Hotels near Utou Jinja in Aomori City

The location is fantastic, right above the station. The hotel is very new, and I loved the three-part bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower/bath all separate). The hotel's hot spring is quite unique, with a small pool filled with 'yukemuri' (hot spring minerals) and lots of fresh large apples floating in it. The yukemuri is special too; after soaking, my skin felt incredibly smooth. Breakfast was excellent, and the service was warm and welcoming. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time. Just a small suggestion, hoping the hotel sees this: for environmental reasons, if guests opt for towel-only changes, it would be great if you could also provide trash bags so we can change them ourselves.

The dryer costs only 100 yen for 20 minutes, which is very convenient for longer stays. We are a group of family with a young child (8yo.). Appreciate your warm welcome to us. Though we cannot speak Japanese, i think there was no big communication issue - with a Google translator. This ryokan provided all that I have imagined about Ryokan experience in Japan. I personally feel that this place is very very authentic, comparing to several ryokans that i have been to. The food is spectacular as everyone state. i was amazed more by the traditional hospitality!! 한국인 후기가 없는 것 같아 적어둠 : 엄청난 환대를 느꼈습니다. 아오모리에 가는 분들은 방문 후보로 고려하세요. 해산물을 좋아하는 이들에게는 정말 천국. 고양이가 좋다면 플러스. 노천탕은 없지만 작은 탕에 사람이 없으면 프라이빗한 느낌이라 이것도 좋았습니다.

Staff are friendly. Rooms are true to pictures as shown in booking page. I managed to get here with their city bus before picking up a rental car. There's a tonkatsu place just across the street. Convenient spot to settle in.

The location is excellent, just a short walk to the station, which is great even with luggage! If it snows, you can easily call a taxi right outside. It's a bit of a walk to Don Quijote, but definitely manageable, and it's a huge store! Anyway, we mostly used the subway to get around. The immediate area around the hotel is a bit barren, but it's perfect for a transit stay!

We stayed at Asamushi Onsen (about 20mins drive from Aomori downtown) as part of our 2025 Spring trip to Aomori area, and booked Tstsumikan Onsen hotel to stay for the night. The hotel location is great. I think all guest rooms come with open ocean view. No private hot spring tub in the guest room but the large gender-specific hot spring pools are open privately to the overnight stay guests from 8PM to the next morning. The stay comes with 2 meals. The food is good and the dinner was served directly in the guest room. The next morning Japanese breakfast was served in the great tatami dinning room, and the breakfast package even comes with free coffee in the gift shop café after the meal. The staff are warm, and the service is good. My recommendation to this hotel come with no hesitation.

Breakfast and dinner are divided into Japanese and Western styles. Dinner is very ceremonial, especially French food. The hotel is very close to the ski resort and Suantang Hot Spring, and there is a shuttle bus. The restaurant has a good view. It is very pleasant to sit in the warm restaurant, drink hot coffee, and look at the snow outside.

It is estimated that it will take about 10 minutes to walk from Asakusa Hot Spring Station. Check in front desk service is polite and in patient. Room is clean and really big compared to hotel in Tokyo. It provide body clean facilities in bathroom and toilet. Also, we can enjoy tea and coffee in lobby. But one of bad thing is the hotel is far away from JR station, it hold a 20min walk, bit far away and carry a bulky luggage.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly. The Hakkoda Ropeway was canceled, and we were planning to take a public bus to Sukayu Onsen ourselves. When the staff learned of our plans, they proactively arranged a shuttle bus for us. We also found out about a snow hiking tour at Sukayu Onsen on Xiaohongshu and decided last minute to join it. A special thanks to the front desk attendant, OMA SAN, who helped us communicate with the hiking tour guide, allowing us to successfully join the tour and avoid any regrets on this trip.
