Amazing
YYuMing WuLocation: About a 10-minute walk from Aomori Station, right on the main street, so it's very easy to find. The decor isn't brand new, but it's very well-maintained. Service: The front desk and restaurant staff were all very warm and friendly. My experience from check-in to check-out was quite good. This hotel brand offers complimentary late-night ramen, popsicles after a hot spring bath, and Yakult in the morning. This Aomori branch also had self-serve apple juice and coffee next to the front desk, which was a nice touch. Facilities: My room was windowless, which felt a bit overpriced for the off-peak season. However, their rooftop onsen (hot spring) is excellent. The onsen floor has Nebuta festival decorations, and the indoor and outdoor areas combined are quite spacious. There's also a sauna.

Llalapan1985It's been half a month since I returned from Aomori, and I'm just now getting around to writing this hotel review. This is my second time choosing a 'Daiwa' brand hotel; my previous experience at the Kyoto Station location was so-so, but the Aomori branch was generally quite good. Here are my specific thoughts: **I. Pros** 1. **Convenient Location:** The hotel is situated in the central area near JR Aomori Station. From the station's East Exit, walk straight along the main road where Toyoko Inn is located for about 6-7 minutes, and you'll reach it. Nearby attractions such as the Tourist Museum (the PAM PAM apple pie inside is a bit sweet but has a very crispy crust), Nebuta House, A-Factory, and Hirota Shrine are all within walking distance. 2. **Abundant Dining Options Nearby:** There are many restaurants along the way to the hotel, including Aomori Shokudo, which often has a queue. I tried the scallops when they opened in the afternoon, and they were fresh and delicious. The Aomori Seafood Market, about an 8-minute walk from the hotel, is also highly recommended. Go early in the morning to experience the locals' 'seafood freedom'. 3. **Smooth Check-in Experience:** The hotel lobby is on the second floor, and there's a Lawson convenience store downstairs. Guests can directly access the lobby through the store using their room card. I checked in around noon; although there were self-check-in machines, a staff member proactively assisted with manual check-in. They were enthusiastic and accommodating, fulfilling my request for a higher floor. Disposable toiletries, including facial cleanser, toner, lotion, toothbrush sets, and tea bags, were available for self-service next to the front desk. The toner had a nice texture. 4. **Well-equipped Guest Room:** My room was on the 14th (top) floor. Although small, it was fully functional with an expansive window view. The bathroom was spacious with a wet/dry separation and no steps between it and the bedroom, preventing tripping hazards. The bath amenities felt good, but the conditioner had a slight urea-like scent. 5. **Thorough Cleaning and Service:** I stayed for three consecutive nights. Each day, after I hung out the 'Please clean my room' sign, I returned to a clean and tidy room. The room provided two pillows of different heights, and the bedding had no noticeable disinfectant smell. A complimentary bottle of drinking water was provided daily, a thoughtful touch. 6. **Corridor Signage:** There was a sign in the corridor indicating that guests could activate TV channels. **II. Areas for Improvement** 1. **Small Room Size:** My 28-inch suitcase couldn't be fully opened on the luggage rack without blocking the walkway. 2. **Lack of Hanging Space in Bathroom:** After the wet/dry separation, there was no place to hang clothes. Washed clothes at night had to be hung on the indoor drying rack, and water drops could easily fall onto the carpet. 3. **Central Air Conditioning Limitations:** In April, the central air conditioning only offered heating mode, with no option for cooling. This was a minor inconvenience for guests who wanted ventilation or to cool down. **Overall Rating:** The hotel has a high rating, and my overall experience was good. It's highly recommended. If I visit Aomori again, I would still consider staying here.

GGuest UserBreakfast and dinner are divided into Japanese and Western styles. Dinner is very ceremonial, especially French food. The hotel is very close to the ski resort and Suantang Hot Spring, and there is a shuttle bus. The restaurant has a good view. It is very pleasant to sit in the warm restaurant, drink hot coffee, and look at the snow outside.

GGreta0408It is estimated that it will take about 10 minutes to walk from Asakusa Hot Spring Station. Facilities: Some are old, the air conditioner sound is particularly loud, if you mind, you should pay attention to the tatami and quilt sleep very well, it is this quilt is too short, or I sleep in fact, the back of the cushion, the cabinet seems to see the cushion and quilt, and pay attention to no bathroom, To take a bath in the public bathroom, you can soak in a hot spring (the hotel has a total of 25 rooms, don't worry about too many people, dirty or something) Health: The white socks I wore on the tatami were not dirty, but the shower faucet was a bit old and there was scale Services: The English service is an old gentleman, very tasteful, very polite, is to order the room service ~ for the Japanese, breakfast can be used for 1,500 yen, pay attention to the slippers in the room, I actually wear the shoes outside, the service staff reminded me, I don't understand the meaning, but the gesture should mean it. In general, if you want to experience traditional Japanese style, you can consider staying. There are paintings everywhere in the corridor and the atmosphere is very strong.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Asamushi Onsen (about 20mins drive from Aomori downtown) as part of our 2025 Spring trip to Aomori area, and booked Tstsumikan Onsen hotel to stay for the night. The hotel location is great. I think all guest rooms come with open ocean view. No private hot spring tub in the guest room but the large gender-specific hot spring pools are open privately to the overnight stay guests from 8PM to the next morning. The stay comes with 2 meals. The food is good and the dinner was served directly in the guest room. The next morning Japanese breakfast was served in the great tatami dinning room, and the breakfast package even comes with free coffee in the gift shop café after the meal. The staff are warm, and the service is good. My recommendation to this hotel come with no hesitation.

GGuest UserThe sign mentioned many amenities on the first floor, like a bookstore, but those are actually part of the attached hot spring facility. The hotel building itself doesn't offer much, so you should head straight to the hot spring, which is connected by a skybridge on the second floor. The hotel rooms are clean, but quite old-fashioned, for instance, the bathroom faucets are separate for hot and cold water. However, the connected hot spring is excellent. The location is also not bad. I also recommend the nearby milk miso ramen restaurant.

11381600****The hotel staff were incredibly friendly. The Hakkoda Ropeway was canceled, and we were planning to take a public bus to Sukayu Onsen ourselves. When the staff learned of our plans, they proactively arranged a shuttle bus for us. We also found out about a snow hiking tour at Sukayu Onsen on Xiaohongshu and decided last minute to join it. A special thanks to the front desk attendant, OMA SAN, who helped us communicate with the hiking tour guide, allowing us to successfully join the tour and avoid any regrets on this trip.

^^Ki@Check in front desk service is polite and in patient. Room is clean and really big compared to hotel in Tokyo. It provide body clean facilities in bathroom and toilet. Also, we can enjoy tea and coffee in lobby. But one of bad thing is the hotel is far away from JR station, it hold a 20min walk, bit far away and carry a bulky luggage.
