I extended my stay for two more days after the first night, and I'm extremely satisfied! Besides the excellent facilities and environment (honestly, for this price and quality, it's incredible value for money), the hotel also helps with SPA bookings and offers free airport transfers. The service is truly thoughtful. I slept wonderfully. The breakfast is delicious, and the daily in-room snacks are a special touch (they're different every day). If you want a comfortable, quiet stay in Chiang Mai, this place is definitely worth it.

Overall, the property has a pleasant concept, and the surrounding greenery creates a very nice jungle‑resort, exotic atmosphere. The natural environment is well‑designed and enjoyable but my 2 nights stay came with several issues that future guests may want to be aware of. Considering the price, there are much better options in the area that offer a more comfortable experience and better facilities. 1. Privacy & Layout The architectural layout offers very limited privacy. From the balcony, neighboring rooms are directly visible, which made it difficult to use the outdoor space comfortably. 2. Cleanliness & Hygiene Some areas of the room were not thoroughly cleaned. The built‑in storage under the bed had visible dust and dirt, making it unsuitable for storing clean clothes. In the shower area, the pebble‑style floor creates many hard‑to‑clean corners. Before I even used the shower, I noticed hair and even ***** hair trapped between the stones. During showering, water drained extremely slowly, causing the floor to flood and submerge above my feet under standing water. This design makes the area prone to bacteria buildup and was uncomfortable to use, especially for female guests during sensitive times. 3. Bathroom Fixtures The handheld bidet spray had extremely strong pressure and ice‑cold water, which made it uncomfortable to use—especially for women during sensitive days. 4. Safety & Property Layout The property’s terrain is quite complex, with multiple staircases and uneven levels. At night, many areas are poorly lit, which can be unsafe if guests are not watching their step. Some decorative reflective pieces hanging from trees also create a rather unsettling atmosphere after dark. The corridor near my room remained unlit at night, making the area feel dim and uncomfortable. Additionally, during rainy weather, several outdoor areas accumulated water, making certain paths slippery and less safe to walk through. 5. Room FacilitiesvThe room does not have a wardrobe or proper clothing hangers. The only hanging option is a decorative tree‑branch style rack, which is suitable for small items but not for clothing. As a result, clothes can only be placed on the balcony, where humidity and rain make it difficult to keep them dry.vThere is also no bedside lamp or reading light, which makes the room not work‑friendly.vAdditionally, there is no luggage rack or storage space, so suitcases must be kept on the floor throughout the stay. 6. Condition of FacilitiesvMany parts of the property appear worn down and in need of maintenance. In the dining area, several corners and edges show visible deterioration, and I noticed areas with water leakage. Overall, the facilities feel quite aged and could benefit from repairs and updates. 7. Service & CommunicationvThere is no phone in the room, and front desk service ends around 10 PM. Even after I added the property’s contact information, my door was still knocked on at night despite having a “Do Not Disturb” sign displayed. Complimentary water was provided, but only when requested; it was not proactively replenished. 8. Deposit & BreakfastvThe property requires a cash deposit upon arrival, which feels unusual considering the age and condition of the facilities. Breakfast was provided, but the quality was noticeably lower compared to other homestays in the area. 9. Additional Safety ConcernsvI found a sharp, hard plastic piece in a dish I ordered. I pulled it out from my mouth, and I almost swallowed it. The meal was remade, but the original dish was not waived.vThe bathroom door lock also malfunctioned once. There were also quite a few jumping spiders in the room due to the environment, likely because regular insect control is not performed. I requested insect spray from the front desk, and they did respond quickly and helped resolve it.

This is my second time in Chiang Mai, and I chose this hotel again. This time, they've built a new wing, which has a slightly different style from the old one. The rooms in the new building are newer and offer more privacy. I had only booked one night in the new wing and the rest in the old one, but the front desk upgraded me to the new wing for all my nights. Every staff member was very nice. I'll definitely choose to stay here again the next time I visit Chiang Mai.

This hotel was lovely. Shame we only stayed one night. It was in a great location near all the markets, the hotel had a pool table, outdoor swimming pool and a foosball table. Great facilities for children. We were pleasantly surprised to have a huge interconnecting room. The two rooms were split with a dining room/kitchen and there were two bathrooms. The only downside to this was the breakfast, we went when it had just opened at 6.30am and the all the food were only lukewarm.

I originally booked this hotel for its Nimmanhaemin Road location and exterior, but my actual stay was a huge disappointment. I honestly don't recommend it, especially for families with children or groups of three. First, let's talk about the location. The listing says Nimmanhaemin Road, but it's actually about 1 kilometer away from the core shopping and sightseeing area of Nimmanhaemin. It's a long walk, making it very inconvenient for getting around and shopping. I feel this is misleading advertising. The room size is the biggest drawback. The single beds are too small; there's absolutely no room to move around when staying with a child. The sofa is tiny, and a family of three will find the living space severely inadequate. The hotel rooms have very poor capacity; it's impossible for more than 3 people to stay comfortably. When we checked in and asked about an extra bed, the front desk immediately told us it couldn't be provided. It's completely unsuitable for groups. Regarding the internal facilities, the bathroom is very cramped, making washing and showering awkward. The pool area is bare, with almost no greenery or landscaping. It's just a stark, open space, so forget about taking nice pool photos – there's absolutely no ambiance. The breakfast experience was also very disappointing. The selection of dishes was extremely limited, and the taste was mediocre. It definitely doesn't justify the price. Compared to many other hotels in Chiang Mai at a similar price point, this one has no advantages in terms of location, room comfort, amenities, or dining. The overall value for money is extremely low. I left feeling very disappointed and honestly suggest everyone look elsewhere.

I came to Chiang Mai for Songkran and chose this hotel based on a friend's recommendation. I was very impressed with the location and the excellent service from the staff. They paid attention to every detail. The manager and owner constantly checked in on me and offered assistance, making me feel like a true relative. The hotel room was clean, and the amenities provided were up to 5-star hotel standards. The bed was soft and comfortable, and I slept soundly. I purchased breakfast separately at the restaurant for 350 baht. It was a set menu with many options to choose from, all incredibly delicious, and you could order more. There are also very cute and friendly cats here. This is one of the hotels I highly recommend staying at in Chiang Mai. I will definitely be back.

My partner and I recently spent two nights at Hotel Aono in Chiang Mai, and it was the perfect peaceful retreat after busy days of exploring. This hotel excels at being a quiet, super clean base of operations with genuine Thai hospitality. The Aesthetic and Room Comfort (4.5/5) The hotel has a wonderful, clean, and minimalist aesthetic—think contemporary Thai design mixed with a touch of Japanese simplicity. Our Deluxe Double Room was spacious and spotlessly clean; honestly, the housekeeping team deserves massive praise, as you could constantly see them ensuring the whole place was immaculate. We appreciated the strong air conditioning and complimentary amenities. If I had one tiny note, the bed was on the firmer side, which is common in Thailand, but worth noting if you prefer a softer mattress. Service and Atmosphere (5/5) The staff here are the true stars. From check-in to check-out, everyone was genuinely friendly, attentive, and quick to help with directions or calling a taxi. Despite being close to the action, the hotel is surprisingly quiet. The garden area and the lovely outdoor swimming pool offer a tranquil place to relax and cool off, which was a real bonus after a hot afternoon. Location (4/5) The location in the Chang Khlan area is fantastic. It's not right inside the Old City walls, which keeps it peaceful, but it’s still highly convenient. We were just a short, easy walk from the famous Chiang Mai Night Bazaar and close enough to head to the Tha Phae Gate quickly. Being right next to the newly revitalized Khlong Mae Kha (Mae Kha Canal) also gave us a lovely place for an evening stroll. Verdict Hotel Aono is excellent value for money. If you are looking for a clean, quiet, and well-located hotel with exceptionally kind staff, this is a brilliant choice for a short city break in Chiang Mai. Highly recommended!

Stay in Villa Mahabhirom was fantastic from the rooms to the service. We were greeted with smiles and warmth by the staff as we arrived at the villa ....special mention to Driver (his name), He is very informative and speaks clearly , The staff including hotel manager Yaya were so pampering. After the checked in we were surprise with 2 birthday cakes, beautifully decorated with fruits and flowers and presented by all the staff of that day with birthday song .. They were so thoughtful and the gesture really touches us. The villa has the most beautiful garden, very well kept with healthy plants and trees. We were always greeted with smiles and cares as we go in and out of the villa, All the staff are very well trained....good job, Yaya, Driver and Eye. We will definitely come again.

If you want a room with good price located inside old town then you should consider this place. However there are some pro and con for your information. Pro: reasonable price. Great location. Friendly staffs swimming pool. Con: room should be a bit more clean than that. AC was really loud.
