"This is a new hotel, and the rooms are really clean. The staff are also very helpful. It's a collection of small bungalows, about 12 of them if I remember correctly. The only downside is that there's no TV, so it can be a bit quiet. In the morning, they offer sandwiches for breakfast, or you can choose a full breakfast set. The location is close to Khao Sok National Park, about 500 meters down an alley from the main road. However, the alley leading in is quite rough and full of potholes. If you're driving, you might need to be careful and go slowly. 📌📌📌 One more warning: If you use Google Maps and it tries to take you to the back of the hotel, DON'T GO!! Unless you have a 4x4 or a vehicle ready for off-road adventures, seriously, DON'T GO!! You've been warned! Stick to the main road and ignore any shortcuts Google Maps suggests for the back way. We didn't take pictures of that route because it was very dark, there were no streetlights, and if you got stuck in a hole, it would be hard to find help. Also, there's no phone signal there, so be careful. 📌📌"

"It was an absolutely wonderful trip. Many thanks to Ms. Buppha J for her warm and professional service. She contacted us in advance while we were still in China, arranged the car reservation and all our itineraries locally, and everything was well-organized. On our first day in Khao Sok National Park, the guide she arranged was excellent. All the other hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks also to Mr. Boy for his kind assistance. I will definitely come back if I get the chance, to see the Rafflesia and enjoy the lake area again!"

"This is a new resort in Khao Sok mountains of Thailand. The setting is stunning. The villas are located around a mountain river surrounded by limestone karsts (mountains). Each villa is large with tasteful furnishing, modern bathrooms and wrap-around verandah. All meals and the bar are in the clubhouse which is a colonial style two story building with excellent views across the river and into the trees. The resort is about 1.5 hours drive from Surat Thani airport on excellent roads, except for the last 10 minutes when one winds into the river valley. This is a place to relax and chill. There is a fine 18 x 5 meter swimming pool plus spa. Massages are available as well as tubing on the river, day hikes and night safari. My wife and friend really enjoyed the tubing and the eco printing of flowers and leaves onto cotton fabric."

"We stayed in a private cabin at The Camper Lodge in Khao Sok, and overall it was a memorable experience in an absolutely breathtaking setting. The location is incredible — surrounded by lush rainforest and dramatic limestone cliffs, it truly feels like you’re immersed in nature. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle was such a special experience. Our cabin was clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited to the environment — simple but cosy, and ideal for a nature escape. The food at the lodge itself was very nice — fresh, flavourful, and generous in portion size. After a day exploring, it was lovely to come back and enjoy a good meal in such peaceful surroundings. We also booked the elephant experience, which was genuinely amazing and unforgettable. However, we do feel the reception staff could have been more informative when explaining excursions. We weren’t advised to bring swimwear or clothes suitable for getting muddy, so we wore regular outfits that ended up completely covered in mud and unfortunately ruined. A bit more guidance beforehand would have made a big difference. Additionally, we did the overnight stay at Cheow Lan Lake. The scenery there is absolutely spectacular and staying overnight on the lake is an incredible experience in itself. However, we felt it was slightly let down by the overhyped “safari,” which in reality was more of a short walk through some trees rather than the wildlife experience we were expecting. The food during the overnight stay was also very disappointing — extremely limited choice and unfortunately not very enjoyable. Despite these points, the natural beauty of Khao Sok is undeniable, and The Camper Lodge provides a peaceful and scenic base to explore it from. With clearer communication about excursions and some improvements to the overnight lake experience, this could easily be exceptional. A beautiful setting and a unique stay overall — just worth asking detailed questions before booking excursions so you know exactly what to expect. 🌿"

"We stayed for three days at this brand-new resort, hidden deep in the jungle, and it was absolutely wonderful. The colonial and tropical style gives the resort a unique charm, and we found the team incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. As for the accommodation, it truly feels like a peaceful haven: the bed is comfortable and cozy, the bathroom is spacious and very pleasant, not to mention the balcony overlooking nature and the surrounding cliffs. The highlight is of course the swimming pool — large, spotless, and even equipped with a jacuzzi. The resort also offers friendly activities with locals, allowing guests to learn more about their lifestyle and daily life (coffee plantation visits, fabric painting, etc.). Finally, we truly enjoyed the traditional menu: beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Breakfast even offers several dish options, which is perfect for combining both sweet and savory. "Overall, it's a good place to spend the night on the road. All the amenities are there, and we booked a room with air conditioning. The cafe is open until 7:00 PM and then it's mostly empty, so it's best to check in early. The only downside is the high humidity in the room, and if you arrive hungry in the evening and don't have time to eat at the cafe, the nearest 7/11 is a 15-minute drive away. It's close to the road, so be sure to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Breakfast was served in the morning; it's a good place, if you're not too harsh."
