"On the way back from my parents' house in Kumano, I saw a comment that said "The grouper dishes are delicious!" and stayed at this inn. At first glance, the exterior did not leave a very good impression, and it was a small, old inn. The interior has been renovated and the rooms were clean and nice. The staff were also friendly and we had a comfortable stay. The bathroom is not very large, but considering the number of rooms, it may be fine to use it during the less crowded hours. We tried the grouper dishes that the reviews said, but it did not suit my husband and I, who had imagined it to have a protein-rich taste. I'm sure those who like it will find it delicious and irresistible. The breakfast was well seasoned, and we especially liked the several types of dried bite-sized grilled fish. We would like to stay at this inn again if we have the opportunity."

"What a lovely hotel! My room was incredible, it was so comfortable and perfect after a day of hiking. I used the onsen as well which was lovely. Shared bathroom was very clean and nice. This was my favorite place to stay on the path of the Kumano Kodo."
