"Hotel as expected for a 4 star. No complaints. Staff very helpful. Food great. Unfortunately we were quite down beat after renting a lovely sea view with a balcony 2 cars could park on we are reliably informed that no loungers are available to use on balcony. We are celebrating our 1 year anniversary (2nd time round!) and looking forward to some lovely evening looking out on the sea view which granted is fantastic. We were told the manager refused our request. Very very disappointed"

"The location of the TUI Blur Adriatic Beach is absolutely gorgeous, great views, lovely walks near the hotel, with little coves and beaches. We knew about the location, so expected the steps, knew we would have to hire a car or book excursions to explore the Makarska Riviera, so no surprises there. The hotel itself was lovely, spacious reception and bar areas. The room we had was lovely too, great sea view, spacious, great shower, comfortable bed and cleaned to a good standard every day. However I did expect more from a TUI Blue hotel. The food was ok but not varied enough in terms of salads, fish and seafood. There was fresh fish but usually overcooked via the grill or overcooked in one of the warm dishes. There were limited healthy options like grains or pulses - this might sound a bit picky but have been to 4 star ‘average’ all inclusive where the food options have been more varied overall. Drink wise was ok and the bar areas were nice, yes we mainly had to stand at the bar to get drinks, didn’t bother us really. Staff in the bar and restaurants worked very hard. We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary whilst there and there was absolutely no recognition from the hotel about this. We did get a bottle of wine from the TUI Reps, which was appreciated. The hotel seems to missing something service wise, staff seemed pleasant enough but not particularly bothered about the guests, not quite sure how to explain it properly. Our air conditioning wasn’t working when we arrived, we reported it to reception and was told that the air conditioning was run centrally and that it wasn’t ‘switched on’ yet due to it being May etc. We left this for a couple of days as there was a bit of a storm and we didn’t need to use it. On the third day (our wedding anniversary day) after being at the beach and a lovely sunny day, we reported it again. After a bit of back and forth with reception, they sent a maintenance person and yes it was broken. He suggested that we might have to change rooms but reception staff were insistent that it could be fixed. After an hour of no electricity and trying to fix it (it was about 6 pm by this time) we were told to get ready for dinner and promised it would be fixed (they put the electricity back on and the maintenance person left). Did this and when we got back to the room about 9pm it was as fixed - yay! Glad it was but it was a bit of fuss to get it sorted. Interestingly we got a bottle of wine and a bowl of fruit from the GM the day after, as an apology. We’ve been to a few TUI Blue hotels in the past and this one has something missing, service/staff/vibe wise I think."

"Food repetitive, always luke warm , no microwave to heat it. No toaster so no toast at breakfast. Desserts, cake cut into 1 inch cubes same every night. We had to ask staff to take our meal into the kitchen to heat it. The hotel is quite isolated so not much to do. No lift down to the pool. 26 steps to walk down to the pool and a another 10 to get to the beach. I have limited mobilaty so every trip was hard work. Two and a half hour transfer to the hotel in a small people carrier in hot weather. I will not be returning."

"Whoever reads comments. Ignore them... go check, experience yourself. Look at my profile, I'm from Norway, I'm not related to the owner or anything... just wanted to give honest opinion. We stayed in Presidential apartment, best views in whole complex. I would pay just for these views... place has around 24 years, it's not new and super modern. BUT.... i love the owner's vibe, super friendly and engaged in guest's comfort. Food they serve in restaurant is better than in a city.... home made and priced reasonably, they use own ingredients when available, tastes like at Home. We booked via Revolut, 1 h after we checked in. Straight away got welcomed by staff.... place i agree, need some slight fixes but the area, size of it and all around is worth of staying there. Owner has own winery, garden with fruits, veggies and many turtles !! 🐢 Plenty parking space, beach near by and 360 view on adriatic, Korcula and Orebič. I highly recommend, and i will definitely book here next year."

"Our family has just returned from the Bluesun Alga. We spent 7 nights here. It's ok. Rooms are small. The food was good. The staff completely ruined the experience for me though. They are not friendly. Not welcoming. If you've spent money and have booked a vacation, you want to feel 'looked after'. This is not the experience here. When we arrived (11pm) I was told to sign in to the WiFi, find my booking reference and email it to the hotel account. Guests should be made to feel relaxed and 'switched off' from the minute they arrive... Not logging on to their email accounts etc The staff couldn't care less about the guests. They are rude and dismissive. The cleaner audibly sighed when we said 'yes please' when she asked if we'd like our room cleaned that day. You just know if there is an issue with your room etc that you are not going to get anywhere when you bring this up. This also happened to us. The young guy who supervises the kids play room was the nicest member of staff we encountered. The pools are busy, small and overcrowded. We would definitely return to Tucepi... But we will be finding a 5 star hotel in the area and going there instead!!"

"Arriving late following a mixup by travel company the greeting was just what was required and couldn't have more welcoming or helpful. Our room for the night was in an adjacent lodge up stairs very clean lovely bed and all amenities required. Luckily it had it's own restaurant which was just as friendly with a good menu and a waiter who was prepared to have a laugh over a lovely meal. Good nights rest and the breakfast was plentiful with cheeses meats fruit yoghurt hot drinks juices to choose from to set us up for the day. Highly recommend "
