Grand Park Hotel Odate ★★★
"The location was very good and it was close to the downtown area, which was helpful."
Royal Hotel Odate ★★
"The room was small and the decor was old-fashioned. A wall-mounted TV would be helpful to increase the countertop space. The electric kettle was very slow to boil water. There were very few restaurants nearby, making it quite inconvenient if you didn't drive. The free late-night ramen was a real plus!"
Annex Royal Hotel ★★
"The Japanese hotels were very clean, except this one had a slightly dated feel; otherwise, it was perfect. Thank you to the staff. Odate City has many bars and entertainment venues at night, but it was very quiet; the Tohoku region is generally quite desolate."
Hotel Route-Inn Odate Eki Minami ★★★
"I booked this hotel more than six months in advance to see the Nebuta Festival. I arrived just before midnight, and it was pitch black and I couldn't see anything, but the Route Inn's lights were visible from afar, making it easy to find. The room was clean, and the large public bath was open until 2 AM, and all the amenities were provided, which was great! Breakfast was also free, which was a nice bonus! There were vending machines for alcohol and food, so I didn't have to leave the hotel. The women's public bath had one washing machine and one dryer, and washing cost 200 yen and drying cost 100 yen. There were about four washing machines and four dryers in the mixed-gender area, but they were out of order. There were no tissues in the room, but there were in the public bath. The amenities in the public bath were N&CO cleansing oil, lotion, emulsion, and FIESTA facial wash (facial and hand wash foam). The room had single-use samples of facial wash, lotion, and emulsion, and you can get more cleansing oil by asking at the reception."
Hotel Route-Inn Odate Omachi ★★★
"Rich breakfast and courteous staff Will choose again next time I travel There is a free coffee machine on the first floor. There is only one elevator, so you often have to wait to go up and down the stairs. There are only two sockets in the room. The door is not electronically locked. Remember to lock the door manually when entering or exiting."
Hotel Shuzanso ★★
"Hotel is pretty far away from Odate Station about 30 mins by foot. There are buses from the Station to the Hotel if you do not want to walk. Overall the price is reasonable and it is a decent hotel to stay in Odate."
Tabist Hachi No Oyado Numadate Heights ★★
"You have to change shoes to enter the hotel; wear slippers and carry your luggage upstairs! The slippers are used by anyone who comes in; there's absolutely no disinfection. The toilet doesn't have a bidet function, and the sink hose is too long—it's impossible for anyone to spill water outside. There's no table by the bed, no power outlet, absolutely nothing. The soundproofing is appalling! You can clearly hear what the upstairs neighbors are doing, and you'll be woken up many times at night by the sound of trains."
Tashiro Onsen Yuppura ★★★
Furusawa Onsen Koyokan ★★
"They not only make you feel at home. They make you feel like family. The mother cleans each room with meticulous care. Both sisters run the front desk and make sure you are well taken care of. The home cooked authentic Japanese meals are worth the upcharge."
