"Although the hotel facilities are a bit dated, the service absolutely deserves a five-star rating. The front desk staff were polite and thoughtful, and service requests were promptly attended to. Since there were three of us staying, they generously provided an extra breakfast. The breakfast was excellent, offering a rich variety of options compared to other hotels of a similar standard. Even for someone like me who is a picky eater, there was plenty to choose from, and I felt completely satisfied. The restaurant staff were also very courteous and provided attentive service in a timely manner. I was even pleasantly surprised to find that the bathroom faucets were Hansgrohe. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. If I had to mention any minor drawbacks, the hotel's shower caps were too small to fit my head – I hope they can improve their selection of amenities in the future. The room lighting was a bit dim, the telephone was out of order, and the bathroom lacked a rain shower. However, none of these issues significantly impacted my overall experience."

"Our room was spacious and bright, offering a beautiful river view. The hotel service was truly exceptional; staff personally delivered our luggage to the room, and any issues were addressed promptly and professionally. We found the hotel manager to be incredibly welcoming and hospitable. 👍👍 A pleasant surprise was discovering that Yan Pai Dang, located downstairs, is part of the renowned Ninghai Shifu group, and Zhang Fu Ji, where breakfast is served, also operates under the same excellent culinary umbrella. The food offerings were truly outstanding. Our stay at Ascott on the final day truly made our family trip to Ningbo exceptionally enjoyable."

"The hotel boasts a fantastic location, right on the Old Bund pedestrian street, offering beautiful river views directly from the property. After dinner, a leisurely stroll along the pedestrian street, soaking in the vibrant lights and lively atmosphere, and feeling the refreshing river breeze, is the perfect way to unwind and shake off the day's fatigue. The hotel rooms were also spotlessly clean and very well-maintained. I was extremely satisfied!"

"I recently stayed at this lovely hotel for three days and two nights, and I had a fantastic experience! The location is perfect with so many activities and attractions nearby 🏙️. The hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained 🏨. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly 🤗. Although they didn't speak much English, translation apps made communication easy 📱. I did encounter a small issue with the shower 🚿, but the staff resolved it promptly and even upgraded me to a bigger, nicer room as a gesture of goodwill 🛏️✨. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Great service, great location, and a great experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"Great location, with the subway station right outside, making it super convenient for getting around and sightseeing. That afternoon, we visited the Cultural Plaza, and my child was completely engrossed for three hours! We then walked halfway around Moon Lake, where we witnessed the vibrant energy of the local seniors. As we walked from day into evening, we were lucky enough to capture some incredibly beautiful sunset glow! On our way to Qingjiamu for dinner, the sunlight dappling through the roadside trees was so beautiful I couldn't tear my eyes away. As a home cook myself, I can say that most of Qingjiamu's dishes were exquisite and delicious. As a specialty Ningbo restaurant, it's definitely worth experiencing! I heard their raw marinated seafood is a specialty, but unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of raw food. However, their braised pork belly and eel rice were absolutely unbelievably delicious! Highly recommended! After dinner, we finished walking the remaining half of Moon Lake, then visited Drum Tower. We happened to catch the evening projection show, and even at night, it was incredibly crowded! Our half-day 'citywalk' concluded with a total of 16,000 steps for the day. The next day, we slept in and enjoyed the buffet breakfast at the hotel. I highly recommend trying the freshly made mini wontons there! We took the high-speed train to Ningbo Academician Center. The scenery there was indeed beautiful, but I don't recommend visiting the 'influencer hotspots,' as there are huge crowds queuing up for photos. If you have time, you can visit the International Lake House; the scenery there is also absolutely stunning! Unfortunately, it suddenly poured rain the day I went, and I was soaked to the bone. So we spontaneously changed plans and went to Rulinhui Foot Spa for a foot massage. By the time it was over, my clothes were almost dry. We also tried the specialty seafood noodles at Miandaozan, and they were truly fantastic! Afterwards, we went to Romon Universal Park for the evening session. You definitely need to buy the night-session ticket as there's hardly any queuing, and the experience is fantastic! Another day of 15,000 steps – what a blast!"

"Beautiful hotel built in an old villa, rooms nicely furnished, very convenient location. Breakfast consists of a set of different snacks plus a choice of noodle or wanton soup. Coffee machine available. Sadly, no western food options nor choice of egg dish (only hard boiled available)."

"This price is very cost-effective in this area, the service is in place, the response is fast, the surrounding transportation is convenient, the room is also clean and spacious. As a self-driving tram, I am more concerned about the charging problem. The hotel's B2 parking lot has fast charging, the charging speed is super fast, and the parking fee is reimbursed by the hotel. Full marks!"

"Great hotel, the beds are extremely comfortable. The staff is really lovely. The breakfast was varied and quite tasty though very much Chinese, so not for every foreign traveler. The rooms are spacious and the shower is very good as well. The location is OK, some restaurants around, but the metro is a little far. Really depends on why you are in Ningbo. For us, it was convenient but I wouldn't stay here for tourism."

"Everything was great. Immensely convenient, being located at 2 subway lines intersection, just 100m away from the nearest subway entrance. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and bright rooms. Even got free and tasty soft ice cream at the hotel lobby, which I had one every time back. Lucky to be upgraded, and had a slightly bigger room, open city view and free mini-bar for our 1 week stay"

"The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, and the hotel is conveniently located close to Culture Square, Fuqing North subway station and share bicycles. The only problem was the television set. The screen was faulty."
