"Pros: The staff were wonderful. The views from the 6th floor were spectacular. The room was basic and clean. The spa area was lovely, particularly the outdoor pool and new sauna. The hotel has lots of character. Breakfast was OK and included, bacon sausage and eggs. The bus stop is right outside. Cons: 5 minute walk to ski lift - 10-15 minute walk back due to it being up hill and in ski boots - there was an hourly free ski bus. The evening meal was awful - ridiculously limited choice and poor quality. The rooms were dated and tired. Tips: Don't take the dinner included option Pool opens 8:30am - 9pm Pool gets busy after 5pm No children allowed in outside pool Breakfast 7am-10am Dinner 6pm-9pm Robes are CHF5O deposit each"

"Booked very last minute as it was a 5 min drive from Leysin Tobboganing Park. Very reasonably priced , free parking next to the hotel , bus stop right at the door if needed. Rooms are a little dated but have everything you need and it was very clean with a balcony, wonderful Mountain View and continental breakfast was included in the price. Small town so close to restaurants etc and a lovely children’s park just down the road. The lady on reception was very helpful and welcoming , we would stay again."

"Booked here as my husband wanted to look at mountains while having a morning coffee and wow it certainly delivered that. Views are amazing and the balcony got the sun all day. We booked a comfort room. It had 2 bedrooms, one had bunk beds for the kids. The kitchen was well equipped including an oven and coffee machine. The balcony was great and could comfortably fit all 4 of us 2 adults and 2 teens. As well as table and chair to eat at, there were also deckchairs to lounge in. The staff are great, very helpful and friendly. You can also pay and get pastries delivered on a morning. You just pop your form into the reception the day before. The only minor issue is the car park is down the hill, not a problem for me but the kids had a moan. You can take the car up to drop off stuff but then it needs to be parked in the car park. Although the views are fab the downside to this, is that it's located up a few steep hills, going down is ok but it's quite a trek going up. Phew. There is plenty of parking in Leysin for when we were feeling lazy. There are a couple of supermarkets in Leysin, we preferred the Coop and some lovely restaurants. We particularly loved the Turkish Street food and kids loved the pancakes at Creperie des Alpes. We also took the chair lift from the village and drove down into Aigle where there was a festival on and had a great time. Leysin was a great base for exploring the places we wanted to visit. Including Montreux on lake Geneva. We hired a car and never had a problem parking anywhere."

"This hotel is clearly catering mostly to large tourist groups so this is not the place to expect very personalized service. However the staff was nice both at the reception and in the restaurant. The buffet-style meals, especially the breakfast were on the other hand truly chaotic, if arriving after a large group, one would only find empty trays. If hiking in the area and only in need of a reasonably priced quick sleep, then this is a good option, however not ideal if somebody is looking for hotel pampering."
