Best Western the Hatfield Hotel ★★★
"The hotel is in a beautiful location right by the seafront with a lovely patio overlooking the sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful, it felt like they genuinely cared. This included the reception staff, the bar staff and the staff serving the breakfast each morning. The food selection was varied and the hot cooked breakfast was of good quality. The room was clean and comfortable, a fan was provided during the hot weather. When we arrived late at night, the car park was already full, however we were allowed to park our large touring bike right in front of the hotel where it was safe and well lit. We will definitely come back."

Lord Kitcheners Guest House ★★★
"I will start with the good things. My daughter loved the decor downstairs. Breakfast was nice, plenty to eat and choose from. Staff friendly. Rooms a bit tired, not really in keeping with the rest of the property. Beds are very soft, and the bathroom has a non obscured window, which makes it not very private. The shower wasn't very powerful. the bathroom could do with updating. If the window is open in the bedroom, terrible drain smell. Parking, okay, 1st come 1st serve."

Wherry Hotel ★★★
"A really good hotel with basic but spacious and comfortable rooms, most with good views across the broads. Offering decent food and drink choices on site, the evening meal was fulfilling if not exciting and the cooked breakfast was really, really good. Car parking (free) is readily available and the service received from all of the Wherry team was first class."

"We held our wedding here on 7 August 2026. We poured days of work into decorating and preparing our buffet, even offering our own food to staff as a thank you. We were told we could not enter to decorate until late on the Thursday — yet on morning after our wedding , another party was allowed in from 6:30am, hours before our agreed 11:00am finish time. Our belongings were moved into a corner without notice; our decorated barn was accessed and cleared during our reception; handcrafted items were damaged; and carefully placed decor was discarded. Several guests also reported staff being rude to them. When we spoke to management, we were dismissed with no apology. Stressed and upset, we checked out shortly after breakfast instead of staying as planned. We have contacted management directly to seek a fair resolution. This review reflects our honest experience — we simply want other couples to know what can happen."

HK Rooms - Self Catering Rooms ★★★
"We stayed for a family wedding and when booking the owners were so helpful, given that one family member had different requirements to the rest of us. They even told us that if you booked direct with themselves rather than one of the major booking sites breakfast would be included rather than paying a fee. On arrival there was parking directly outside and the inside and outside of the hotel is spotless and the decor in keeping with the age of the building. It’s so nice inside with a lounge, breakfast area, and an honestly bar. The decor is very homely. We ate a takeaway one evening and the owners provided us with plates etc. There is a self service area near the bedrooms with fresh water and housekeeping bits and pieces, great idea. The hotel itself is just across the road from the beach and about a ten minute walk from pubs. The room was immaculate with a very large en-suite bathroom with shower, tv and tea making facilities, toiletries and a hairdryer. Breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries and cereals to help yourself to and then the option of also ordering hot food. The owners are very friendly and have a chat and are always on hand for anything else you need. I can’t recommend this place enough and we will certainly visit again."

Britten House ★★★★
"Beautiful house with a beautiful view of the sea. Plenty of parking. Room was clean but bathroom needs a thorough scrub. Decor and furnishings are dated and a musty smell is very noticeable on the stairs. Never saw any staff all the time we were there. "
