"Clean and nice hotel, you can book the lake view room, easy to go everywhere"

"I received a message the day before check-in with the entrance code and room number, so I was able to get in immediately upon arrival. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Old Town, which is great for sightseeing. It's a bit of a hike up a hill, which can be tough with luggage, but the views are beautiful because of it. The sheets and bath towels were clean, and the floor and bathroom were generally well-cleaned. However, the window panes were dirty, and the window frames were grimy with several dead small insects (I couldn't stand it, so I did a quick clean of the window frames myself). The lake view truly is amazing, though. There's also a small balcony, but it was covered in cobwebs. Amenities were plentiful, with a fridge, kettle, and tea bags provided. Unfortunately, the inside of the fridge was dirty with some kind of liquid and mold, so I didn't use it. The kettle had old water in it, so I washed it before using it. The bathroom fan (which turns on with the light switch) was quite loud, so even though I wanted to ventilate, I turned it off because of the noise. The room key was loose and wobbly, making it difficult to handle. There was only a trash can in the toilet, which was inconvenient. If you're not bothered by small details, I think this could be a comfortable place to stay."

"I stayed for one day in November. If you find a room with a lake view available, I would definitely recommend it. It has an incredible view with the riot of autumn colors. You can meet all your needs in the shared kitchen."

"This review is a mixed bag. We booked with TUI and it must be noted that there seem to be some ongoing contractual issues between TUI and the hotel that meant we had to pay again for all inclusive then claim a refund from TUI. However, other than that the hotel was generally good. Not much food choice but what was there was tasty. The hotel is a little worn and old in places but the important parts (beds, pool and food area) were clean. The lake is truly spectacular and the views from the restaurants and bars are to die for. Just be warned if you enjoy walking and exploring you have to walk a section on the main dual carriageway in either direction to find more paths to walk on which was a little frustrating. "

"We were vey comfortable in the room and the location is fabulous! The owners were lovely and very easy going. The building itself is a bit dated and you can see where renos would help the appeal, but none of it impacted our enjoyment of our stay."

"The location in the old town is good, but finding a parking space is a challenge. The room was under the roof with a very limited view of the lake and a sloping ceiling above the bed that made it very easy to bump your head."

However, the owner didn't seem to be very fluent in English, and I occasionally didn't understand what they were saying, which made communicating via message a little stressful. Also, I think the cleaning fee and tourist tax were a bit on the expensive side."

"The apartment is really cosy and right next to the old town. It’s really spacious inside and has all the amenities you’ll need. Despite being so close to the town, it’s really quiet and I was able to sleep comfortably. The family greeted me at checkin and they were very friendly. I’d recommend this apartment for your stay in Ohrid!"
