"the location is convenient with Aeon supermarket and restaurants nearby. hotel room is large and clean. Though the hotel design is kind of conventional old hotel, I would accept that given its price , room size and location. the best part of the hotel is the view, overlooking the Lake Biwa. If you can manage to wake up early, you are able to see the sunrise from your room. breakfast is unexpectedly good. Not to mention about the nice lake view from the restaurant, the variety and quality of food is good. highly recommended for its value for money."

"The room was compact and clean, typical of a standard Japanese hotel in terms of layout and hygiene, though a bit dated. The peeling wallpaper didn't affect our stay. It was my first time using a key for both opening the door and activating the electricity. Toiletries, a fridge, a coin-operated washer/dryer, and breakfast were all provided, which was very convenient for my cycling trip. The hotel staff could communicate in simple English, and even if they didn't understand, they used a translator; their attitude was friendly and welcoming. The location is definitely its biggest advantage, being very close to JR Seta Station and bus stops. It only takes 5 minutes from the room to the platform, so bringing my bicycle wasn't an issue. There are convenience stores, ramen shops, yakiniku restaurants, and even a Torikizoku that stays open late nearby. If I come back to Kansai for another cycling trip, I'd definitely consider staying here again."

"It's an older, more established Japanese hotel, and the service was pretty good. They have a shuttle bus to and from the train station, and you can enjoy the hot springs in the evening, although the indoor and outdoor baths are relatively small. Walking along the lake is very pleasant. It's not super convenient for getting to various attractions, but transportation around Lake Biwa isn't particularly convenient in general. The easiest way to get around is by chartering a car or driving yourself. Overall, it offers decent value for money."

The interior had a traditional and artistic feel, and the hotel's upper floors and outdoor hot springs offered views of Lake Biwa. The food was surprisingly delicious and delightful. "The environment is absolutely beautiful, right by the lake. They have a great happy hour in the lobby, and I really enjoyed the sauna and hot spring pool. The breakfast and dinner buffets were amazing – I was so surprised to see seafood BBQ even at breakfast! The only minor drawback was the restroom, which was quite small, but it was fine for just using the toilet."

"The location of this hotel is good. It takes about 30 to 40 minutes to drive to Lake Biwa and Mount Hiei. The hotel is generally very clean and the room is quite large. The hotel is quite clean. The breakfast is okay, not very rich, but enough."

"Comfortable room and bathroom with bathtub. Perfect for a short stay with great connection to Kyoto station by commuter train (12 mins) right outside the hotel. All staff was very sweet. Coffee and tea available all day into the evening for free in the hotel restaurant or for takeaway. Recommend!"

"We appreciated that the hotel provides complimentary pick-up and drop-off service to the nearest subway station between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm. Breakfast is served in traditional Japanese style, featuring rice, grilled fish, eggs, and some vegetables. Coffee is not included and must be purchased separately from the hotel’s café. Bedroom: The tatami mats felt slightly dusty, possibly because the room had been vacant for a few days after the last cleaning. There was also a strand of hair on one of the pillows when I lifted the duvet 😅. Although the room was ready, the hotel does not allow check-in before 3:00 pm. Check-out time is 10:00 am, which is earlier compared to many other hotels. We were charged an additional ¥4,000 for a late check-out at 11:00 am (extension of an hour). The in-room onsen was excellent, the water flow was strong and hot enough for cold weather. The bathroom mirror was also spotless. The hotel was quite empty during our stay, so it would be appreciated if management could be more flexible and allow early check-in when rooms are already ready. The check-out time should also be extended to the standard 11:00 am. Not allowing early check-in while also enforcing an early check-out time does not seem very favorable for guests."
