"One of the best places I have been on earth. Remote, nature, unbelievable beautifull in every aspect : lodging, staff, food besides the environment. Trips you can make to selba, whales, rivers and surfing! Life showed me the secrets of our planet. Miss this place and experience already. Life changing 🧡"
Irana Pacific Hotel ★★★
"They charge you for undelivered services and threaten you because quote: “this is not Europe” Read this review with caution, because Irana is flooded with FAKE reviews and they delete comments on Instagram (thus the good rating), Many of the comments are staff and family…(I know because we met them…) Why trust me? Because I have 0 incentive to lie. What a coincidence that they start getting great comments after my wife commented after our stay 🤣 You must be aware that the beauty about thise coast is the loneliness - but it’s also the FRIGHTENING part… in over 25 countries, this was the first time of my life I was sincerely concerned about my safety. - Spoiler - the host M. told us on our first day she tries to attract wealthy tourists with her Videos on Instagram (now we know why). If you - Like us - have slight disagreements with M./E. (the host/owner) about their tourist scams, your vacation is over. Our disagreement in short: I wanted to surf; they brought us to a spot at Termales ~20 minutes a way, didn’t Check tides (!) nor Waves before we left by boat and to add insult to injury, their subcontracted surf teacher didnt EVEN SHOW UP due to a local party… Well, we at least walked around Termales (the village) for about 30 minutes and had 2 minutes with a little whale our way (at least nature treated us well)… But at home we were told we will be still be charged 130€ (!!) (540.000 pesos) REGARDLESS of their poor planning - we offered a 50:50 compromise instead. At least we saw a whale by coincidence on our way there (but had no googles…). When raising the fact that the service was not delivered and we proactively offered to share the costs for transportation as a compromise, she: - Suddenly started yelling, - Insulted us as “robbing Europeans” - and after all she continued her hate speech and called me sexist (machista) with her boss E. on the phone (because I disagreed with a women…) E. explained “the waves are not his fault”. Well, if your teacher had shown up…. Ok, my mistake was to trust them… I did not check surf forecast and Surfline etc… myself. But they knew they would not make money with the transport then… 🙃 But honestly, this scam was not even the problem. The THREATS and INSULTS were. Their insults were mainly based on ****** stereotypes, but in the end they also called me sexist. I’m German a they refused to speak English even on WhatsApp as you see also in the screenshots; sorry if my Spanish isn’t perfect..). e. finalized: „You Europeans think you’re superior, Germans are all the same: rude and think they are something better” (probably because a fellow German complained one day earlier about the exact same issues). Both were clearly NOT interested in finding a solution or compromise. This beautiful place and the hardworking locals (except for E. and M. who are from Medellin, typical upper class people) were amazing, but this night gave my wife a panick attack. We feel sorry to write this comment which migh"
