"Well located and nice lobby. The all day coffee machine was broken but I did enjoy the gratis bubbles in the afternoon . The room was pretty small but efficient but my big complaint were the large number of teeny ants..I first noticed them on the floor by the bed then again in the corner of the bathroom floor by the shower. Kind of grossed me out but other than that a fine stay."

"This place is a little gem. 10 minutes drive from Lucca and a wonderful base to see the sites around Tuscany. We stayed here for a week and got home yesterday. The staff are amazing a shout out to all the staff in the restaurant at breakfast and evening who we have chats and lots of laughter with they really are a credit to this place. The reception staff were all amazing also nothing was to much trouble always had a smile on their face. The room was lovely and big, beautiful bathroom and amazing windows with shutters. Thank you all for an amazing week at your Tuscany Villa. Donna & Phil 😊"

The hotel is stunning with huge rooms, lovely pool, great views and the most amazing friendly staff who really do go out of their way to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable! The kitchen catered amazing for gluten free diet with the best breakfasts ever and different each day! We hired a car and explored the countryside, Lucca and Cinque Terre! "The property is in a great location, easy to reach by parking just outside the walls and very convenient for exploring the city on foot. The hotel is clean and the rooms well-appointed. We also used the hotel's free bikes to tour the streets and above the city walls. The highlight is the reception desk; Alessandro was very welcoming and helpful in offering us advice on how to spend our weekend in Lucca, from what to visit to where to eat. He introduced us to wonderful places and people."

"We had a wonderful stay at Villa Marta. I would definitely stay here again. Pros include: loved the chapel suite, swimming pool great, great breakfast, amazing outdoor eating area, very friendly staff especially Roberto who literally made our trip, in fact we were quite emotional when we had to say goodbye to him, he made our trip go from a 4 to a 5. Evening meals were really good, especially the fish pasta. Cons include: not enough sunbeds by the pool and upon arrival it would have been nice to have been offered a complimentary drink and also offered to get help with the suitcases. Also one small point, on the corner of the swimming pool there was a dip in the ground and we saw 2 guests fall because of this, one injuring herself quite bad, so a quick fix is recommended."

Other than the beds the furnishings are of poor quality and are the same in the other rooms and common areas, not what you would expect in a small 5 star hotel. The restaurant is mediocre at best. "We loved our stay at Preziosa as it's a beautiful and historic villa and a very special place to stay. The attention to detail is what makes this such a great experience and the hosts Barbara and Gunther are lovely and really go the extra mile to make sure you have a wonderful time. The rooms are gorgeous, with handpainted frescos on the wall and comfortable, proper, large double beds. We were lucky enough to stay in the Royal Suite and it is the most fabulous room overlooking the garden so I highly recommend this if you are celebrating a special occasion. The Villa is in a quiet spot with a beautiful garden and pool and as it only accomodates a small number of guests then it feels very chilled out and it is a great place to relax and unwind. Breakfast includes buffet and cooked options and it is served in the garden under the shade. Then in the afternoon they offer a light lunch and serve cocktails and drinks. On a practical note I really liked that the bathroom had a good quality hairdryer, magnifying mirror and hair straighteners as it means I didn't have to bring these with me. 5 stars for sure!"
