289 Midway Motel ★★★
"It was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and even showed us how to use the electric stove. The bathroom and kitchen were both spotless."
Casa Nova House ★★★★★
"Brenda and Katrina could not have been more gracious, hospitable hosts. From the spotless McMullan Chamber with the incredible tile shower, to the gourmet breakfasts and INCREDIBLE evening cookies - we chose a perfect match for our honeymoon. Many thanks for a wonderful stay, inspiring grounds, and lots of advice on what to do during our 3 nights in Oamaru!"
Oamaru Motor Lodge ★★★★
"Very convenient stay without any trouble."
Brydone Hotel Oamaru ★★★
"It's a very retro hotel. The elevator is a door, giving it a medieval feel. The location is very good. The hotel is connected to a row of shops, which is convenient for parking and shopping. It is also very close to the Steam Museum. I met an exquisite lady while having breakfast in the restaurant. The breakfast was also good."
The Mews Oamaru ★★★★
"The room was clean and the facilities were good; it was worth staying there."
Heritage Court Lodge ★★★★
"Chinese service is very convenient."
Bella Vista Motel Oamaru ★★★★
"It’s a motel… so I went here with low expectations. And they didn’t disappoint… I guess I should have lowered them more 😢 our first impression was with the staff at check in. She confirmed my name and That I had booked the family suite… saw my two children and with an accusatory tone asked if the kids were staying as well and that I only booked for two adults. I’m sure there could be many reasons for this, for one my profile on Trip.com is for my family, so I assume it knows when I book it is for the four of us, but whatever, the motel did t get that info and I’m happy to pay for my children. I do think it’s a bit weird that someone would book a “family” suite for just themselves but sure. My main complaint her is with the attitude about it. Her immediate stance was not “we can correct that no problem” but you didn’t pay for your children and you need to pay first. Then the motels welcome gift was a child’s size bottle of milk…? When my wife asked if we could have one for our other daughter her response was “It’s two dollars for the bottle of milk”. To continue on, there was a bug on the bed and small flys on the ceiling. Maybe someone left a door open or what but it wasn’t something we wanted to deal with. The tissue box had four tissues in it. Overall this is a dated hotel with cheap appliances, surfaces and room amenities. Some of the items feel like things you buy on a “as seen on tv” commercial. Anyway. It’s a motel, we slept, and will never go back or recommend it to anyone.. ever."
AAA Thames Court Motel ★★★★
"Very cost-effective, convenient transportation, close to the supermarket, relatively quiet, large room, but quite cold at night, need to turn on the electric blanket, the heating will automatically stop when it reaches a certain temperature"
Alpine Motel ★★★
"Easy to check in and out. The room was a bit tired but it was clean and surprisingly quiet considering it’s location on the main road."
