Very Good
HHenryW9My gf and I recently stayed to attend the Russell Peters show at Casino Rama and overall had a great experience.
Positives: affordable, quick and easy check-in, comfortable bed, friendly and welcoming owner/manager, good location between Orillia downtown & Casino Rama, a short 10–15 minute drive either way.
Negatives: the noise - bad sound isolation between neighbors, water heater, fridge, etc. The location can be a negative: it’s quiet and away from the crowds, which is nice if you’re looking for peace, but it also means you’re further from amenities like grocery stores and restaurants.
Overall: If you’re looking for an affordable and comfortable stay with a friendly host, and don’t mind some noise or being a short drive from town conveniences, this inn is a solid choice - especially if you’re heading to Casino Rama for a show.
GGuest UserWe needed a room due to weather conditions and being from out of the area. We were attending my daughter's wedding and had to make some very last minute changes which included my dog. The Hampton Inn was very accommodating. The location was perfect, the food and staff at the Hamptons in Barrie were exceptional and the accommodation was perfect. I suffer from PTSD and having my dear dog with me has helped immensely when staying at a hotel. I was very thankful that I was able to have her there. The staff and other guests loved her as she is a very sociable girl. Thank you for helping me with my last minute dilemma. I must commend all of your staff especially the lady who works preparing for the breakfast rush and doing double duty cleaning rooms. I am sorry I did not get her name. Thank you for a wonder stay.

SSHAORONGBreakfast in the hotel I stayed in Canada was relatively good. There are many varieties of yogurt for breakfast, as well as several types of bread and hot tea. It may be late, no fruit can be found, the hotel room is relatively large, and the mattress is thick. Shower gel shampoo
Kkemigisha K brendahThe facility is clean and very close to the blue mountains. It is surrounded by grocery stores and restaurants and also not far from downtown.
Breakfast is very delicious and has lots of options to pick from. the rooms are not sound proof though. I remember one couple checked in on our last night there and we could not sleep. They were banging each other whole night and groaning ad screaming was so disgusting .. it went on for the whole night into the morning.
My 10 year old started asking me why the woman was screaming and if we needed to call 911... I tried to reach the front desk several times that night, in vain. I will never forget that night. You can hear everything happening in a neighbors room even if its a conversation.. word for word! That is something to consider.
GGuest UserNeeded wheel chair accessable room for my father with Parkinson's and they gave me a room on the other side of the hotel that was not handicap accessable. Really did not enjoy having nothing for him to hold on to in the bathroom and not having enough room to move the wheel chair around at night to help him to the washroom and back to bed.
GGuest UserNice clean place, big room. We got a room on the second floor and farthest from reception and there is no elevator and with the indoor swimming pool on the lower floor that meant a lot of walking and climbing stairs.
Our units door was out of sorts, very difficult opening and shutting it.
it is 10 minutes ride from Blue mountain village where most the action is.
No restaurant of own, there is a restaurant Gustav in the building which gives a measly 10% discount after charging high prices . However no other nearby pocket friendly food options except at the blue mountain village
GGuest UserThe service was very friendly and quick. Hotel room was spacious and clean. The only thing was the people who had a room above us sounded like they were pacing the floors all the way through the night (4am!) , but that is not the hotels fault though.
Overall our stay was enjoyable.
GGeordieThe hotel has been renovated and is basic but perfectly adequate. There were guests in the hotel at different points of the week who were loud well into the night and the hotel staff weren’t able to manage that. Aside from the few other guests being inconsiderate, I had a comfortable stay.
