"We stayed at this hotel and overall the property itself is nice. The hotel and restaurant are pleasant, well maintained, and the atmosphere is enjoyable. Unfortunately the service was significantly below what one would expect for a 5 star hotel. During our stay the valet misplaced our car key. After some time the hotel eventually found the key they had misplaced. However, instead of simply returning it, we were asked to pay CHF 36 to have it mailed back to us. Considering that our stay cost around CHF 14’000 and that they were the ones who misplaced the key in the first place, this response felt quite inappropriate and disappointing. Another aspect that felt out of place for a hotel in this price category is their upgrade bidding system. It gives the impression that the hotel is trying to extract every last cent from guests rather than focusing on service and hospitality. The property itself is nice, but the service and overall guest experience do not match the level one would expect at this price point."

"We booked this trip a year ago, bucket list. Due to fly out next week and an email today said they can't fulfil their contract, which we have paid for up front. We booked 2 bedrooms and a balcony, we have been offered a 1 bedroom plus sofa bed no balcony."

Mountain Lodge Backpackercamp ★★

"We visited as a school class (30 people). The Mountain Lodge is ideally located, just a five-minute walk from Lenk train station. The lodge's grounds are perfect for games and activities, including table tennis, volleyball, and much more. The facilities, including the kitchen (for self-catering), are functional and adequate. The staff and management provided us with uncomplicated support whenever possible, whether it was regarding entertainment systems like projectors, TVs, and much more. Thank you so much, and we would gladly return."

"The friendliest and most helpful staff I’ve ever come across. On a Saturday night I needed to go to see a doctor, they found the one in the region on call and then the manager, Bjorn Heimagartner, drove me and refused to be compensated. After I was better, they helped me catch a train, called to make sure I caught it and made a special after hours dinner for me and friends. The very best of humanity. Many, many thanks!"
