FRIENDLIEST Hotel in China! Honestly, these were the kindest hotel owners we've ever had the pleasure to encounter. Kind and thoughtful and helpful. The rooms were super clean and quiet. Breakfast was an absolute feast...plus it was prepared early in the morning due to our early train departure. The hotel's location in Qiantong Town was perfect and scenic. And the nightly hotel rates were very affordable. I definitely recommend staying here.

First, the pros: 1️⃣ The pool was better than I expected; the water quality was decent, and I didn't need sunscreen in the shade in the afternoon! 2️⃣ The service was excellent, not overly enthusiastic, just right. 3️⃣ The bathtub deserves full marks! The room provided disposable bathtub covers, so hygiene wasn't a concern! Now, the cons: 1️⃣ The sofa and tabletops had many old stains. 2️⃣ The gym was old and dilapidated; the yoga mats were crumbling badly, and the stationary bikes were difficult to ride. 3️⃣ There wasn't much to do nearby; it was only suitable for relaxing.

We also encountered an unexpected power outage in parts of the Dongqian Lake resort area, which caused some inconvenience. However, Manager Lou and her team handled the emergency promptly and thoughtfully, taking care of my elderly parents. Her attitude and professionalism were commendable, and the other staff members also did a great job with the details. It's worth mentioning that the hotel offers cultural and entertainment experiences like Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese exercise), Song Dynasty tea ceremony, and deer park fun, which effectively enriched our holiday. These activities are suitable for both seniors and children. The location is also great: near Hanling Old Street in Dongqian Lake, about a ten-minute walk, and convenient for reaching other attractions. I hope the hotel continues to improve, with timely updates to some of the facilities. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

The front desk staff were very friendly; on our first day, the receptionist even escorted us to the elevator. The room had a great view, and it will be even better once the construction on this side of the bridge is finished. The latex pillows ensured a good night's sleep every night, and breakfast was abundant. The downsides are that the room wasn't very well-ventilated and had a slight odor, and the air conditioning wasn't very strong. For a short holiday stay, this place offers excellent value for money. We chose this hotel for a rafting and summer getaway. It's quite remote, a drive of several kilometers up a mountain road after entering the ancient village. The entire route is very natural; if it weren't for the hotel's signs, we almost would have turned back. After about ten minutes of driving, the view suddenly opened up, and a large wooden house served as the hotel lobby. Each guest room is scattered throughout the mountainside, connected by wooden boardwalks. Along the paths, we saw lizards, squirrels, and various insects, and occasionally even water snakes in the pools. In the evenings, we listened to the chirping of insects, and in the mornings, the calls of birds – truly a unique natural experience. In the stream next to the lobby, there were schools of small fish, and my son got hooked on fishing and actually caught quite a few. The only minor drawback is that the hotel facilities are a bit outdated.

The breakfast offered a rich selection and good quality. My butler, Xiao Zhong, provided thoughtful and strong service throughout, making the entire experience very pleasant. She's very friendly, helping with your luggage and greeting you warmly every time you see her in the morning. The cabins are quite unique, with a great mountain environment. At night, you'll find small geckos and large spiders in your room, and in the morning, you'll see all sorts of insects. Those who enjoy nature can choose the cabins, while those who aren't accustomed to staying in the mountains can opt for the hotel rooms up the mountain. They're all shared, and breakfast is served on the first floor. The hot springs are also very clean, with different types of pools, and very relaxing.
