Especially the bath while watching the sunset and morning scenery is the best! Amenity and daily necessities are perfect and you can spend your time comfortably. Oshima Hot Spa Hotel ★★★

📍 3-5 Kitsunba, Senzu, Oshimamachi, Oshima

"A hotel on the hillside of Mt. Mihara on Oshima. I used it for a day trip bath. The admission fee is 800 yen. There is an open-air bath and an indoor bath, and you can see Mt. Mihara from the open-air bath. When I visited, it was moist and I couldn't see it at all. The hot spring is a good hot spring with a suitable temperature of about 40 degrees Celsius. The hot spring mouth was precipitated and buzzy."

Book Tea Bed Izuoshima - Hostel ★
"I stayed here for 1 night in August. From Friday to Saturday. The hotel is quite small with a nice small area with loads of manga and travel books to enjoy while being there. The room was quite small for what I expected so I found the price a little expensive for that. "

Tsubaki ★★★
"A very cozy and beautiful cottage on the ocean shore. We stayed for two days and would happily stay longer. Everything inside is made of wood, and the design is tasteful. There's a room with beds, a Japanese-style room with futons (we chose to sleep in that one), a loft room, and a spacious lounge area. And in the evening, it's very pleasant to soak in the bath. The host is a very nice older man."

Oshima Hot Spa Hotel ★★★
"I often travel to the Izu Seven Islands on business trips, and while many of the hot springs on the islands have sodium chloride springs, I like this one because the springs are simple and don't leave a sticky feeling on the body. The view is amazing and the food is delicious, so I'd definitely like to come back when I'm on business trips to Oshima."

Hotel Akamon ★★
"Firstly, Izu Oshima doesn't have many tourist attractions overall. Most of the people I saw were middle-aged and elderly people hiking. Even on weekdays during the Camellia Festival, there weren't many tourists. I personally think the high cost of the steamboat ticket (9200 yen one way) is one reason. Secondly, the hotel is located in Motomachi Port, which recently stops at Okada Port. It takes another half hour by bus to get there. The hotel is quite old. The receptionist was an elderly gentleman, probably almost 90, but he was clear-headed and spoke basic English without any problems. The hot spring bath was rather small, and the breakfast was traditional Japanese. I probably won't go back to this destination again. Public transportation on the island is also quite expensive; a one-way trip to the volcano costs over 1000 yen, and a one-day pass seems to be 2050 yen. I went to Oshima Park, which is free, which is a good thing. It includes the Camellia Garden and the zoo, but the camellias weren't as abundant as I expected; the ones in the greenhouse were better."

Hotel Kailani ★★★
"Fantastic comfortable stay with a family-run business! I stayed at Hotel Kailani during a recent trip to Izu Oshima Island (a ferry ride from Tokyo). The hotel is located on the hills of Habu Port, with waterfront views and 2 minutes walk from one of the best lookout spots on the island. The hotel was clean, quiet, spacious, with plenty of amenities and facilities, and a great breakfast cooked daily by mother and daughter. The staff are very friendly and you can really feel the care and attention that has been given to the hotel. I believe this is one of the best hotels on the island, and I highly recommend it to all travellers!"

Hotel Shiraiwa ★★★
"I stayed at a long-established inn on the 4th floor. It was inconvenient to have to take the stairs to get to the second floor. There are some rooms that can be accessed by elevator from the first floor. The amenities are single-use items, so if you are particular about quantity and quality, you may want to bring your own. It's convenient as it's close to the nearest supermarket."
