The dining area is stylish and the breakfasts were superb. So was the dinners we had there. The location is perfect, a half block from the central plaza. We highly recommend it, and would go back there in a heartbeat."

"This was our second stay at Globales Don Pedro, having stayed two years ago, and we came back almost entirely because of the location. We honestly don’t think it can be beaten. Cala Sant Vicenç is beautiful, peaceful and surrounded by crystal clear water. The setting is genuinely stunning and has so much potential. We did have issues on our first visit two years ago. The food was hit and miss, the choice was limited and the drinks weren’t great. However, we still enjoyed our stay and felt the location and mid range price made it worth returning. Unfortunately, this time we left feeling that the hotel has somehow gone even more downhill rather than improved. The food was extremely hit and miss again. Some meals were fine, others really disappointing, and the choice remains limited, but this to be honest I would expect of a hotel within the price range they offer. You know what you’re getting. The biggest disappointment was the all inclusive drinks. They weren’t amazing last time either, but there wasn’t the huge divide between all inclusive and paying guests that there is now. The all inclusive drinks menu is heavily reduced, but more importantly, the same drink can taste completely different depending on whether you pay for it. Paid cocktails are properly made and served in the correct glass, whereas the all inclusive versions are pre made, all taste very similar and are served in a small, cheap looking glass. Even a mimosa! It isn’t about expecting premium cocktails for free. It’s about the fact that there is such a blatant difference in quality, preparation and presentation. You can literally watch a paying guest receive a properly made cocktail in a nice glass, then order the same thing as an AI guest and receive something pre-mixed in a cheap glass. The difference is impossible not to notice. It made the all-inclusive package feel like a con rather than a benefit. More importantly, it made the whole hotel feel cheap. For a hotel sitting in such a beautiful location, this was incredibly disappointing and completely unnecessary. The AI options at the snack bar- heavily reduced and again poor quality. It’s so strange. The hotel is also looking tired. Two years later, we saw very little sign of investment or upkeep. There were missing tiles around the pool, and the Bali beds on the top sun deck have largely been replaced with basic white sun loungers. It gives the impression that everything is being run as cheaply as possible. There is also a huge, strange unused area at the top of the hotel. Two years ago, we assumed they were developing it into something, apparently not! It remains almost completely empty, with a few basic seats and virtually no lighting once the sun goes down. Such a huge wasted space when it could be used for so much. Our final experience was honestly awful. As the hotel was fully booked, we couldn’t have a late checkout, which we understand. We were instead offered use of the shower room before leaving. I cannot"

"What a gem of a place. As previous reviewers have said rooms are on the small side but we had a balcony that was lovely to sit on and watch the world go by. That being said the room was nicely designed and had a spacious bathroom with a great shower. The location is amazing with a few steps down to the beach. The included breakfast had everything you could want and was freshly made. The absolute icing on the cake is the staff. You wouldn't get better service at the most expensive hotel on the island. So helpful and friendly and the ladies on reception went over and above to make our stay just perfect."
