Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and the bed massive and a great nights sleep! Everything you could possibly need in the room. Very handy for Farringdon and a delicious breakfast the next day. We frequented the Fox and Anchor 40 years ago - a huge improvement from these days!

We had an excellent stay and have no complaints at all. Check-in was easy, and the staff was great! The room was amazing. We booked the feature boutique, and the amenities were top-notch. Heated floors, rainfall shower, garden terrace, skylight. The pub is fun and has wonderful food. The location is central and fairly quiet. Plenty of bars and restaurants around and walkable to many attractions. I had my 14-year-old son with me, and he got the sofa bed. We both loved the Fox and Anchor! I will definitely stay here again when I'm in London. I can't recommend this enough.

We received a fantastic welcome at the Fox & Anchor from all the staff. A fabulous pub with a great menu. It is in a great location, near 2 tube stations which meant all the attractions were not too far away. We stayed for 2 nights and we were upgraded to a beautiful suite - thank you. I would highly recommend.

I never leave hotel reviews but after staying here I really felt I had to. I booked this hotel after reading some of the great reviews and ratings it had but gosh what a disappointment. The rooms are advertised as having bathtubs, they clearly do not! Secondly, if you have problems with stairs and luggage be warned and do not book! There are steep stairs all the way to the top floor. I was expecting a lovely boutique hotel room but instead I got quite the opposite. The carpets are filthy, the furniture is old and dated and clearly in need of replacement. The toilet seat didn't fit the loo, when I mentioned this to staff about it sliding all over the place they said this was normal?! The shower had mouldy bits in the tray which was disgusting and the water in the sink didn't flow through. The TV is not opposite the bed but placed on the side wall which let's face it nobody wants a sore neck! The staff are not very helpful and instead treat you like your an object rather than a human. It was my first time staying at a Fox and Anchor hotel and it will certainly be my last. Never again. A travelodge beats this place!

This is a lovely and relaxed 6-bedroom boutique hotel, with the bedrooms above one of the nicest old-style pubs that I have ever been in, in London. The food, drink and service in the pub were all excellent. The rooms are spread over 3 storeys, up a narrow staircase, with 2 rooms on each floor. If you're not nimble with stairs, ask for a room on the 1st floor. Our room was on the 3rd floor, so we got plenty of exercise up and down. The room has a lovely old feel about it, but has modern, luxury furnishings. It was very comfortable, with all necessary amenities, although the pillows were too soft for our liking. It's on a quiet street, with The Charterhouse, and a small park within a minute's walk. There's also a Tesco Express, Co-Op, and several restaurant options within a few minutes walk. I'd recommend Gail's cafe nearby for good coffee and pastries. Farringdon rail station is 5 minutes away, for good access to other parts of the city.

Bad sleep because aircon unit was faulty (producing loud buzzing noise intermittently through the night). Would do this even when off. Reported to staff but no repair possible because it was weekend. Bought earplugs for second night. Room needed work (stained carpets and walls). Bed was comfy and shower was good. Room was Barbican Room.

Really comfortable stay. Room was well equipped with a massive roll top bath. Great for a soak after a long day of tourism. Shower was powerful and hot. Good stock of teas and coffees and snacks. Minibar had something for everyone. Staff were brilliant, good food and drink selection in the pub too. All in all, a brilliant stay. Cheers.

Excellent food! The beef carpaccio was a real highlight. The bed and pillows are super comfy. The air conditioning works very well. Large selection of snacks/drinks in minibar. One underground stop for London St Pancras. The staff are really the highlight. Big shout out to Weronica and also Chris and Martin for their welcoming and positive demeanour. You made us feel really welcome. P.S: You're in central london in this pub hotel so bring some earphones! We'll definitely return when in London next!
