The hotel is very clean. When you open the curtains in the morning, you can see the sunrise and morning glow. Except for the bad attitude of a waitress at night.

How can they charge for parking when there are no other options? I stayed there in April and May without parking charges. Then I stayed last week and was charged $10/night for parking. What? If there are no other options for parking what is a “guest” to do? I have been a long time Hilton client, but will not remain brand loyal if this is the treatment that is indicative of this chain. I was willing to overlook the filthy floors in my room, the every other day cleaning(which only included fresh towels) and the very slow shower drains, but the charges for parking at a motel is the tipping point. Hilton you can do better and if not, there are plenty of other hotel chains out there that would love to have my loyal business. Just say no to this Hampton Inn.

Dee Dee was amazing and took great care of us during our stay by cleaning our room which was very well done. Our key didn’t work a few times but the front desk staff programmed it each time but that was due to a new access system. Overall it was a great stay.

They attempted to make me pay a pet fee for my service dig. I had to explain that's illegal. The drain in my bathroom was horrible, and I could hear my neighbors. While the maids and custodians were nice, they are the only nice staff on site. The manager is passive aggressive when you bring problems to his attention. There's also no guaranteed parking (you will be charged an additional fee to use their parking lot) and semis will take up some 8-10 spaces. Finally, the televisions provided do not turn off. When you power them off, they only restart; when you use the sleep timer, they will not turn back on.

Good place to stay, short distance to the beach. Lot of noise from the spring break crowd, TV wasn’t working and no towels but the black guy who checked us in was awesome and handled the situation. Not sure his name but I think he said he was from Texas.

Checkin for a 2 nite business stay was quick and easy, but no Diamond recognition. Asked about housekeeping services and was assured it was daily. After confirming again in the AM with my room number, that housekeeping was daily, I returned that evening to a room NOT SERVICED. Hotel overall is okay, older and my King Suite room was clean and roomy, but next time I’ll look elsewhere.

It’s a good, solid Hampton property. Has a few issues, location is really good - near the beach and all the other attractions, but not in the mega-traffic Front Beach road. Parking is free and available. (Gain 3*) My room smelled a bit like a full on 53 man NFL roster plus their coaches holed up in my room. After a long football game with no showers. If you’ve ever been in a locker room after a game, that’s how my Hampton Inn room smells. There was some deodorizer left In the hallway housekeeping cart so zI sprayed the room down well enough to get the dirty smell out. (Gain .15*) Requested late checkout as it was well after midnight when I checked in thinking that as a Diamond member, I should get 2 PM, or maybe 1 PM. Dude at desk said 12 Noon was the latest possible late checkout, and that is I’m in there a mere 5 minutes after 12, I’d get charged another night. (gain 0*) ^^ As you can see, Diamond level doesn’t mean much such as later checkouts like it used to do Beds mattresses are bouncy and they squeak and cleanliness is meh - clean enough barely = but will subtract (-1). So - 3 stars + .15 stars - 75* = 3.4 stars (have to round down to 3
