Nautilus Lanzarote

Another fantastic visit to the Nautilus..Our 6th visit and certainly not our last..very clean complex ,near restaurants, bars and beach..Thank you to our lovely cleaner Lydia (I hope I spelt her name right)..our apartment was always spotless.thank you to reception staff ,nothing was a problem to them..the night porter was a lovely friendly man...keep up the good work everyone, you really have a beautiful complex..looking forward to seeing you all next year

Family of four, with 19 and 17 year olds for 10 nights. We got a spacious modern two bedroom apartment (No 21) overlooking the pool. Came with its own small terrace with two sunbeds, sunbed mattresses, umbrella, and table and chairs. I had emailed ahead and asked if this was possible to get a room near the pool. They had emailed back and although they couldn't guarantee it they would try. This definitely made the holiday for us as it was easy to come and go as we pleased. Hotel reception is very modern and artistic. Lots of artwork displayed around the place, inside and out. The grounds are immaculately kept. There is an area where you can exchange books. Maids great, very friendly. Breakfast excellent. Nice spread, lots of choice, and lady doing the show cooking very welcoming. Pool and surrounds are the cleanest I've ever seen. So easy to get sunbeds and plenty of shade with large umbrellas. A few negatives. The welcome on reception was not great. Lukewarm, told to wait, and then not much info given. Safe was 2 euros a day, had to go back to reception to find this out. Also, 20 euros for aircon for our stay. Luckily the fans in the bedrooms were adequate, but would probably require in high season. The wet room shower is badly designed. The water doesn't run away as it should, flooding the room. There is no on-site bar, we got drinks and snacks from the Spar 5 mins walk away, and stocked up the fridge. The pool is freezing. Ok once you've been in for a bit. It says it is heated and even gives the temperature on a screen in reception, but find this very hard to believe! Late check was 50 euros if the room was available. There is noise from the airport but you get used to it, and I enjoyed seeing the planes take off. Lots of nice bars and restaurants nearby, the majority very well priced. Notable mentions to Hong Kong Island, Devon (steak night), La Roma, Price of India. Peking Duck buffet in Puerto Del Carmen was a pleasant and cheap surprise. Some good bars in the shopping centre to watch the football. Enjoyed the Sportmans bar to watch football, they show all the games, all levels, just ask. Bus to Puerto Del Carmen is cheap and easy. Nearest bus stop is 5 mins walk away. Would definitely visit again.

They never did and the pool never warmed Do not visit if you want a heated pool as it's only heated by the sun so really isn't what I would define as heated If it wasn't for the pool temperature it could have been a great visit. However the coldness and absolute lack of interest in helping is why I score it a 1 and will never ever ever visit again Cold

I would avoid this place as it’s overpriced, the bungalows are very old and tired and need a total refurbishment particularly the bathroom and the horrible sofa in the living room. There are so much better places nearby as we love the Matagorda area.

Enjoyed our seven days at Club Nautilus the accommodation was modern and the rooms were well equipped and clean with cleaners everyday. The only issues we had was we had to pay for the air conditioning (60 euros for 7 nights). There was no pool bar which meant you had to get drinks from local supermarkets and if you wanted a snack had to either leave the resort to eat somewhere else of have food in your apartment which is an option

Stayed at this accommodation for 1 week through jet2 we were allocated bungalow number 14. Not the cleanest at all layers of dust, patio doors were hard to close, dirty chopping board left on the wall and the smallest kitchen I have ever seen with 2 cooking rings and not 4 as advertised, no draining facilities or bench space to put dishes after washing and the tap was haging off the sink and the bungalow was adapted which once again was not something we booked. All furnishings were old, chipped and well worn. Considering we booked a 2 bed superior bungalow which cost 3k we were very dissapointed. I approached reception they said it was a superior room due to being located by the pool and there was nothing they could do and to speak with jet2, I contacted jet2 through their head office as the rep was not available I sent photos of our accommodation and within hours we were moved or should i say we had to move ourselves to apartment 20. This apartment was of a much higher standard, cleaner, brighter, much more room. The complex itself is nice and relaxing with no mad rush for sunbeds, cleaning staff were very friendly, good air con in living room. Upon check out I asked reception what was room 20 incase I wanted to revisit again, they stated it was a superior room, the same as the tiny one previously issued. There is definitely a massive difference in the two rooms. Don't be fooled, there were many complaints being submitted, the hotel were blaming jet2 and jet2 were blaming the hotel, no one wanted to take responsibility. Would I return again? Unless I was guaranteed a room facing towards the sea (which are superior rooms) I would not return as the smaller room which was apparently superior also was definitely a 2 star if that, I would hate to see and ordinary bungalow without the upgrade if that was superior. Photos of what we booked compared to what we received and what you actually see is what we received, nothing like what jet2 advertised.

This is a very quiet place. The rooms a bit tired but apart from that a lovely stay. There is NO BAR. The cleaning team are very friendly. The reception team could be more friendly I had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to arrive at reception when I checked in.

Staying in a superior XL two bedroom apartment. 26th time in Lanzatote. Third in Nautilus. Standards have gone way down. The apartment isn’t clean. Cleaners give a little swish about but don’t clean. All are very pleasant but not cleaners. Bed linen is old and worn. Not changed in 7 days! Furniture is tired and dated. Everything is old and needs to be replaced. I’ve never stayed anywhere that didn’t provide fresh towels every day. The towels here are musty,brown and only changed every 3 days unless you pay extra. We paid €2.500 for a week. I’d expect clean towels. The bathroom is a joke. The drainage system is totally inadequate meaning the bathroom is flooded after every shower. Apart from the cleaners who are cheerful we haven’t had so much as a hello from staff. Reception staff ignore you walking through. You get two sun loungers for your terrace. The cushions are so dirty I feel they have never been washed in years. Kitchen has a decent fridge freezer but the main press doesn’t open properly due to being so badly installed. Air con in the living room is good. Sliding doors are noisy and cumbersome. Pool area is nice. Very breezy as in an elevated position.

The site is very good for access to the restaurants and sea. Housekeeping do a marvellous job in keeping the rooms clean and tidied. The main bugbears were the total lack of information about the accommodation and surrounding area. It took a couple of days to discover that you could buy water from the reception desk instead of lugging it back from the supermarket. Also when we arrived we were informed that they had no knowledge of our booking, despite emails to and from them. It took quite awhile to sort out which and seemed to take a lot of faffing about. Apart from Mathius, the receptionists weren’t that friendly or helpful, which given that we had no idea about safe keys, air conditioning, tv, room card regularly failing to work etc was not great. Despite that I would return because of the rooms, location and artwork.
