Manava Beach Resort & Spa Moorea ★★★★
"It's a piece of paradise, unbelievable service, every person who works there is helpful, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure you feel at home .. definitely recommend staying there. You can snorkel right there - the bungalos are on the edge of a small coral riff"
Hotel Hibiscus ★★
"My husband and I have just returned from a 6 night stay at Hotel Hibiscus. We stayed in one of the traditional style "fare" bungalows, and were very impressed. Our holiday was to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary (our honeymoon was also on Moorea, but at the now closed Hotel Moorea Village) and staff at the Hibiscus had left a fruit platter in our room in honour of our special day. The staff are lovely, the restaurant superb, and the sunset to die for. I would however, recommend that guests bring a spray can of mozzie repelent (coils are provided in the rooms, but a spray would be more effective). "
Cook's Bay Hotel & Suites ★★★
"Very modern, clean and chic hotel. We loved it and have travelled extensively. Snorkel right from the beach. Kayaks free to guests. Gorgeous spot to see the sun set with happy hour! Thank you Cooks Bay! 😀☀️🐠🐢"
Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort and Spa ★★★★★
"Aside from the accommodations, the cost of meals and tours were reasonable and adequate, and the amenities were good. The bungalows were very satisfactory, but the restaurant was disappointing. The romantic dinner felt tacky and not very private."
Niu Beach Hôtel Moorea ★★★
"Great spot. Great location. Really nice grounds and rooms. Tasty breakfast. Wonderful sunset spot and wonderful snorkeling directly in front of the property. Would be wonderful if there was some loaner snorkel gear. Also, paddleboards would be nice in addition to the kayaks."
Moorea Sunset Beach ★★★★
"Burns beach, beach bar nearby where you can book excursions"
Hôtel Fenua Mata'i'oa ★★★★
"My wife and me expected a nice and peaceful journey, but the welcome was horrible. After my wife pointed out the humidity level of the facilities, the manager started to litteraly fight with her, saying "don't come here, don't ask for this, you are not welcome if you start like this". So, 1st expect a 90% humidity level, without any fresh air or dehumidifier device, bathrooms in the bedroom with no ventilation (is this legal ?), a lot of moisture, 2cd expect a lot of mosquitos, and eventually expect the most despictable manager I have ever seen. No coffee or tea for our breakfeat (insane !), you cannot ask because people are elsewhere, very bad mood and energy everywhere. It seems the employees suffer a toxic management, the same people doing 3 or 4 jobs at the same time (barmaid = receptionist = cleaning lady = eveything else). The location was ok, very nice view in front of the lagoon, but how to fully enjoy it, I will never know. Avoid this location, this hostel is no more than a 2* + toxic management. Hope it helps."
Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea Beach Resort ★★★★★
"Beautiful over water bungalow with amazing corals right by the door step, we enjoy snorkeling in the early morning and late afternoon. Great room and hotel facilities, super friendly staff."
Moorea Island Beach Hotel ★★★
"This was a phenomenal 50th bday experience...weather not great on Tahiti but on this side of Moorea island, after a ferry ride, the rainy season rain didnt ever quite reach us. The views from the lobby are what first get you- they have a whole quiet magazine-worthy, coral-laden, turquoise acqua lagoon, away from the busy excursion-laden channels to the right. The staff, especially the main host was very welcoming and friendly. The tropical bungalow had great set back views of the sea and was a good size- maybe a bit small for some, but it felt cute and adequate. Shower was hot and sofa bed a welcome addition as the mattress was too hard for me. The surrounding area has some good places to pearl shop, but we struggled with the eateries- as you know polynesia is super-expensive, but sometimes the food isnt that great. Lots of raw fish and supermarkets to buy more expensive groceries, but what to eat was a stress. The breakfast at the hotel was ok, but dont expect big portions or daily difference. The french feel was nice, but we struggled with the eggs and sameness of each day. If you want bigger and variety maybe this isnt the place for you, but the guest use of the kitchen is a nice addition as everyone was buying groceries to then store in personal fridges and eat-you can buy great sushi from someone who advertises in the hotel. If you want stunning views, pristine coral, a reef you can kayak to and an abundance of colourful fish, then this place is unspoilt and gorgeous- everyone seemed to understand the ethos of relaxation so quietness and solitude is big here. The free kayaks and bikes were so appreciated and we hired scooters nearby to see the look out and eco museum. They are a great way to see the rest of the island. The kayaks were always in use so get them early- you can kayak to nearby stunning beaches and on the first day we saw a flock of eagle rays, sea turtles and blacktip reef sharks- we were stunned by how much marine life there was so close by-the views by the way are astounding- we have travelled the world but in polynesia the views and terrain is unparalleled. Just incredible! One day a local even went out with some dead fish and we fed two rays in front of the hotel- we were speechless. We would definitely return here as the island is beautiful and less commercial than Bora Bora and others."
