"We had our wedding at Maes Manor Hotel in August 2025, and from the moment we arrived the evening before until the day after the wedding, everything was perfect. The staff were incredible—so accommodating and worked tirelessly with us throughout the entire two days. The wedding breakfast and evening BBQ buffet were delicious, and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful the food was. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the team. The grounds are stunning and provided the perfect setting for some amazing photos, while the hotel itself was kept spotless throughout our stay. Overall, our experience at Maes Manor Hotel was one we will treasure forever."

"Booked this hotel as we could not get any in our chosen location due to a number of events happening in the city at the same time. We were pleasantly surprised by it as we were not expecting much due to the price. On arrival, we were greeted warmly by the lady on reception and she gave us all the information needed. The reception area was clean and actually smelled quite nice. There were supplies of tea, coffee and milk to help yourself to should you need more than is supplied in the room. They had a microwave oven for guests to use and even had sachets of salt and pepper! Heading to our room, the corridors were again clean and smelled the same as reception. The room itself was a good size and the bathroom actually had a bath, unlike some hotels we have stayed in. There is soap and shampoo provided as well as plastic cups for water. There is a kettle, TV and hairdryer in the room. We had a family room which had a srandard size double bed, a single bed and a pull out bed from under the double. Not the biggest family room we've stayed in but perfectly fine with space for luggage, an open wardrobe with shelves and hangers. We had concerns that as it situated in the motorway service that it may be noisy but our room was at the back and overlooked trees and grass. I would expect it to be noisy in the front facing rooms. It is right next to the services and has the obligatory fast food outlets, coffee shop and WH Smiths, which stocked a wide range of products but a bit pricey! Our only negative, apart from the pricey shop, was our hairdryer did not work, which we only discovered in the morning but the lady cleaning the rooms allowed us to access the room directly opposite to use that one, so all was good. She did apologise a couple of times too. Would we stay again? Yes, if we can't get to stay in our preferred location, as it's not far away from Cardiff, where we have to visit every month."

"Lovely welcoming staff, and nice clean hostel with a cosy lounge. I had a nice warm en suite and loved it. Whilst fabulously out of the way and quiet, it’s easy to get to with regular cheap Trawcymru buses right to the hostel from Cardiff, Newtown or Hereford. Great place to star gaze as when it’s dark it’s really dark!! Lots of opportunities for walking too. Am returning soon!"
