"Overall, the hotel doesn't offer good value for money and feels more like a 3-star property. 1. The rooms are very small. They're fine for two people, but we saw a family of three trying to squeeze in, and it looked very cramped. Soundproofing is poor; you can hear doors moving in the next room and footsteps from upstairs. There are no bathrobes or slippers in the rooms. 2. When booking, consider the building's location – try to get one away from the restaurant. Otherwise, the restaurant's air conditioning kicks in at 5:30 AM and hums loudly all day. This noise forced us to change rooms, which took a full day. We also had issues with an irritable front desk agent who insisted we check out at 12:00 PM but said our new room wouldn't be ready until 3:00 PM. We disagreed, but he refused to help and yelled at us. This inappropriate behavior from the agent really soured our vacation. He refused to call a manager and even lied, claiming he *was* the manager. We had to find the general manager ourselves to resolve the issue. Thankfully, we were eventually helped and moved to a new room by 10:30 AM. 3. Breakfast was decent, with a good variety, and there was always enough food. 4. The pool is shallow (1.20m), really only suitable for children. It's also noisy on the grounds during the day. 5. The beach is clean and nice. 6. There are plenty of sun loungers. 7. They organize volleyball games at 5:00 PM. 8. In the evenings, neighboring hotels set up tables on the beach for dinner, but this hotel doesn't offer that. Perhaps if it weren't for the rude front desk agent at the start of our stay, our experience would have been much more positive!"

"A Relaxing Stay with Warm and Wonderful Service We stayed for 3 nights with 2 adults and 1 child, and overall, we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay. We were especially delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade to the Jacuzzi Villa. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Even with an extra bed for our child, there was still plenty of space and it never felt cramped. We also loved having the private courtyard, which was a lovely little space to sit, relax and enjoy some quiet time. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the staff. Everyone was friendly, polite and always greeted us with a smile. A special thank you to Ms. Kob, who was exceptionally warm and helpful. She was always willing to assist us and made us feel very well taken care of. Her genuine hospitality really added to our experience. The breakfast was good as well, with a decent variety of choices. For guests who prefer stronger and spicier Thai flavours, the food may taste a little milder than expected, but we still enjoyed the selection. The location is another plus. The beach is within walking distance, so it was very convenient to enjoy the seaside without having to drive. It gave us a very relaxing holiday atmosphere. There are a few areas where the property could benefit from some maintenance and improvement. In our villa, some sections of the wooden flooring were slightly raised and may need attention for safety and comfort. The parking area is also quite steep, which can feel a little challenging, although the staff were helpful and could assist with parking arrangements. For families with older children, one thing to consider is that the shower area does not have much privacy or a proper screen, so this may be more suitable for couples or families with younger children. Despite these small points, we genuinely enjoyed our stay. The spacious villa, relaxing atmosphere, friendly service and convenient access to the beach made our experience very enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay, and we would be happy to return in the future. 💛"

"Room: The room was clean, tidy, and well maintained. Housekeeping came in every day to clean the room, which was great. The only downside was that the room was not very soundproof. Noise from outside, as well as the sound of other guests opening and closing their doors, could be heard quite clearly and was sometimes disturbing. Location & Convenience: The location is excellent, as the hotel is located right next to Central, making it very convenient for shopping, dining, and getting around. Facilities & Amenities: The amenities in the room were not completely consistent. For example, my colleague’s room had a hairdryer, but mine did not. However, I didn’t really have an issue with the other facilities because this is a budget-friendly accommodation, so I didn’t expect too much in this area. What I Was Not Impressed With: The main issue was room allocation and the lack of clarity regarding the food credit promotion. We made our reservations in advance through the app and clearly requested not to have a room near the elevator, but we were still given a room close to the elevator. We also booked two rooms, but they were located in different buildings. If the hotel was unable to accommodate our requests, it would have been better to inform us in advance. Regarding the food credit, we stayed at the hotel for a total of 9 nights, but made three separate bookings because our travel plans were not fixed: * 1st booking: 3 nights → received a THB 300 food credit per person * 2nd booking: 2 nights → did not receive the credit, as we were told that the stay was not long enough * 3rd booking: 4 nights → we expected to receive the credit, but were told that there was no credit in the system because we had not selected it during the booking process What was disappointing was that the criteria for receiving the food credit were not clearly explained. All three bookings were made through the same app, yet the benefits were different. If guests are required to select or add the promotion themselves during the booking process, the terms and conditions should be clearly stated so that customers can understand the requirements and avoid confusion. Overall: The accommodation is clean, the location is excellent, and it is a convenient option for people travelling for work or looking for budget accommodation. However, I hope the hotel can improve soundproofing, room allocation according to guest requests, and especially the clarity of promotional terms and benefits."

"Service was excellent right from the start. We could have breakfast in room for one the mornings. Our “secret room” was exclusive and super private. Room service tasted awesome. The team initiated late check out at 3pm to accomodate our departure flight back. Super recommended if you are coming for your special occasion trips or just a restful getaway. Location is 3min from Central Samui where supermarkets and restaurants are just stone’s throw away."

"Avani Chaweng Samui Hotel & Beach Club has a trendy and vibrant atmosphere, with a beautiful beachfront setting and a great location near shops and food places in Chaweng. The room was comfortable, clean, and stylish, and the overall stay felt relaxing and enjoyable. A special thank you as well for the complimentary birthday room decoration and birthday cake prepared during my stay. It was a thoughtful gesture that made my birthday feel extra memorable and heartwarming. One issue we encountered was that the iron provided was stained and unfortunately damaged my new blouse while ironing. However, I appreciated that the team tried their best to provide service recovery and assist with the situation professionally and politely. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay, and we truly enjoyed the experience at the hotel."

"Overall, this hotel is very good. From the moment we walked in, the staff asked us to beat a drum at the entrance, symbolizing good luck. While waiting to check in, they gave us blessing ropes, showing the hotel's thoughtful touches. The staff were very service-oriented, especially one girl with a very kind smile. She often waved us off as we left and waited until we got into the car, which was incredibly heartwarming. The style and facilities of the hotel room were excellent. It had a courtyard-style balcony, and the bathroom was quite large with a good-sized soaking tub; it was generally very comfortable. However, all the rooms we booked were on the second floor, which was inconvenient for the elderly in our group due to daily stairs. Moreover, on our first day, the room below us was a pool access room, and they were noisy from the afternoon until past midnight. I called the front desk to complain at 9 PM, and they immediately sent staff to address it, but the noise started up again later. Closer to midnight, I messaged Trip.com to communicate the issue. The next day, a staff member found me during breakfast to apologize for the behavior of the guests downstairs and offered to change our room to a different type that day. I was very satisfied with the hotel's ability to resolve problems. If you need anything at the hotel, you can call the front desk at any time, including requesting a buggy to the restaurant and beach. The hotel property has many slopes, and it's quite hot, so walking isn't ideal. The beach is beautiful, and there are many free water activities. My child spent one day kayaking and another day paddleboarding. The hotel's breakfast was a semi-buffet, semi-à la carte style. The variety wasn't small, but the overall quality was average."

"Silavadee Pool Villas Samui: An Honest Review 🇹🇭 Silavadee Pool Villas, Koh Samui My honest thoughts after staying at this popular cliffside villa. 🏝️ Location: Even closer to the sea than the neighboring Banyan Tree. The hotel is nestled on a cliffside promontory at Lamai Beach, right next to the Banyan Tree. However, Silavadee's overall terrain is more beachfront, directly facing the entire bay, giving it a naturally superior ocean view. Surrounding amenities aren't the most convenient: The nearest convenience stores and restaurants are at least a 15-minute walk away. If you don't want to walk, don't worry – the hotel offers complimentary shuttle services to Chaweng Beach and Lamai Town, making getting around quite hassle-free. 🏡 Room Types & Recommendations: Ocean View Villa The hotel primarily features detached Thai-style villas, categorized into first-row ocean view, partial ocean view, and garden view villas, along with basic standard rooms. My immediate impression was that the indoor room space wasn't as large as advertised. However, the private terrace and private pool with ocean views more than made up for it. On the first night, we were assigned Villa 28. There was an observation deck in front, obstructing the ocean view. Not only was the view incomplete, but the privacy of the terrace was very poor – you could see directly into the room from outside. I immediately contacted the front desk, and they kindly moved us to Villa 29 the next day, free of charge. This villa offered an unobstructed panoramic ocean view, and the terrace was completely private with a phenomenal view – a world of difference! 👉 Tip for your stay: Be sure to request a first-row ocean view villa, specifically number 29 or higher. Villas 26 and 27 also offer better ocean views. If you're only planning to stay in a basic room type, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. 🌊 Public Areas & Beach: Stunning pools, average beach The hotel's overall public area isn't particularly large, but it boasts two expansive infinity pools perched on the cliffside overlooking the ocean, perfect for photos. It also has a private beach at the foot of the hill, but it's quite rocky, and the sand is coarse, making it uncomfortable to walk barefoot. It's fine for taking pictures, but not ideal for leisurely strolls or swimming. 🍴 Dining: The hotel's biggest highlight, breakfast is divine! The only absolutely flawless aspect of this hotel is its dining. It completely exceeded my expectations, comprehensively outshining the InterContinental I stayed at previously in terms of taste and ambiance! 1. Cliffside Breakfast Restaurant The breakfast restaurant is built on the cliff, offering a 180° unobstructed ocean view. It operates on a buffet-plus-à-la-carte model, and all the freshly prepared dishes are consistently excellent – you can't go wrong. Every dish has amazing flavor and seasoning, and enjoying breakfast with the sea breeze is an incredibly blissful experience. 2. MOON Restaurant (popular spot) Previously a dedicated breakfast spot, it's now exclusively for dinner. Located next to the second main pool, it offers a fantastic ambiance for a romantic dinner, enjoying Western cuisine and seafood with the sea breeze at dusk. ⚠️ Real Drawbacks: Consider carefully before booking It's a bit overpriced, heavily leans into its 'influencer hot spot' status, and attracts many Chinese tourists. During peak season, room rates are high, and considering the overall amenities, it's not particularly cost-effective. ✍️ Final Recommendation for Your Stay This is a cliffside 'influencer' hotel with very polarized pros and cons. Its advantages are the stunning cliffside ocean views, private pools in individual villas, and a top-tier cliffside breakfast. Its downsides include challenging uphill walks, many mosquitoes, average amenities, and a less-than-ideal value for money. If you decide to stay: I only recommend booking a first-row ocean view villa or higher. I absolutely do not recommend booking basic room types. Make sure to communicate in advance to avoid Villa 28, which has an obstructed view!"

"Stepping out of the hotel entrance, you're greeted by a vibrant array of restaurants, bars, and shops. Conversely, walking through the back of the hotel leads directly to a sprawling sandy beach. This excellent location offers a wonderful resort feel, making for a very comfortable stay. There's also a large shopping mall (Central) nearby. An ATM is available in the hotel lobby. Although the building is older, it was meticulously clean, and the room layout was comfortable and well-suited for a pleasant stay. The staff were numerous and all very responsive, each handling their duties with great attention to detail, which was appreciated. I booked late and many nearby hotels were fully booked, leaving me with limited options, but choosing this one turned out to be a great decision!"

"The sea here is objectively very dirty with a silty bottom, so murky you can't even see your feet if you wade in ankle-deep. The villas are in need of renovation; the bathroom walls look like they've been smeared, not painted. The towels, especially the beach ones, are in very poor condition, and the bed linen has holes. Breakfasts are decent with a wide buffet selection. You can also have lunch and dinner at the restaurant; prices are above average, but the food is tasty. The staff are smiling and attentive. There's a good gym with a great view of the pool. The pool water is very warm, so it doesn't offer much of a cool-down. There are enough sun loungers for everyone, and plenty of tables at breakfast. The location is convenient, right next to Big C and a 5-minute walk from 7-Eleven. It's also a 10-minute walk to the Fisherman's Village, which has a wide variety of restaurants and bars."

"This is the 4th time I’ve stayed here and easily my least enjoyable time. Staff are still friendly and helpful, work hard to keep rooms clean and grounds pretty. Room has powerful air conditioning to keep cold despite the heat. Beds had damp sheets due to humidity. Shower had issues both with pressure (sometimes none at all) and temperature (bursts of scalding water). Pool/bar area is under construction so there are banging noises throughout the day. When finished, it hopefully returns to its peaceful state as the pool area is beautiful. Drinks (cocktails) were comparatively expensive and watered down. With family that preferred to rest and socialize on the stoop of the ground floor room, uncomfortable furniture there could use some upgrading."
