Fair warning , the entrance is easy to miss. It’s small and quite discreet, almost hidden against the noise and colour of the bazaar. But step inside, and everything changes. The contrast is immediate and wonderful. Arriving at the Hotel Once you’re through the entrance, the market crowd and noise simply disappear. You’re greeted by a large, beautifully maintained lawn, the sound of the Lidder River nearby, and the calm of a property that has been welcoming guests for over a hundred years. That sense of stepping into a different world is one of the hotel’s best qualities. Rooms and Facilities The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with large washrooms that are a pleasant surprise at this price point. Most rooms look out over the Lidder Valley, and that view is genuinely magical ,the river below, forested slopes all around, and clean mountain light filling the room each morning. The hotel also has built in water heaters in the rooms, which is a practical and much appreciated feature when Pahalgam evenings get cold. "We had very bad experience at the hotel. The service was poor, rooms shabby, rooms provided were without any mount view though the name of the hotel is mount view and the 2 persons ( one of them Tariq) managing reception were very rude, uncooperative created lot of confusion and tension when they informed us that our booking was for only 1 night even our tour operator has confirmed for 2 nights. Overall, we had very bad experience. They didn't even had any consideration for we being senior citizens. They were perhaps under nostalgia of the hotel being almost fully booked due to summer season."
