"We stayed at Picassobang for 3 nights and 4 days during our trip to Porto! First of all, the breakfast was not very varied, but it was full, and the auxiliary facilities, such as the swimming pool, outdoor pool, and sauna, we were shown and explained each one, but we were not able to use themㅠ The location is within walking distance of the Lello Bookstore, the observatory, the bridge, etc.! It was fun that each room had a different theme. The hotel itself has a design point, so it's great for taking pictures! All the staff working were kind, and the suits were cool and stylish! If we go to Porto again, we decided to go to Torell again! Thank you for staying with us!🤗"

"The staff are incredibly polite, patient, and always ready to help with anything. The rooms are also very clean, and the cleaning staff are friendly and pleasant; they tidy everything up without touching your personal belongings. The building's exterior isn't luxurious or elegant, but I can assure you that hardly matters, as the hallways are beautiful, the elevators work perfectly, and the lobby and lounge area are impeccably maintained. One of the things I loved most was the unlimited beverage refill station at the entrance (apple, pineapple, water, and exotic fruit drinks). I highly recommend this place!"

"The hotel's location right in front of Boliao Market was excellent, making it easy to access all tourist spots. It's like a slightly larger, wooden capsule hotel, and the condition was surprisingly good, so it wasn't bad at all. The overall interior design of the hotel had a modern vibe, and there was a water tank (?) on the rooftop where you could dip your feet, though not actually swim. They offer a stylishly decorated Carlsberg as a welcome drink. However, the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak. Also, I went to check out the sauna on the second floor because it was advertised, but it wasn't working each time I went. There's a restaurant and bar on the ground floor, and it would probably be good to go during their open hours (though I didn't use them myself). Everything else was great. The staff were all very friendly too."

"Last year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment. Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately. The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied. The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too. Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out. The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas."

"The hotel's biggest advantage is its location, very close to the metro station. You can take the elevator up to the second floor with your luggage and reach it within a 5-minute walk. It's on a main street, so no need to navigate narrow alleys, making travel very convenient. **A word of caution:** Be wary of small restaurants starting with 'S' nearby. While cheap, the food tends to be overly salty and the ingredients aren't very fresh. You can walk down the slope to the market for food, and you'll also find good Fado shows in the vicinity. The front desk staff are a bit cool. One female staff member was expressionless and didn't respond to greetings. It wasn't exactly bad service, but the experience was just average. English communication was barely passable, and they were quite rigid in their procedures. Early check-in, even with available rooms, incurs a 10-20 Euro charge. I was originally waiting until 4 PM to check in, but was only allowed to enter my room just before 3:30 PM. I specifically requested a quiet room, and was assigned a corner room backing onto a hillside. There was a persistent low-frequency noise throughout the night, and on the second night, frequent banging sounds, which disturbed my rest. The room's drainage was slow, and the hairdryer was faulty, requiring me to request another one from the front desk. The waste separation was difficult to adapt to. The recycling bins were four different colors, there were no garbage bags, and no simple signs to guide the sorting rules. Having been used to leaving garbage outside the door in other countries, I tried to do so here but was stopped by the front desk without any explanation. Overall, the experience was average. I wouldn't highly recommend it if you have other options."

"The hotel is a bit far from center but in a quiet area. It’s outdated and needs some renovations, especially common areas. But my stay was pleasant, bed is comfortable, water in the shower had good pressure, view from the window was nice. Mini fridge would be nice though."

Amazing
EExploreWithMoFrom the moment I landed, I knew this stay would be special. I was collected from the airport in a luxury Jaguar , (completely free) and transported again at departure, including complimentary trips to and from the city centre. Actual VIP treatment from start to finish .... something I have never experienced anywhere else. Because my flights didn’t match standard hotel times, the team kindly allowed early check-in and late check-out at no extra cost, which took away all travel stress and made my stay even more comfortable. That flexibility meant everything to me. Every single staff member was amazingly warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Although I sadly didn’t manage to catch the names of the wonderful ladies at reception, they were absolutely incredible and deserve huge praise. Special mention to Tomas — such a professional, friendly, standout member of the team. I later found out his birthday was on Thursday 4th, and I wish I had the chance to say Happy Birthday before I left! The location is perfect — close to shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it easy to explore Porto while still enjoying a calm, comfortable stay. The room was immaculate — spotlessly clean, cosy, and beautifully prepared. And the amenities were next-level: Mini-bar, tea and coffee station with kettle, plush slippers, bathrobe, bottled water......everything thoughtfully provided. I was welcomed with a welcome drink on arrival, and a fresh fruit tray waiting in my room. Nothing felt standard, everything felt intentional. What truly sets this hotel apart is the attention to detail. There is a clear sense of care, love, and purpose in every interaction and every small touch. You’re not treated like just another guest , you are genuinely looked after. I honestly cannot fault a single thing about this stay. Hotel Jaguar Porto combines luxury service with real warmth and heart, a rare find. If you’re heading to Porto and looking for an experience that goes far beyond accommodation, this is THE hotel to book. 100% recommended. I will absolutely be back. ✨👏

GGuest UserI stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights, and it was hands down the best decision of my entire trip to Porto. If any of my friends or family visit Porto, I would literally force them to book this place. If you are debating between this and a slightly cheaper, mediocre hotel, do yourself a favor and choose this residence. It offers absolute value for money. 1. Unbeatable Location The location is incredible—literally right next to São Bento Station. If you walk down the slope right across the street, you end up right under the Dom Luís I Bridge. If you walk up the slope to the left, you can reach Jardim do Morro in just about 8 minutes. Having the metro station right outside means you can easily get anywhere, whether it’s Rua de Santa Catarina or the Gaia district. It was so convenient that I could visit a tourist spot, come back to the room for a quick nap, and head out again for evening sightseeing. 2. Excellent Room Condition & Value The condition of the residence is top-notch. Instead of spending money on an awkwardly priced, lower-quality hotel, staying here gives you premium comfort for an amazing price. It is truly the perfect budget-friendly luxury. 3. Fantastic Amenities (Washing Machine & Cooktop) Whether Porto is your first stop or you are coming from Lisbon, you’ll eventually need to do laundry or crave some comfort food. The room comes equipped with a washing machine and an induction cooktop. It was amazing to be able to do my piled-up laundry and cook some ramen after buying groceries at the supermarket. This feature alone makes it a must-stay destination during your journey. [Conclusion] This place is flawless in terms of location, price, and convenience. Don't hesitate—just book it. You won't regret it!

WWestopiaFantastic location and large common area, with inclusive breakfast and a welcome drink at their downstairs bar! The domitory is clean with all the facilities you would need, and the staff are all very nice! There are hot water in both the shower and the sink, which I really appreciate. If they could provide hair-dryer in the dorms it would be perfect, right now you can only borrow one from the reception, and you might not br in luck if someone else has taken it.

JJinwooOne of the Best Serviced Apartments We’ve Stayed At This was easily the best serviced apartment we’ve stayed at recently. All the facilities were brand new, and the cleanliness—especially in the kitchen and bathroom—surpassed even some 4-star hotels. Everything we needed was provided, and the interior design was excellent. The bed was also very comfortable. Great location, great price, great amenities. Here are a few potential downsides that might matter to some guests: • The internet was very slow. The Wi-Fi signal on the second floor was the strongest, so we used that, but it was barely sufficient for even checking emails. It felt as if the connection was intentionally throttled. If you need stable internet for work, tethering through your phone might actually be faster. • No elevator. Our unit was located on the second floor, and we had to carry about 30kg of luggage up the stairs ourselves. Even a small, old-fashioned lift would have been a huge help. • Noise from upstairs. Although the apartment was newly renovated, the flooring is still the original wooden structure, so noise from the upper floor can be heard. We were tired enough to sleep through it with earplugs, but sensitive guests should take this into account. Booking the top-floor unit might solve this issue, though that means climbing even more stairs. • Early check-in confusion. We had requested an early check-in, but it wasn’t communicated properly. As a result, we had to drop off our luggage at the YOUROPO office, which is about a 6–7 minute walk from the apartment. I wonder if we could’ve left our luggage directly at the property if the message had gone through properly—perhaps someone from the team could clarify? Despite these minor issues, I would still give this property a full 5 stars. If we visit Porto again, YOUROPO will be at the top of our list.

UUrban VoyagerWe had a wonderful stay at Eurostars Aliados in Porto. While advertised as a 5-star hotel, it feels more like a high-end 4-star, mainly because it lacks some of the extra touches of luxury and service you’d expect from a top-tier 5-star experience. That said, it still offers great value for money and an excellent stay. One of the hotel’s strongest points is its location—right in the heart of Porto, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Despite being so central, the room was quiet and well-insulated, allowing for a great night’s sleep. Check-in was smooth and efficient, with friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome right away. Throughout our stay, the staff remained courteous and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience. Our room was spacious, stylish, and very comfortable, featuring a king-sized bed, elegant decor, and a huge shower that added a touch of indulgence. Everything was spotlessly clean, which is always a priority when choosing a hotel. The hotel has a spa with a gym, sauna, and hammam, free for guests. While we didn’t have time to use them, they looked modern, well-maintained, and inviting, adding to the hotel’s appeal. Overall, Eurostars Aliados delivers a stylish and comfortable stay at a reasonable price. While it may not quite reach the level of a true 5-star experience, it’s an excellent option for those looking for a high-quality hotel in the center of Porto. We would definitely stay here again!

AAixa MestralletThe hostel is near the Church of Santa Catarina. It's in a great location with nice bars nearby. The hostel is very clean and the common areas (kitchen, living room, and outdoor garden) are very well-maintained. I would happily return. GGuest UserThe least you expect from a five star hotel was a good service and cleanlinless. We stayed here for 5 nights and they did not change our bedsheet even though it was written that they will change it every 3 days, no refill of water, no refill of tissues and coffee and tea we had to request it. There’s a small cockroach in the bathtub. At the front desk they don’t even greet you whenever you passby I am not being entitled that I should be greeted I just compare it to other hotel where they always smile. It’s hard to call the front desk sometimes it will take 5 minutes.  On the positive side the food in the restaurant was really good and the drinks at the bar those who are working there was really nice and attentive too. I’d like to commend also Fabrizio who always smile and who helps us with our luggage when we check in and check out.

GGuest UserLocation was good: close to Casa da Musica and the main Boa Vista roundabout. The apartment was clean and big enough for a couple nights of stay. The only issue we experienced was the door code system. When we arrived at the property on the first day, the main entrance door was open, exposing the building to theft. On the second day, we couldn’t open the main entrance door using the code provided. (The code worked on the first day.) We messaged the operator using their platform and received no reply. We called the operator but nobody answered the phone. Since it was raining, we walked to Casa da Musica to shelter ourselves from the rain. Then the operator called back and asked us to send a video of what happened of the door code. Since we left the building, we couldn’t take the video. Then they agreed to look into it. They sent us a reply saying that we refused to comply by sending a video. They subsequently asked us to ignore the message and said it was their internal communication and was sent to us by mistake, but it showed that they didn’t understand why we didn’t want to walk back to the building in the rain to take the video they requesed. After an hour of us raising the issue with them, they finally sent someone to open the main entrance for us. The person said the entrance code issue was not new! It was a very bad experience and we wasted an hour. We would seriously reconsider staying in a place managed by this operator.
