Great location for this hotel, it’s only a 5 minute walk from the Main Street Gran Via. The room was clean upon checking in. My only concern was no air conditioning during winter months.

I stayed at Chic & Basic Dot and found it to be a solid option, especially for short stays. It’s a small boutique design hotel, with very nice interiors and well-kept facilities.
The design is modern and pleasant, and the hotel feels comfortable and functional. That said, there are a few amenities that could improve the experience, such as a coffee machine or a kettle for hot water in the room.
The location is excellent: right in front of El Corte Inglés and right in the city centre, just a short walk from Sol and Gran Vía, which makes it extremely convenient.
Overall, it’s a very good option to keep in mind, especially when travelling to Madrid for business, with friends or short trips.

The location is near perfect. The rooms are functional, perfectly adequate, and clean. They even upgraded me to a room with a terrace. Breakfast is served in the bar located right downstairs, connected to the hotel. My only complaint is that it starts at 8 am, which is a bit late, and they're extremely slow... I'll definitely be back. The hotel offers excellent value for money and a perfect location!

Very close to Puerta del Sol. The room was really small. I understand that the city center is very expensive. This hotel is very cost-effective. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the Prado Museum. I am satisfied. I didn't take pictures of the room. The breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is in a very good location.
The most lively place in Madrid is just downstairs. You can reach various attractions on foot and it is very close to the subway station, although we did not take it.
The shower room has a lot of water and the hot water is hot enough, but it fluctuates when used.
There is no electric kettle provided, but you can ask for hot water in the cafe downstairs, although it may feel strange to Europeans?
Overall, it is highly recommended and I will stay again if I have the chance.

It's so-so. The location is great, but the area across the street is too chaotic.

The price-performance ratio is good and the location is very convenient. It is very close to Puerta del Sol. However, there is no hot water kettle. Hotels in several cities in Spain have hot water kettles, but this one does not provide them.

If you're looking for the perfect romantic stay in Madrid, Chic & Basic Dot is a true hidden gem. Perfectly located in the heart of Sol, you're surrounded by the vibrant energy of Madrid. From historic landmarks and cultural attractions to incredible restaurants, shopping and nightlife, everything is just a short stroll away. From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed with genuine warmth by the reception team. They are friendly, attentive, and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable. Their local knowledge is invaluable, and they're always happy to recommend places to visit, eat or explore. The rooms are stylish, modern, and incredibly comfortable, with a warm colour palette that creates an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. One unique feature is the open-concept shower, designed without a separate door, adding a fun and romantic touch that's perfect for couples looking for a special getaway. Every detail at Chic & Basic Dot feels thoughtfully designed to create a memorable experience. Between the exceptional service, unbeatable location, and charming ambience, this hotel truly stands out. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone visiting Madrid, especially couples looking for a stylish, romantic city break. I'll definitely be back!
