Home2 Suites by Hilton Houston Pasadena
"They say nothing is perfect, but this hotel came close! We received a friendly greeting upon entering the lobby, the check-in process was effortless, and although they didn’t have adjoining rooms they ensured that the second room was mere feet away. They allowed us to check-in a bit early into one room and called within 30 mins to inform us that the second room was ready. They also provided the cooktops so that we could make hot meals for our families. Everyone we encountered was very accommodating from the breakfast staff to housekeeping. Hot breakfast was a plus. The only drawback was that the ice machine was inoperable on our floor so we had to venture down to the first floor to retrieve ice. The rooms were clean, modern, large and definitely accommodated a family of 5 (2 rooms for total of 10 guests). Many restaurants and plenty of shopping is minutes away, but nothing that shares the same street as the hotel although there is a McDonald’s across the highway inside a gas station. I think not being surrounded by eateries helped navigate entering and exiting the parking lot. Total consensus is we will return soon!"

"I hate leaving a bad review, but gotta be honest and hopefully help someone else avoid a bad situation and maybe encourage the business to make some desperately needed improvements. We were really excited to stay here and it was such a let down. We could have gotten over a lot of it had there been any effort made. Communication is terrible- virtually non-existent aside from auto replies. We had a couple of questions prior to arrival and it took multiple voicemails, emails and texts to get one response - (their outgoing message mentioned they were busy at the restaurant- which is clearly their main focus.) Upon our arrival to check in, in 100 degrees 100% Texas humidity, the A/c was not on. Had to leave and come back later in order to be in the room. Nuts. When we got back, I discovered a big dead cockroach on the nightstand, followed by a white fuzzy caterpillar crawling up the wall. So that was fun doing bug patrol. The sheets were cheap microfiber and super hot. Coverlet quilt and brown fuzzy extra blanket were just tired and old. I wasn’t expecting Italian linens, but I do expect at least a basic decent cotton sheet - Amazon sells them for a very reasonable price- 😒 While I was aware it was described and pictured as “charming rustic”, it was run down inside and not up to par for the prices being charged. Broken blinds that even if they weren’t broken were inadequate for any type of privacy let alone for keeping out light if you wanted to sleep in at all. However, starting at 7:30 am, they begin piping music from a speaker located right outside the front door- not how I want to be woken up. The cottages are located in a neighborhood that doesn’t feel particularly safe and we were hanging towels and clothing up on the windows so people couldn’t see right in. There was very little sleep had- and having visited with the guests in the other cabin, they had a similar experience of feeling unsafe, a cabin that didn’t cool down till 2 am and general sense of being really disappointed in the lodging and the absence of communication. There were wasps nest on both ends of the building that were easily visible and should have been knocked down- the final kicker was when we came in on what was to be our final night to find a window broken and a wasp inside and major rain on the way. I called, no answer of course, left a voicemail, sent a text and an email letting whomever know the situation —- nothing of course. In the end , we left and went and checked into a hotel. NEVER HEARD A WORD from “management “ security or anyone - absolutely no response. Any decent property owner or manager would have at least had the courtesy to call , perhaps offer to reimburse us for the night that the place was uninhabitable. Stuff happens, didn’t expect perfection, but this was super disappointing super expensive experience. Appallingly poor service. Avoid staying. On the bright side, The restaurant is cute and has decent food. This pla"

Residence Inn Houston Pasadena
"Stayed one night prior to going on a cruise out of Galveston. Cute room and the hotel is located in a convenient location near shopping and restaurants. We were able to walk to dinner and back with no issue. Staff was super nice. Only real obvious “negative” was the water pressure in the showers was non-existent. Despite this, would still stay again."
