Hotel was clean and beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Ms. Kusum was very kind and professional and even changed the room according to our need. Breakfast was with good spread as usual for JW standards. Only setback, too many guests. Crowded during breakfast and lobbies were filled with people due to weddings and events. Otherwise service, amenities and pool areas were all lovely. Satisfied, No regrets

I stayed at this hotel with my friends and booked a separate room for myself. The hotel kindly arranged a room for me on the sixth floor with an amazing view of the city of Kolkata. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and polite, especially the gentleman with glasses at the check-in counter, who always fulfilled my requests and addressed any complaints promptly. They even allowed us a late check-out because our flight was delayed, which I truly appreciated. My room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The amenities provided were of high quality. The housekeeping staff were polite and clearly took pride in their work. The security staff at the main entrance were also very courteous and always ready to help — whether it was providing small change for delivery drivers or Uber payments. Special thanks to Raghunath, one of the security team, who helped us load over 60 kilograms of luggage into our Uber when we were heading to the airport. Overall, my experience was exceptional. The kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness of the staff truly stood out. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and colleagues visiting Kolkata.

Elegant and luxurious hotel located in a beautifully renovated palace of royal family of Kolkata. Our room was very spacious, beautifully furnished with old, wooden furniture. The huge bathroom and all floors are made of marble. The hotel is located in multiple buildings of the palace complex. Delicious breakfast can be eaten outside in shaded patio or inside in air conditioned restaurant. Every evening there is a live show of folk dance performers. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.

*Review: One-Night Stay at Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata* I recently stayed for one night at the Kenilworth Hotel in Kolkata and would rate my overall experience as a 6 out of 10. Being close to central Kolkata, it’s easy to access various parts of the city, whether for business or leisure. The lack of flexibility and limited appeal of the dinner options certainly took away from an otherwise comfortable stay. It might not be a dealbreaker for everyone, but for those who enjoy exploring a hotel’s culinary offerings, this can be a sore point. The check-in and check-out processes were efficient, and the staff at the front desk were courteous and helpful. There was a general air of professionalism throughout the hotel staff, which contributed positively to the experience. Good location for tourist spots but quite noisy if you don't like the constant noise of beeping horns from the nearby road (not sure if it is even possible to escape this in India). It did get better between say 10.30pm and 8am). The train (immediately outside the hotel entrance) screeches by but not frequently, boat engines can be heard in the distance but it's on a river 😅. It was a bit of a party boat on some nights (loud and late disco noise if there is an event). The noise stopped at around 9pm one night but went on much later on another night; if your room is close to the bar it may be an issue was wasn't too bad for me as i use ear plugs. The most irritating noise, believe it or not, is people shouting or having loud conversations in the corridors. The room is 3* and there is no safe for your passport, cash, cards etc. The pillows, bed covers and floors were't cleaned particularly well. I had to help myself to consumables from the corridor as they weren't topped up by cleaners. Anyway, a very brief stay could be a good experience, one night maybe.I am pleased to have had the experience and despite the shortfalls would probably recommend it as a one off unique experience, for one or two nights. The breakfast was very good with lovely river views and a chill atmosphere.

Very friendly staff and good location. Although 3 stars is a bit high. It is rather 2,5 stars. Breakfast was a good start of the day, continental and Indian. Room was small and old, ac noisy. But who cares; you don’t go to Kolkata to stay in your room. On the roof was a terrace where you can eat and drink. All in all great stay. Will definitely come back next time

Located at a very busy area, where the bustling streets are lined with clothing vendors. Was upgraded to a huge 2 room suite. However, it was next to the meeting rooms where there were a dozen seated students awaiting their interviews for all the 4 days I was there. Getting to my room meant having to walk past a row of seated students.  Although the room was clean, the shower cubicle was not. The edges were filled with black mold.  The staff were helpful and friendly.  Overall, I did enjoy my stay.

It was a pleasant and beautiful experience with you, the staff was awesome and cooperative. The service of food and house-keeping was marvelous. It's a memorable stay with you and i hope i will enjoy the same in future

The staff forgets sometimes for what they have asked the client to hold on. Happened with me, whereas I was asked to wait during check-in and later the same person asked me why I was waiting.

Hotel is nearby birla school, mint o park. Park street and Arselan biryani ( park circus) is walkable distance. Theater road join birla platarium. Rate is quite high on the basis of service. Breakfast is not good. Charging for drinking water. Restaurant was full of hukka lover in the evening. Smoke is everywhere in restaurant.
