Mountain Lodges of Nepal - Monjo
"Stayed here on the way from Lukla to Everest Base Camp - a very warm welcome of tea and biscuits from the staff and manager and a lovely evening meal; the rooms were comfortable with electric blankets and a warm shower. Breakfast was delicious too!"
The Himalayan Tyangboche
"Still all brand new. Staff Samundra chhetri was friendly, fast responsive, and very very helpful. We had a good view of the mountains. One thing was that due the the rain we did not have enough hot showers or central heating (but had a heating blanket so the bed was warmed up). They said they’ll have a generator to fix it but better ask when you come. Food were good and reasonable price."
Panorama Lodge and Restaurant
"Hotel Panorama isn't just a place to stay - it was an integral part of our EBC experience. The owner, Mingma dai, went above and beyond, helping plan our entire trek and providing invaluable local insights. His warm hospitality made us feel like family rather than guests. From the delicious pizza with fresh toppings to the impressive breakfast spread with crispy bacon and artfully prepared coffee, the food was exceptional. The cozy wooden interior creates the perfect atmosphere for relaxing after a long trek, while the immaculate maintenance and attention to detail throughout the property showcase their commitment to guest comfort. It's the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and genuine Himalayan hospitality."
Mountain View Lodge - 1 Minute from Lukla Airport
"Mountain View Lodge is honestly one of the best places I’ve been to. The vibe is super peaceful, everything feels clean and well-managed, and the food is actually really good. The view is the main thing though especially in the evening, it just hits different. Not even gonna lie, I didn’t expect it to be this nice, but it felt really genuine and comfortable. I’d actually go again for sure. Definitely recommend if you just want to chill and have a good time."
Holiday Inn Hotel
Jishan Jishe (Zhumeng Base Camp)
"The boss and his wife are very nice. The room is clean. The boss drove us to take pictures of the starry sky at night. He helped us contact the car to Mount Everest the next day. We just needed to wait at the door and didn't need to go down to the transfer point. He also helped us contact friends to check whether we could see Mount Everest when we went up the mountain. It was very good. I will choose this hotel next time."
Mount Everest Base Camp Tent Camping Hotel
"The environment is good, and the hygiene and service are also great. However, the room's ceiling is too low, which feels a bit suffocating. Plus, there's no private bathroom, so it's not very good value for money."
Mountain Lodges of Nepal - Namche
"We stayed at Mountain Lodges of Nepal – Namche twice during our Everest Base Camp trek — once on the ascent and again on the descent — and both times it felt like coming home in the mountains. The lodge perfectly balances comfort and tradition, offering all the modern amenities you could want at this altitude — from heated beds and hot showers to a cozy lounge area perfect for relaxing with tea after a long day of hiking. What really stood out was the staff’s warmth and efficiency. They remembered us from our first stay and greeted us like old friends the second time around. I even got laundry done at a very reasonable price, which was such a treat during the trek! The meals were consistently great, with generous portions and beautifully presented dishes, and the dining room had such a welcoming vibe. Namche is a bustling stop on the trail, but this lodge gave us a peaceful and comfortable haven both times we stayed. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a touch of luxury and genuine care in the heart of the Himalayas."
