Hotel Ristorante Borgo la Tana ★★★

📍 Via dell'Amicizia, 22, Castrocucco di Maratea, Maratea

"We spent a day in this hotel, enjoying the swimming pool and restaurant. It is a perfect service, very clean and clean pool, with very careful and friendly staff."

La Locanda Delle Donne Monache

La Locanda Delle Donne Monache ★★★★

📍 Via Carlo Mazzei, 4, Maratea

"Elegant hotel in the hills with beautiful views. Our room was well appointed and had a comfy large bed and balcoy, as well as a seperate bathroom with great view. Complimentary tea and coffee and a fridge were also available, as well as a safe and towels for the pool and terrace area. The village itself is nice and quaint with an array of restaurants just off the main road and square. Concierge and allocated parking and all the staff were very polite and helpful, and provided a good and varied breakfast."

Grand Hotel Pianeta Maratea Resort

Grand Hotel Pianeta Maratea Resort ★★★★

📍 Contrada Santa Caterina, 50, Maratea

"We don't usually write reviews, but we want to make an exception for this structure comparable to a Bella Signora, polite and kind. The charm is timeless. The view is unique in the world. There is a lot of work to do, but I must say with all honesty that we were pleasantly impressed by the staff first, and then, the beach. Wonderful. Nice shuttle service. 15 minute journey that is absolutely worth doing. We want to go back immediately"

Santavenere Hotel

Santavenere Hotel ★★★★★

📍 Via Conte Stefano Rivetti, 1, Maratea

"The location is amazing, the hotel and its grounds are beautiful, and the staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel aims to provide a luxury experience for its guests (part of the leading hotels of the world) - and it is priced accordingly! - but it falls short of expectations. Service is slow and erratic, particularly at the pool restaurant. Food is not so good: our meals were very very average, the menu of the Carrubo restaurant is limited and does not change from lunch to dinner. Furthermore, our dinner was ruined by non-stop intrusive live accordion playing. The pool is lovely but there aren't nearly enough sunbeds and loungers, and there isn't a separate pool for children. The beach area is lovely, and would be very calm and relaxing if they didn't play very loud (and awful) music all day- even after lunch and when there is no one at the bar. The hotel management talks about re-creating the feeling of La Dolce Vita, which is an interesting concept given the backdrop of the hotel and its beautiful grounds. However, someone needs to tell the marketing team that simply playing 1950s Italian songs and having an accordion player accompany dinner does not really transport guests back to a golden age... Last but not least the hotel smells like a French boudoir! Maybe it would be better to use some more discreet scent instead of the far too strong perfume that suffocates the guests. So overall a lovely hotel in a lovely location but definitely not one pf the leading hotels of the world. Very far from it."

Hotel Murmann

Hotel Murmann ★★★★

📍 Via Santavenere, 8, Maratea

"We stopped by Maratea for a night in April and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is incredibly convenient - a quick walk to the beach. The service was outstanding; we felt like we were the only guests in the hotel. The manager went out of his way to ensure that we were comfortable and cared for. The room was clean and spacious. We plan on staying at Murmann for longer next time we are in Maratea."

Hotel Villa Delle Meraviglie ★★★

📍 SS 18, Km 230, Maratea

"What a wonderful hotel: beautiful location, lots of green, acces to the beautiful rocky beach. The room with terrace was great. A bit dated but the bed was good, as was the bathroom. Good breakfast on a terrace with seasight. Good parking. The personnel was super friendly. Highly recommended!"

Hotel Martino

Hotel Martino ★★★

📍 SS 18 Tirrena Inferiore, 239, Maratea

"This lovely hotel is located at Marina de Maratea 5 kms south of Maratea proper (and has a separate train station that many trains do. It stop at so check your train ticket!). The hotel does have a shuttle and they kindly picked us up from Maratea station. Rooms are very pleasant and in really good order. The restaurant onsite is excellent. Breakfasts were delightful as was the dinner we had there. Staff were super helpful and friendly. The hotel has a private beach, but there is a public one close by. Wifi in rooms can be weak at times but is strong up in the reception lounge. The hotel has a great indoor pool and bar area. All up if you opt to stay near the beach then this hotel at Marina de M is a fantastic option, we really enjoyed it."

Hotel Ristorante Borgo la Tana ★★★
"We stayed a week in this hotel, with a friendly and friendly owner, and will provide us with information on the beaches and places to visit. The hotel is a spacious room with a clean and comfortable room, a semi-restaurant with a discrete formula with a menu alternative to the card. We thank all the staff for their professionalism."

La Locanda Delle Donne Monache ★★★★
"A stage of our road trip to Sicily from Rome led us to La Locanda delle Donne Monache, where we stayed for two nights. We were delighted that our agent had booked us into this small and very charming hotel, located above the ancient village of Maratea. It's a beautiful former convent, located high on the hillside above the village. It had been very hot the day we arrived and our lovely cool room, and the clean and inviting pool were very welcome after a long day of travelling! The hotel was a little difficult to find initially, but if you're arriving by car, the best advice is to keep following the road up! There is a private car park for the hotel, but it's easiest to take the car up to the hotel and then the staff will take it and park it for you, as access is quite tight. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, and helped us with our cases on arrival and departure. Our room was a good size, and had a large bathroom, which was decorated in a more traditional style rather than modern minimalist (but it's a traditional and very old building, so that was ok!), but was very clean. We also had our own private terrace, with a beautiful view overlooking the village and the hillside. A nice spot to start the day. The air conditioning was very welcome in the hot weather! Breakfast is served overlooking the swimming pool and is a small but good selection of food. If you wanted anything cooked to order, it was available on request. The hotel doesn't serve dinner, but the staff are happy to recommend places to eat in the village or down in the lower part of Maratea, by the beach, which is about ten minutes away by car. We found plenty of choices were available as we explored the streets and alleyways of the lovely village centre. We loved this little hotel - the staff were very kind and friendly, and the building itself is very charming, but be aware that access might be difficult if you have mobility issues. The pool is a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine and the views over the village. We recommend the hotel and hope to visit again. Tip: If you want to go up to see Maratea's very own statue of Christ the Redeemer (worth the trip), take your car up to the car park around 5 minutes drive away, and take the short shuttle bus ride. It's possible to get there direct on foot, but it's a tough 50 minute walk up, especially in the heat. The views from there are amazing!"

Grand Hotel Pianeta Maratea Resort ★★★★
"I booked directly with the hotel and received a favorable room rate. We travelled by train and took a taxi from the station. The hotel is in a very elevated position above the bay. The bay is beautiful but we were pretty much stranded without transport. The following day we walked downhill to Maratea along the road but discovered the walking trail to Christ the Redeemer statue for our return, uphill walk, so we took that until we were close to the hotel. It was a much nicer walk. In total, including a short walk around the town, we walked 9km. I had booked a suite. It was large and pretty basic but this is reflected in the price. If the suite had been more fancy, the price would have been more fancy. The terrace was equally huge with beautiful views of the bay. The suite was impeccably clean and kept so by the loveliest of chamber maids. We happened to be staying when there was a company convention in situ. There were 300 company guests and then my husband and me. It was hilarious. We are not Italian but watched on with interest. Not being Italian and not being part of the company convention, we were pretty easy to spot. Despite, or perhaps because of the convention, we felt that we were known by the staff and were treated very well as they clearly recognised that we were somewhat outnumbered. (150:1) The food was fine and the dining staff very pleasant. The swimming pool was a real treat. Hats are compulsory. Beatrice at reception was particularly pleasant and helpful while the manager was approachable, professional, helpful and also quite witty! So why not 5*? I'm not sure. There were small things that simply didn't suit us. E.g. a drinks machine at breakfast which does reduce the personal contact with staff and makes the dining experience feel unnecessarily impersonal. We will look back on our stay very positively and will laugh at how we ended up in an Italian car-parts company convention for a weekend."

"Nice looking hotel on the outside, pool area is comfortable to relax by. The rooms inside are fairly small and quite a bit older. Bed was ok but not the most comfortable and only had a sheet on top no duvet. Bathroom was tiny – no storage or bench space which made it difficult. Breakfast was excellent, staff bring your choices out fresh and there is a wide variety of options to choose from. They offer pool side drinks in the afternoon which is great. We were charged for borrowing pool towels to take off premises for 2 hours. However this wasn’t explained at the time and was a shock to pay this on check out. No shuttle available in June 2026 which was also disappointing. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the port where there are a lot more restaurants to choose from."

"This was our second visit to this wonderful paradise, just a few minutes from Maratea and a short drive to Christ the Redeemer statue. The entire hotel is calm, clean, comfortable, and relaxing, and a great breakfast is served at the adjacent restaurant. We recommend getting a room with a balcony and so you can watch the gorgeous sunset over the Mediterranean in the evenings, and sometimes see dolphins splashing in the mornings The housekeeping staff is thorough and attentive, but really the staff is wonderful and welcoming, especially Michela. "B&B was found by chance at the last minute because we had to stop to go to north Italy. The lady is super nice and available. The hotel is in the historic centre, near a parking area about 200 m where you can just leave the car. Breakfast included in the price, abundant and wonderful. Super cleaning. I advise you and we will certainly return if we should return to Maratea."
