After visiting Mount Putuo, I stayed at this hotel in Zhujiajian, and it was quite unique! It's right opposite the Guanyin Bodhisattva World, so the next day I could just scan my ID to enter, which was a good experience! The room was nice, and they offer a shuttle service. The minibar items were complimentary, and the auntie even brought milk and fruit.

The location is just behind the Shengshan Island Pier, and it is very convenient to walk. This guesthouse, perched on a hill, seems to be quite popular with influencers, featuring many Instagrammable photo spots. Both the rooms and the restaurant boast floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the sea, with the rooms directly facing the Rainbow Lighthouse. The restaurant's view is also fantastic; having breakfast with that sea view in the morning is incredibly enjoyable. Unfortunately, the weather on our first day was terrible, with strong winds and heavy rain, which completely dampened my enthusiasm for taking photos. I imagine it would be amazing to visit in the summer! The in-room amenities were a bit lacking; perhaps to maintain a stylish look, there weren't many power outlets. However, the service attitude was absolutely superb—they were always ready to help. They even gave plenty of advice to us fishing novices who were enthusiastic but unskilled. I must also mention the free pick-up and drop-off service, which saved us a good amount of money, considering that taxi fares on Shengshan and Gouqi Islands can be quite expensive. The recommended driver was also very nice. I'd definitely come back in the summer just for this level of service!

We loved the customer service. Due to gale warning, we arrived a day early. The hotel got a shuttle service to and from Ferry/airport. We arrived late and the weather wasn't the greatest, but the owner were willing to drive us to get food and offer to pickup. After a long day of rushing from one island to another, we much needed a foot massage. Due to the bad weather, the owner was so nice to offer to drive us to a massage parlor and pick us up after. This is some excellent service you don't see often. The hotel doesn't have elevator, but it's not really an issue for us. The rooms were clean and neat. I could see the temple from my room. This place is in a community, but not far from alot of places. It's walking distance to rent a moped, If you could ride a moped, I 100% recommend it. You could use Wechat/Alipay to rent it. We rent it to ride everywhere. It's very safe. I would definitely book with them again and recommend this place to stay if you are planning to visit the island.

Every year during the off-season, I spend a few days in Putuo, and I've stayed at several hotels on the island. Xilai Zhizhu Hangshe is definitely one of the best. The location is excellent, the facilities are great, the hygiene is satisfactory, and the service is also very good. Besides the high room rate, there's hardly anything to fault. Especially the Yuanzhi Yuanwei restaurant downstairs – it was a pleasant surprise! I used to avoid 'influencer' spots, but after eating there twice, I was very impressed. No pre-made dishes, fresh ingredients, good flavor, and great value for money. I'll definitely be staying here again every year.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel was clean and quiet, and the rooms had great views, with sea views right from the balcony. The front desk and butler services were excellent, with prompt communication and shuttle arrangements, which made things much easier. The breakfast selection wasn't particularly extensive, but the food was delicious and replenished promptly. The public areas and pool were great for taking photos, making it a perfect place for a relaxing vacation. I would definitely stay here again.

Service by the guy who picked us up from the airport is excellent. 10/10!!! Our luggage was damaged during the flight, he called someone to help us repair it. We were short on time for the ferry sailing to Mt Putuo due the weather conditions, that day sailings will be cancelled, (we got to chat in the van when he picked us up from the airport), he said we can just leave the luggages at the front desk and then hurriedly sent us to the port, good thing we made it. That's superb customer service!!! He didn't even want to get a tip, eventually we gave him some dried mango packs from the Philippines. The front desk guy though is a different story, he was super slow, did not know how to handle checking in of foreign passport holders I think. He has our passports and had to ask us our birthdays!! It was also difficult for him to understand the visa dates (expiry and issue dates), and he kept on asking when we arrived, it is just there stamped opposite the visa page, we just actually arrived that day, this is our first hotel. Anyway, free pick up from the airport is best and free sending to the port and then lastly also to the bus station. Great service.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, just a short walk from Zhujiajian Pier, making it incredibly convenient for trips to Putuo Mountain. Our family room was spacious and bright, offering views of the pier. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy, featuring a bathtub and a bathroom with a separate wet and dry area, plus complete shower facilities. Breakfast was quite generous, and there's a restaurant on-site where we enjoyed a delicious dinner. We even received complimentary welcome fruit. The hotel also provides its own free parking, both underground and above ground, which is perfect for those traveling by car. The front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and professional.

The service was excellent, which deserves special praise. The owner arranged everything after I booked, and there was also a butler service available after check-in; they were quick to help with any issues. The only inconvenience was the hot water heater; you had to wait about 10 minutes for each person to shower before the next one could. However, it didn't affect the overall experience. I would definitely go again.
