If you wanted to go out, they made you wait at the front desk and called the police. I went through the terrible experience of being followed and monitored by two police officers all day. Maybe it's because I'm a South Korean who doesn't have a good relationship with North Korea, but it was very difficult. When I opened the window of my room on the second floor, it was blocked by the back of the hotel sign... blocking the beautiful Yalu River in front."
