"The location was good, next to gofukumachi station, but still requires a little bit of transfer if taking the bus. The hotel was not bad, large bed. However I must mention that there is a bad smell coming from the shower. This seems to correspond to previous complaints by other guests. The breakfast was highly competitive and has almost no space for the guests. This said, the breakfast was high quality."

"My stay at the Garden Hotel Fukuoka Nakasu was fantastic! The location is superb, with beautiful riverside views. It's within walking distance to the Nakasu Yatai food stalls and Tenjin shopping district, making it super convenient for getting around and finding food. The room was clean and tidy, well-equipped and comfortable. The host was responsive and friendly, and the check-in process was smooth. It's a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, offering a cozy river view space in lively Nakasu. Great value for money, I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Fukuoka. Highly recommended!"

"It is super convenient hotel as its around 5 -7 mins walk from Mina tenjin (where Aeon supermarket is). The room size is a tad small. If you are having large suitcase it is a challenge. Cabin bag is still ok.. Right next door is family mart. Behind is Shin Shin ramen. Full Full bakery is also a block away. Breakfast is simple but yet it serves the local delicacies. Great stay nevertheless as its close to the tenjin train station which is 5 mins walk."

"Decent hotel. The AC didn't seem to work as effectively as I would have liked during the 30 degree weather, and there was no option to set a specific temperature. The male staff on the first day didn't welcome me but the staff on the other days was friendly. Pillows weren't great, but bed was nice. Location is good, but I didn't realize it was on the edge of a district that at night is mainly just girls bar type places, probably next time in Fukuoka I will try to stay closer to more normal nightlife."

"First off, I booked this room for a 4-night stay (non-smoking). There's no housekeeping, so you'll be using the same bed sheets for all four nights. The bathroom is still tiny, so only one person can be in there at a time. The room only has one vanity chair and a small trash can (since there's no housekeeping, they don't even provide extra trash bags). So, don't bring any garbage back to the room because the trash can is super small! After checking in, you'll have to handle everything yourself, so try not to make too much of a mess! The room is only 12 square meters. You can store your luggage in the narrow hallway, but you have to close your suitcase after opening it so you can get to the bathroom or out the door! Also, you won't get daily bottled water, tea bags, or coffee packets because there's no housekeeping. You have to ask the front desk receptionists for them every day, which is quite a hassle! The ground floor lobby has some very powerful audio equipment, so if you're on a floor below the tenth, you might experience noise affecting your sleep quality!! Also, for luggage storage in the lobby (self-service), you'll need a transportation card (the one I bought in Tokyo worked for trains in Fukuoka, so it also worked for locking up my luggage at the hotel by tapping it!). The good thing about this hotel is that there's a convenience store both to the left and right when you step out. Also, it's very convenient to walk to two subway stations – about a 10-minute walk to Tenjin and a 7-minute walk to the other station. If it rains, the roads can flood easily, so it might take 15 to 20 minutes. The picture shows how it looked when I left in the morning and came back at night. When I asked the customer service representative, he said no one would clean the room for me. There's no phone in the room, so if you need a service attendant, you have to go downstairs to find one yourself, which is quite inconvenient. I'll be traveling to Fukuoka again this November, but I definitely won't be rebooking this hotel. The staff's service attitude is terrible; basically, no matter what you ask, the staff seems unwilling to help you. I checked out on June 29th, 2026, after checking in on June 25th!!"

"Overall, it's a decent hotel, though the bathroom is a bit small. The ground floor is spacious and bright, and there's a rock garden water feature outside the entrance. Plus, there's a free shuttle bus to Hakata Station every day."

"Small but perfectly formed, this hotel has everything you need, including pajamas in the room and a capsule coffee machine! It's right above Exit 3 of Akasaka Station, which is super convenient for shopping in Tenjin. Plus, there's a famous motsunabe (offal hotpot) restaurant right in front. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Fukuoka!"

"This is an older hotel chain, and I chose it this time because the first hotel I stayed at in Japan over a decade ago was a Nikko. I haven't picked it in a long time, so I wanted to try it again, purely for nostalgic reasons. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation, and the service remains good. However, during this stay, they were undergoing exterior renovations, which meant I couldn't open the curtains, making the room feel a bit claustrophobic. The hotel didn't mention this special circumstance on the booking platform, nor did they inform me during check-in. They also didn't offer to move me to a room not affected by the renovations or provide any other form of compensation. The complete lack of communication and options is truly unacceptable. Image 2 shows the notice about the exterior renovations placed in the room; Image 1 shows the curtains drawn during my daytime check-in."

Many hotels come with coin laundry machine but for business travelers, this chargeable laundry service is crucial. Also it offers additional option for breakfast choice to their associated hotel within walking distance. Excellent value for those who stay 2 days and above!"
