Hotel Caravelas ★★★★
"Receptionists were very friendly and helpful! Ana helped a lot!"
Azores Youth Hostels - Pico ★★
"The staff of the hostel were so friendly and helpful. They were informative. The building itself has had history before. Staff provided good suggestions for my travel plan. If the hostel has a kitchen, it will be perfect. If I travel Pico again , I must stay here again"
Porto Velho Boutique Hostel ★★
"I felt very welcome at the hotel. The team was attentive, the room was cozy, and the whole place had a warm and relaxing atmosphere that made my stay truly enjoyable."
Pico Dreams ★★★
"THis is a holiday complex in the village of Sao Roque on the island of Pico. My room was OK with an en suite and with shared kitchen facilities and a dining area just along the corridor. There is an outdoor pool but no 24-hour reception. I would not recommen attempting to stay here without car as the public transport is virtually non-exostent and there is little to do in the village itself."
Aldeia Dos Caldeiroes ★★★
AL NOVAVISTA ★★★
"I was a little disappointed that this is not, in fact, a hotel. I think I might have been the only person staying there, I didn't see anyone else except for about 2 seconds in the breakfast room. The only contact I had was by email, and all the instructions were only sent the morning I was traveling, so I didn't receive them until I got to Pico. The room was comfortable enough and very clean. But lots of things are dated. The internet was non-existent. The air conditioner and bathroom fan were both ancient and made a lot of noise. The breakfast was only meh, but the view from the breakfast room was lovely. The location is good, close to town and in a quiet area. I didn't spend much time at the hotel and it was too cold for a swim, but I imagine that would be great when the weather is warmer as the pool also has an amazing view. It's worth it for the price."
35th Atlantic View ★★★
"Really this is a 3.5* review. This is a good choice that has the potential to be great. The owners need to figure out what they want this place to be and plan accordingly. The area is really nice. It's out of the way without being too remote. There is an easy to use parking area just off the road. We had a second floor sea view room. The room itself was nice. There were however some flaws. There was little ventilation with the doors closed. Also, when it rained, water seemed to leak in through every door and window, making it impossible to feel dry. My number one complaint is that there was no fridge in the room. Pico makes some of the best white wines in the world, and to have a balcony with an ocean view makes sipping wine the most natural pastime. The fact that there's nowhere to chill wine is inexplicable. I can understand not wanting to promote a party atmosphere, but I consider access to a fridge to be a basic requirement. The breakfast was fine, but bordered on basic. Perhaps another fresh element would elevate it. There are some fine restaurants nearby and a good grocery store only five minutes drive away. Truthfully, I would stay here again, but I think the owners are missing a golden opportunity to create something sensational."
Aldeia Das Adegas ★★★★
"Awesome gem in Sao Roque, like a little village with separate houses. Very clean, beds are very comfortable, has all the the amenities you can thing of. Super friendly, extremely helpful staff. Outstanding, delicious breakfast delivered to your doorstep."
Aldeia da Fonte Hotel ★★★★
"If you like dated rooms, overgrown plants and poor maintenance you will love this place. This place must have been something to see ten years ago, but sadly, now it is dilapidated. Our rooms had cracks in the walls, sink stopper would not work, fawcet would not switch to shower mode. A safe in one room but not the other. The ground are not kept at all, leaves everywhere and plants taking over. Non functioning fountains everywhere. Getting to the pool is a nightmare and not worth because of dirt and broken tiles. The only saving grace at this hotel was the restaurant, atmosphere and staff at the restaurant were great."
