Hotels near Shintenchi in Hiroshima City

"Very satisfied with our stay. Room design is very modern, decent size and clean. Love the lightings in the room as it makes the room very bright unlike some hotel rooms which are dimly lit. Location is good as its right in the city centre and many dining options within walking distance. However if you are travelling by public transport to get to/fro the hotel, probably not that ideal as the metro station is quite a walking distance away. The tram station is also not really near to the hotel. Be prepared to walk. We drove and there are ample parking lots nearby so not an issue. Perhaps they can consider making available a water dispenser for hotel guests to top up their water bottles. Will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends."

"The Washington hotel in Hiroshima is positionally one of the best hotels that I had the pleasure of staying at as it is located directly beside a PARCO and a Don Quijote. In addition to that, directly opposite of the hotel is a Familymart convenience store and there is also a Sukiya positioned behind the hotel. The hotel is also located roughly 15-20 minutes away from Hiroshima station ( by streetcar) and roughly 10 minutes away is a round one stadium. The hotel’s staff were helpful and accomodating and when my friend and I encountered an error with the check in counter, one of the staff dropped what they were doing just to manually check us in. We would recommend this hotel for those who wish to have great convenience at their fingertips along with a very comfortable stay in Hiroshima"

"The room size was decent, not small by Japanese standards. The decor felt quite new. They even had Braille identification at the elevator, which was a nice touch. The hotel is right in the city center, making transportation very convenient. It's really close to the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Museum, just a few minutes' walk. The area felt safe and quiet. My only minor gripe was that there was a front desk staff member on the first day, but I didn't see them on the subsequent two days. It seems like many hotels in Japan are moving towards self check-in now, which I'm still getting used to as I don't visit often."

"The hotel is near a train station which makes travelling convenient! The staff is also very friendly and can communicate in English. The room is spacious, although it doesn’t have much of a view but it’s not big of an issue for us. The reception is on the third floor and there’s a separate elevator to go up to the guest rooms. It was a comfortable stay"

"Lovely stay in Hiroshima. It’s only a few stops away from the main train station and offers breakfast for free in the main floor (7-10am) which was very convenient. The rooms felt spacious after tokyo and the beds were confortable. Recommendable if you are staying more than one night or plan on having a late night around nakaregawa dori."

"The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Hiroshima's busiest pedestrian street, making shopping and dining very convenient. Although the breakfast restaurant isn't particularly spacious, the variety of dishes is excellent and they taste delicious. This hotel offers great value for money."

"A nice budget hotel with good value for money. We opted for a larger room so the extra space was definitely a bonus. The room came with a washing sink and a large leather armchair, though we weren’t quite sure of their purpose as they took up quite a bit of space. The location is excellent, close to shopping areas and plenty of eateries. There’s also a convenience store just a short walk away which is very handy. While there’s no free parking, paid parking is widely available nearby so it’s worth checking around for the best rates. Despite being in a busy area the room was surprisingly quiet making for a comfortable stay. Walking distance to some attractions like the Hiroshima Museum, Dome, Garden and castle."

"Beautiful hotel with a relaxing atmosphere. Room are clean and comfortable. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the afternoon tea and evening cocktails at the Iounge. Highly Recommended!"

"The Moderate cabin size capsule was a lot better with the locker gate right under the bed with lock and key. No more climbing up and down capsules, while noises from other guests were less with more space. It's also located on 7F, so elevator wait times start becoming an issue. Overall I like the Moderate cabin size better. Staff continues to be accommodating with luggage storage Location was also accessible enough to make 1st ferry to Miyajima Island first thing in the morning and still be back at a reasonable time in the evening"

"The hotel is very clean and smells great. It's located very close to the Atomic Bomb Dome and the bus station for the airport shuttle. Hiroshima is a small city, so the location is excellent. There’s a Lawson right next door. I didn't try the breakfast."
