay for me. I spent 2 nights. Oliver was friendly and very responsive. The room was perfect. Mini fridge, hot water kettle, and instant coffee/tea was provided, as well as 2 bottles of water.
The place was very clean and comfortable. The location is just about a 5 minute walk to the Zagreb Kolodvor (bus station) and about a 30-minute walk to old town. It's located on a quiet street with few cars driving by.
Free wifi. Grocery store, Konzum, was a couple of blocks away.
I would definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserPerfect!!! Absolutely everything – from its location not far from the bus station, to the optimal level of comfort, coziness, and amenities, simply incredible breakfasts, and of course, the excellent work and friendliness of the staff! Even its slight distance from the center of Zagreb is practically unnoticeable – a 20-minute walk lets you get to know the city better. Everything positive said in reviews about this hotel truly corresponds to reality. Well done, keep it up!
GGuest UserNice and clean hotel with excellent service. Front desk was very helpful and recommended good eating places and helped take care of the car. Parking was very convenient just out in front of the hotel.
GGuest UserThe Esplanade Hotel scores big on location — it's perfectly situated and hard to beat for exploring the area on foot. The beds were genuinely comfortable and made for a restful night's sleep.
That said, the rest of the interior is showing its age. The furniture and furnishings are visibly worn and could use replacing. It doesn't ruin the stay, but it is noticeable and brings the overall experience down a notch.
Overall a solid choice if location and sleep quality are your priorities — just be aware that the room itself has seen better days.
GGuest UserThe hotel is right in the city center, just a 10-minute walk from the University of Zagreb. You simply turn left out of the hotel entrance and walk straight. There are many historic buildings nearby, making it a great area for a stroll. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, but the room size is decent, with enough space left after opening two 28-inch suitcases.
AAnonymous UserSuperb location, great hotel with the classic and traditional vibes. Good breakfast. Staff at check in seemed a little bit unfriendly.
Unfortunately, I spotted a pair of dirty black socks lying behind the curtain in the room upon check in.
NNina ThailandThe young lady receptionist was quite rude in a way she was trying to say that the luggage room has limited space. She kept saying that repeatedly with hard tonal voice. I think she should be trained how to give a sincere service to all guests, without race discrimination. Otherwise, the rest of staff team are nice and helpful. Room is nice, clean, and modern. There’s a supermarket (Lidle) nearby.
VVolcanoTRTXFrom “A to Z”, this hotel is simply incredible: the kindness of the front desk staff, the comfort of the room, the cleanliness of the property, the deliciousness of the breakfast, the exemplary customer service mindset, etc. I especially thank Ms. Marina to cut my watermelon and serve it on a plate and the 4th floor cleaning lady to help me with my luggages. 110% RECOMMENDED!!
AAnonymous UserStayed at City Walk Hostel in Zagreb. It’s right in the heart of the city, steps from the main square.
Pros: Unbeatable central location, super affordable, and you can walk everywhere.
Cons: Being so central means street noise at night, and facilities are pretty basic. Great for a quick, budget stay!
GGuest UserThe room was spacious and the receptionist very friendly.
The bath was very moldy, the beds were quite small and the ac couldn’t be controlled.
For a stay of one night its ok and it was the cheapest option for longer stays I would not recommend it.
