Rosewood Miramar Beach ★★★★★

"Location was not best. Service not very accommodating."

San Ysidro Ranch ★★★★

"It would be difficult to imagine a more exquisite, peaceful, unpretentious, yet luxurious getaway than the San Ysidro Ranch. Nestled on the upslope of lush Montecito, the experience begins with the lavender-lined entrance drive and cobblestone pavement. The various one- and two-bedroom cottages are sprinkled inconspicuously throughout the property, Your own nameplate alongside the front door greets you as you enter your cottage. Once inside, you find a delightful mix of old and new--carefully selected antique furniture, flatscreen TVs, lavish baths (with indoor and outdoor showers) and your own very private outdoor jetted pool. The shelves in the living room are stocked with interesting books, and there is a wonderful sense of calm and serenity. Dining is at the Stonehouse is a delightful experience. My wife and I loved sitting under the arched terrace and looking beyond lush vegetation to the Pacific Ocean below. The food and service were superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning at some time in the future."
