The facilities and amenities are actually good, but the offer of the room type does not actually mathces the description and picture associated. When we pick kaaba view and we see that the picture associated is clear kaaba view, the perception is the room is clear kaaba view without obstruction. However, it's disappointing to find out that the view of the romm to the kaaba was actually obstructed by a crane. This should not happe

The hotel is great and affordable. The location is good, only a 10-minute walk to the Haram courtyard. Getting to the Haram from the hotel is easy because it's downhill, but I always take the shuttle back to the hotel from the Haram. It's safe.

Excellent location and cleanliness. Room size was good and partial Kaaba was an excellent experience. Tower Lifts could be busy at prayer times but hotel lifts were good.
Cleaning and catering staff were welcoming.

After a few initial hiccups with room size, maintenance issues, and the card system at reception, the kind Guest Manager upgraded us to a suite on the 25th floor—what a thoughtful gesture! The proximity to the Haram makes the whole experience so much easier, especially when returning from prayers. You can literally see the Kaabah from the hotel exit, and being near the Clock Towers gives you easy access to shops and restaurants.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing—top-class food served by very nice Bangladeshi staff who were attentive and kind. Funny enough, after all the sweat and crowds at the Masjid, returning to the hotel and smelling its freshness was such a relief. *************.
The hotel usually offers gahwa, water, and dates after Salah, which is lovely—but as a heads-up, it tends to run out quickly, so not everyone always gets some.
The views (if you opt for the higher, more expensive rooms) are incredible. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, making it easy to rest after long days at the Haram.
Overall, despite minor hiccups, the excellent service, stunning location, and comfort make Marwah Rayhaan by Rotana highly recommendable. *************, it made our Makkah stay much more comfortable and memorable.

Everything was great, close to the Haram and all amenities. However, if more attention was paid to the cleanliness and disinfection of the rooms and bathrooms, it would be perfect.

This is not to be 2 star hotels for my recommendation need to be 5 star because it’s teapot good service and clean the reception was so kindnesses and it’s very close to Al haram allhamdulliah from hotel to Al haram it’s very close 9 mints if you don’t go by Anjum hotel for ladies walking walking 15 mints

Jumeirah Hotel was excellent in terms of facilities — everything is new, clean, and well-maintained. Credit where it’s due: the staff were genuinely outstanding, extremely attentive, and always eager to help. Service level is easily one of the best.
Location-wise, it’s around a 4–6 minute walk to Al Haram, which is acceptable. However, let’s be real — compared to the Clock Tower hotels, they are noticeably closer and more convenient, especially during peak prayer times.
Now, about the “Partial Haram View” — this needs honesty. We booked two Deluxe Rooms with Partial Haram View, but the view is technically there… if you really look for it 😅. The Haram is barely visible, and most of the view is dominated by unfinished construction. You’ll spend more time spotting the Haram than enjoying it.
Bottom line:
Excellent hotel, top-tier service, great facilities — but don’t book it expecting a meaningful Haram view. If proximity and view matter, Clock Tower hotels still win.

When we arrive it was quick and easy to get our keys.
Upon check in the room was spacious, clean and beautiful. There was no dry mat for foot, we requested and housekeeping said they don’t have it.
The toilet was slippery each time after we use them and as we exit the toilet due to no foot dry mat.
After a day, the housekeeping later gave us dry mat.
Overall location for shopping and eating Arabic/western/bangladesh cuisine is located less than 1min walk.
Towards Haram may take 10-15mins walk.
During each prayer time road will closed and will have your personal private van/car unable to reach the hotel due to police control about 500meters away from this hotel not allowing any private car in. Before and after prayer time road are open but restricted unless you walk to 500meters to the police where they control which vehicles can come in and tell the police which private vehicle is yours. So we were eventually late for our flight due to local restrictions by traffic police not allowing our private vehicle in as you have to walk 500meters and identify which vehicle to tell the police to let in. That’s the only inconvenience and the hotel can’t do anything about it nor assist your luggage to walk 500meters away to send your luggage to your vehicles.

Delicious and distinctive food options. We take you on a special culinary adventure at Novotel Makkah to enjoy a variety of innovative dishes Our hotel offers easy access from and to Al Masjid al Haram with modern shuttle buses available around the clock
DDeasy Arisa2026.03.25
Novotel Makkah Thakher City is really not recommended, seriously.
The bus stop for its shuttle is very far from the Haram; just walking from the Haram to the shuttle stop alone can take about 30 - 40 minutes.
The shuttle takes a long time to arrive at the hotel for pick up — once we waited 30 minutes, the shuttle isn’t always on standby. Once we wanted to go for Fajr prayer, we had to take a taxi because the shuttle didn’t come for a long time.
This is from a real experience staying here for 2 nights. Because the Middle East current war, we got a flight reroute that depart 2 days earlier, so we had to add 2 nights at a nearby hotel, but the prices of the hotel close to Haram were already very expensive. We thought this Novotel’s shuttle would be like the one at Le Méridien Tower (shuttle bus stop close to haram - we stayed the on our previous trip), but this Novotel shuttle bus stop turned out to be too far, especially when we travel will elderly
On the second day, we only went to the mosque to complete our umrah — we couldn’t handle going back and forth between the hotel and the mosque multiple times.
*************, on the third day (2 days ago, when this comment was written), we moved to a nearby hotel that we had already booked long before.”
Yes, nusuk approval was fast with this hotel, but what’s the point of fast approval if you still have to wait for the shuttle for an hour close to prayer time and still miss the congregation?
Because of the long wait, we got stuck in traffic, and then walking from the bus to the mosque also took a very long time.
Hopefully this can be a consideration for those planning to book — don’t regret it like we did, since we didn’t have many options because we booked late 😆”

Amazing
AAulia BimoOverall the hotel staff & receptionist services was very great. Unfortunately, we had bad experiences with the Majlis Restaurant & Cafe Staff services. They force us as the guest of the Raffles for any order with specific minimum order and payment, even though the time we visit is around 9.30 pm (local time), after the dinner.
Please take the act as appropriate for any staff that not provide good service and humble to the Hotel Guest.
Appreciated and thanks.
NNurjuhaida Mohamad ShahirWe had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The location is excellent, with easy access to the Haram, making it very convenient for prayers and daily activities.
The check-in and check-out process was smooth, the housekeeping team did a great job throughout our stay, and the breakfast spread offered a wide variety of options every day.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the Kaaba view from our room. It was truly a memorable and special experience that we will always cherish.
Thank you to the entire team for the warm hospitality. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Makkah.
ننور١It was a great experience as it’s my first time staying here in this hotel, at first i got lost and confused with the lifts, but then it was easy access once you know where to go which floor you should use. It’s not a straightforward one, but it’s easy. Hamdoulillah for everything. Nothing to complain, food was so great especially for breakfast. I really did enjoyed my stay there with the private lift that didn’t mix with the mall lifts. Was very quick in everything and the hotel and room so clean and comfy. I had a good stay
GGuest UserFantastic hotel. Extremely clean (and fragrant lobby). We had a twin deluxe room with Haram view; spacious, comfortable and plush. Breakfast was also solid with good hours (6:00 to 10:30). We checked out on a Friday and they allowed us to check out after Jummah salah.
The hotel is actually quite close to the Haram. From reviews online I was unsure, but in practice it's a few minutes walk to King Fahd Gate 79. For getting into the Haram I think it is quicker door-to-door than the Clock Tower hotels. For getting back from the Haram to the hotel, that is a bit longer depending on where you exit the masjid anddue to a slight uphill walk (nothing very demanding, non-elderly should be fine), though the walkway gets congested at busy times.
Alternatively, there is a shuttle which takes you from the main hotel entrance to street level in less than 2 minutes; from there you take escalator/lift to the Haram.
Would highly reccommend; only cons here would be no lotion in the bathroom and shower water pressure/temperature was not that high (very minor issues!)
AAnonymous UserStayed for 1 night. Thank you for a female receptionist (sorry, I did not take your name), you really made my day after a long journey from my hometown to Makkah from morning to night, our room got upgraded *************. Hotel location wise, near Haram about 80m and less crowded compare to hotels in clock Tower, beside the famous ice cream and having an international sahoor buffet during Ramadan. Everything was good and staffs also friendly. A good stay and best experienced I will say. Thank you. Will book this hotel again if I come back to Makkah next time, Insha'Allah. Thumbs up!
ممحمد المبيضVery reasonable price, excellent hotel cleanliness, and away from the noise. There's a complex of restaurants and cafes in the hotel square, and a distinct mosque nearby. There's also a shuttle service to the Haram every hour, as well as a return service, but the return is annoying because you have to take two buses.
Nnita88Our second time here and it has always been a great experience with the hotel rooms.
The shuttle service to masjidilharam is perfect, but the gate under clock tower most times are closed, unlike before. So we have to divert to jabal umar area before arriving the outdoor courtyard.
GGuest UserAbsolutely amazing!
Clean and very helpful.
We had a beautiful room with a great view of the Qatari mosque.
We went during Ramadan, and the main mosque was extremely crowded. So it was ideal that there's a large, beautiful mosque right across from the hotel where we prayed wonderful Taraweeh. We really enjoyed our stay.
MMoataz888I’ve stayed four days and enjoyed the daily bus service to Haram it was 24/7 days, the receptionists are professional and approachable.
The room service was friendly and supportive. The room was mid clean not immaculate but it was nice, the TV was working well.
The fridge is not cooling very much but its fine.
YYasirSolangiExcellent hotel with great service and a nice breakfast. Highly recommended! Compared to other hotels, this offers the best value for money. However, the location is on a hill, which may be difficult for elderly guests to access.
