Hotels near Hort Park in Singapore

I stayed at the Alexandra Hotel on Alexandra Road in mid-May with my child for an exam in Singapore. The location is excellent, right next to IKEA, and you can even see The Interlace, Singapore's famous 'Jenga block' residential complex. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and public buses are readily available. The MRT is a bit of a walk, about twelve minutes. If you're going further than two kilometers, I'd recommend taking a taxi; Grab (Gao De) is usually the best option. The hotel's seventh floor houses the breakfast restaurant, gym, and swimming pool. The pool is fantastic – a much better experience than typical five-star hotel pools. The room had great soundproofing and effective air conditioning. They don't provide bottled water, but there's drinkable tap water. They offer two complimentary sachets of instant American coffee and tea bags. Additionally, toothbrushes (no toothpaste, you need to request it from the hotel), cotton swabs, and disposable slippers are provided. The overall service was superb, especially the lobby staff. HUNG, SIMIE, ALIF, and IRISH were all very nice and enthusiastic. HUNG, in particular, was incredibly helpful in communicating directions with our taxi driver. 👍 I highly recommend this hotel for your consideration.

The room, as is typical for Singapore, was a bit small but very clean. Behind the hotel, there's a small hill perfect for a leisurely stroll, with a hiking trail that takes about an hour to complete. Right outside is a bus stop, and it's only three stops to VivoCity, making transportation very convenient. However, there aren't any hawker centers nearby, so you'll need to take a bus to find places to eat.

Travelodge Harbourfront is a practical option for travelers who value location and affordability. The room is admittedly quite small, but it works well for business stays or trips where you do not plan to spend much time indoors. The shower had strong water pressure, which was a nice plus, and the bed was comfortable enough for a good rest after a long day out. Breakfast could definitely be improved. The selection felt limited and leaned heavily toward less healthy processed items such as sausages. On one occasion, the fried chicken was also undercooked, which was disappointing. Overall, if you need convenient access to Sentosa and are traveling on a budget, this is still a good and convenient place to stay.

Facilities: The cottage I stayed in is detached, not inside the main building, so the soundproofing was a bit lacking. Cleanliness: Good. Environment: It's in a relatively quiet area, surrounded by apartments. Across the street, there are restaurants, bars, a supermarket, and a bakery. Service: Good.

Ugh, I forgot to take photos, so I'll use some random ones instead. First off, I chose this place because it's super close to Universal Studios, and I figured a chain hotel wouldn't be too bad. But the price wasn't exactly cheap – I paid over 480 for a queen room. I know hotels in Singapore are pricey, so this was within my expected budget; I'd already come to terms with the cost. The front desk staff were all really nice. However, my heart sank when I opened the door. The room was tiny, and they don't provide slippers, toothbrushes, or cups, citing environmental reasons... though if you ask the front desk for a toothbrush, they'll give you one. For cleanliness, I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5 – not terrible, but not outstanding either. It's a small room but has all the essentials, though you definitely can't fit two suitcases in there; it felt really cramped. On the bright side, the soundproofing seemed pretty good. I'm not sure if there were no other guests or if everyone was just incredibly considerate, but I didn't hear any noise. Plus, I was so exhausted from sleeping at the airport the night before that I slept like a log. It was the best night's sleep of my entire trip, and I was genuinely shocked that I slept best in the smallest room... Oh, and the shower gel and shampoo are all-in-one, so if you're particular, you might want to bring your own.

The rooms come standard with a washing machine + dryer, induction cooker/microwave, refrigerator, private bathroom, desk, and air conditioning. It's super convenient for long stays, cooking, and laundry. It's close to the National University of Singapore (NUS) and West Coast Park, with plenty of bus routes nearby.

Small but perfectly formed, this hotel has everything you need. The location is excellent, making it super convenient to get around, and there's plenty of stuff nearby. It'll definitely be my first choice next time I'm in town. Thanks for the great service, and I wish the hotel all the best!

Great ambience and beautiful view. So nature and clean environment. Worth to stay and nearby to attractions and beach clubs in Sentosa. Shuttle service also provided to go along the beaches ; Pahlawan beach, Tanjong Beach and Siloso Beach which is also convenient to take bus, train and taxi at nearby station. Easy access transportation in and out from Sentosa Island. Love the seaview and garden view from the rooftop and also just a walking distance to Beach Station in less than 10mins from the resort. This is my 2nd time staycation here and highly recommend for a short gateway and healing by nature in Sentosa Island.

Our toilet floor gets wet each time we showered as the water seeps through the glass pane. Housekeeping was nice to give us extra towels , floor mats . Maintainance was called and he was good enough to change the rubber. However it does not solve the problems. So we always have a wet toilet floor which is very unpleasant. Our room has a lot of ants. Other than that nothing much to comment. Kudos to housekeeping

Originally booked this hotel for shits and giggles coz of Anthropic Claude. This place is obsessively clean. I’m talking about the kind of clean that makes you suspicious — like maybe they have a team that just polishes doorknobs all day. Everything is spotless. Even the complimentary laundry room (which, yes, is FREE with detergent pods included) looks surgical. Zero lint. No detergent residue. No mysterious washing machine funk. Just pure, sparkling cleanliness. For someone as particular as me about hygiene, this was an unexpected jackpot. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Location is solid: walking distance to Chinatown, Maxwell Hawker Centre, Keong Saik Road’s fancy food scene, and two MRT stations (Chinatown and Maxwell). The outdoor courtyard smells like fresh lemon balm disinfectant, which is oddly specific but very reassuring. There’s also a complimentary minibar, which feels generous for a compact room. The double bed room I booked was small but accurately described during booking, so no gotcha moments. If you’re short like me, the bed’s perfectly comfortable. They’ve maximized storage cleverly: luggage space, safety box, mini fridge under the bed. The courtyard becomes your unofficial living room since the actual room is just… bed. The Meh The rain shower is a mystery. I still don’t know how to use it without turning the bathroom into a wading pool. The handheld showerhead has weak water pressure, though the bathroom itself is otherwise excellent. So clean!!! You can feel the MRT rumbling underneath (acceptable noise level), but the real problem is Leila, the bar downstairs. If you’re into nightlife, great! If you’re trying to sleep on the second floor, less great. I could hear thumping bar music until late. Front desk was gracious and delivered earplugs promptly when I asked, so points for responsiveness. Walking around during rainy season would be a drag.
