"Newer hotel with nice modern room with high ceilings. Good bathroom with large shower. Hot water and pressure was good too. Toiletries and hair dryer provided. Wifi was good. Beautiful big pool but we did not use it. Easy free parking in hotel lot. The room had a refrigerator but I’m not sure why because the hotel has a policy of no outside food in the building! This was the one big negative. The hotel has a restaurant. There are no others you can walk to. Excellent buffet breakfast with lots of choices in the morning. The hotel is located near the autoroute but away from Meknes centre. It’s on a busy street. Our room faced the pool so the noise was mitigated. It did not bother me but I could see it bothering others. You also can hear your neighbours tv through the wall. I would have rated this hotel higher except for the food policy. It is good for a 1 or 2 night stay for those arriving by car."

"We had a reservation, yet we were refused entry because we are an unmarried couple. "You should have asked me, I would have told you; the authorities don't mess around with that." We traveled throughout Morocco and never encountered this problem. Establishments usually specify it on their websites! In 2025, in a tourist city like Meknes, we were somewhat surprised. If they had simply stated this, we wouldn't have booked. We can certainly understand the rules when they are clearly explained. Thank you for not offering any assistance; we left with our suitcases after only a few minutes."

"The riad is ideally located near the medina and the imperial city. In addition, it is located on the edge of a quiet square. The riad is decorated in a traditional way and has been well renovated. The welcome is kind and appropriate. The rooms are quite comfortable, nothing more. For the “luxury suite”, the bedding is of average quality. The bathroom needs to be renovated, the water flow is insufficient. Several lamps do not work. The breakfast is plentiful, but the same every day. The wifi speed is good. The air conditioning works well."

"Basic hotel located in the middle of nowhere! Nothing much to do, no restaurants or shops in the neighborhood. It’s mainly a transit hotel for tour groups. Friendly reception. Rooms are basic, beds are small and low. In February it was cold inside the rooms. Bathroom is old. Towels need to be replaced. It’s difficult to control the water temperature. Dinner and breakfast in the roof top restaurant were reasonable."

"Via the app, we were asked what time we thought we would arrive for check-in. Upon arrival, a man was waiting for us outside and immediately escorted us to another riad. For unclear reasons, we could not stay at Riad Zyna, and our stay was rebooked to Riad Ritaj. We returned to Zyna anyway, and things still remained unclear there. We did not find this a pleasant state of affairs. And we are now reading in the reviews that this happens frequently. Therefore, our advice: DO NOT BOOK HERE."
